Resolved Question: Finding gender out at 16 weeks?
(Sat, 04 Sep 2010 00:32:51 GMT)
I have an ultrasound in a little over a week, and at the time I'll be just over 16 weeks with my twins.
Is there a possibility of finding out the genders at 16 weeks? Did you find out anywhere close to 16 weeks? I'm not banking on us being able to find out that early, but I'm just wondering if there is a possibility or if it happens often that you can find out then;)
Thank you.

Open Question: Is it normal for an ob-gyn to get your information wrong?
(Thu, 02 Sep 2010 23:47:24 GMT)
My husband and I planned our pregnancy even though I didn't have regular cycles. I came off the Ortho-Evra patch on June 5, 2010, and got my period from June 9 - June 15. I got three faint positive tests on June 28, and my primary care physician ordered a blood test on July 1. The blood test came back negative for pregnancy and I got my period on July 16 - July 24. I got another positive HPT on August 21 and a positive urine test at the ob-gyn on August 24. My first appointment was a fami

Resolved Question: 10 weeks and "showing"?
(Wed, 01 Sep 2010 22:38:45 GMT)
Hi everyone, I'm 10 weeks and 1 day pregnant with my second child. I am a little alarmed because I am showing already! I know it's not due to baby, but rather intestinal bulge, bloating, and a couple extra pounds. During my first pregnancy my tummy was completely flat until around 16 weeks. Then I noticed that my waistline was a little thicker, but I wasn't showing at all. In fact, I wore my regular jeans to my 20 week ultrasound. This time it's different and I have this ridiculous belly

Resolved Question: Why do I feel this way when I dream of having an ultrasound and it shows a boy?

I have two boys already and of course I would LOVE to have a little girl. But I honestly feel that I'm meant to have boys and would never trade my little guys in for a girls. I've had one dream of an ultrasound showing little girl parts very early on in pregnancy. I'm 16 weeks now and within the past couple weeks I've had three more dreams of having an ultrasound and showing little boy parts and It makes me upset in the dreams. I hate that I feel upset in the dreams of having a boy. I don't w

I went for my ultrasound yesterday and found out I am having a girl. I'm 21 weeks pregnant everything is good organs and limbs except her head is measuring at 16 weeks so her head is 5 weeks behind. The ultrasound tech then proceeds to tell me and my husband that there is structural damage to her head and she has brain damage. She never pointed anything out to where the structural damage is. When she was doing the ultrasound she was moving around kicking and sucking her thumb. I have to go for

i have a few questions.
i'm 16 weeks, 1 day pregnant with my first. i'm 17. i just had my 16 week appointment yesterday which was an easy appointment. all they did was listen to the baby's heart beat. i forgot to ask what the heart beat was, but my boyfriend saw on the screen that it said 64. so does that mean that they add 100 to it so it would be 164bpm or does anyone know? all he said is it said 64.
after that, they scheduled me for my 20 week appointment, which i will be getting an ultra

Yesterday I went in for my 20week ultrasound, and was dated 20weeks2days according to my early ultrasounds.
My baby was measuring closer to 21weeks5days[almost 22 weeks!] and weighed 15 oz!!! I know its normal for them to go through growth spurts and what not, but how is it possible for 2 weeks to be normal?
There is also a confusion with who the father is because of a break up. I was using OPKs a

I got the results back this morning that there is an increased risk of abnormalities. I am completely freaked out and what mother wouldn't be. Now I was reading that this could also be caused by a older gestation age or twins. I am 18 weeks along and my baby moves all the time and often when I relax I can feel it move on the outside and have been able to since I was 16 and a half weeks which I found strange because I didn't feel my daughter move on the outside till I was 25 weeks and she was o

Resolved Question: ultrasound at 16 weeks how accurate is the gender recognition?
(Thu, 26 Aug 2010 22:00:52 GMT)
I had an ultrasound at 16 weeks 4 days and for the first 30 minutes the baby crossed its legs, after drinking a coke and walking around one of the ultrasound techs was able to get a little bit of a better view, but only said that she think its about 70% its a boy. The other tech wouldnt give me an estimate and said its still 50/50. They both advised me not to go shopping for blue yet. But I thought I saw what would be boy parts. haha, I know it's WAY too early in this ultrasound done at 10 weeks for the baby to even have its little boy or girl parts. But when I saw the baby I felt just by looking at it that it's a boy. Then again at the 13 week scan I thought boy even though baby wouldn't show between its legs. Resolved Question: Is there a better chance that my baby won't be as big this time when it's born?

My first two kids were 8lbs 8 oz born a day before the due date and 9 lbs 13.5 oz. born 4 days after the due date. I did do some walking during the pregnancy but not nearly as much as I do now. And I over did it on the junk food, especially the sweets near the end... This time around I've been way healthier and really don't have a craving for sweets at all. I'm only 16 weeks so hopefully I can keep it up and gain the proper weight this time. I'm 5'7 and started out at 135lbs this time around a

I'm 6 week and 2 days pregnant. I have been getting my HCG levels checked often because I had a miscarriage in June of this year and became pregnant in 1 1/2 months later. Below I have posted my HCG levels. I went for a ultrasound DPO 18, 4 weeks and 4 days, in there was one tiny gestational sac present. I went to the ER at DPO 28 because of pain and slight cramps on my left side and the ultrasound tech saw one yolk sac with a fetal pole with 99bpm. She said the baby was measuring at 5 weeks a

Voting Question: Measuring 5 weeks ahead?
(Sat, 21 Aug 2010 23:25:35 GMT)
I am 16 weeks and my dr measured me as 21 weeks, therefor measuring 5 weeks ahead of what I am suppose to be. Has anyone had this happen? And what ended up being the reason for it? I have an ultrasound August 31, but I want to see if anyone else has experienced this. I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks but it was to rule out kidney stones/cyst/fallopian pregnancy, so she didn't spend much time on looking at the baby. Could it have been twins and one hid behind the other??

Now since I'm measuring so big, doc wants me to get another ultrasound to figure out why. Is there anyone who had an early ultrasound that didn't detect twins, but it turned out you in fact were having twins?
Also, what other reasons could I be measuring that big?

Resolved Question: 16 week ultrasound - gender?

I had my 16 week ultrasound last week and the tech said she couldn't tell me what the gender was because she wasn't 100% sure and she doesn't say guesses. What the heck does that mean?! I tried figureing it out myself but I couldn't tell what the heck I was looking at? Either nothing, or something, or the cord, or I have no idea. I thought most techs can tell by 16 weeks. What are your thoughts of what the gender is in this case? Here's some other known facts....

Resolved Question: i kind of need some answers, about a miscarriage.?

I'M ONLY 16 & I DID NOT KNOW WHAT SO EVER THAT I WAS PREGNANT! BECAUSE I JUST GOT OFF MY PERIOD! Just figured I'd make that clear.
Well Friday night, I went to the ER with cramping, and brown discharge, not a lot, but enough to worry me.
The doctor came in and said that I was 3 weeks pregnant. And he said he thought that I was miscarrying.
Friday night my HCG levels were 640.
