Ok so my sister in law is prego 27 weeks , she didnt find out she was pregnant until she was 15 weeks or atleast that is what she says.... Anyways I know she drank during the time she was pregnant because i was with her but she denies she ever drank anything, she is 23 so I dunno why she would deny it and we all know she didnt know she was pregnant at the time. Anyway she got assistance to cover her but because of hurricane ike she had to wait for another month before being able to see a doctor THEN after that happened she had problems with the Insurance Company so now she is 27 weeks and FINALLY seeing a doctor , she was smart enough to start prenatal when she found out . Anyway she had her blood drawn when she was 17 weeks and the test came back positive that the baby could have down syndrom or spinal bifida but she is in denial , she keeps telling me NO the baby doesnt have that , the doctor started seeing her every 2 weeks , I went to the same doctor and he didnt start seeing me every 2 weeks until I was like 31 or 32 weeks so I found this odd. Anyone have any info about this test and what it could mean ?

Well I am 17 now and about 2 weeks ago we and my bf had unprotected sex for the first time.It was really quick tho and he took it out before he could come.so I got a bit paranoid after that. Then a little over a week later which was about 3 nights ago my dad made me very upset so I cried really hard for a very long time then I started getting a really bad headache and then right after that in the car to my friends house I felt nauseated and felt my face discoloring but I didn't throw up or anything. That only lasts for a minute or less. I also didn't eat that day since 10 in the morning and that happened at like 10 at night. I still had headaches still when I got to my friends then took some Tylenol and it went away. Then for the last 3 days I felt a TINY bit nauseated for very brief seconds.I don't know if maybe it's just hallucination cause I'm so scared and nervous. I'm suppose to start on my period in about 3 days but my periods are never on the same days. I've been late in the past before. I'm just scared I might be late this time and it's because I'm pregnant?? I'll get a pregnancy test to try in 4 days if my period doesn't come soon. ok so im on birth control and im 2 pills into week 4 aka the "peach" pills and i haven't gotten my period yet. i have started taking it 2 months ago and the first month i got my period the first day of week 4 (the first peach pill). could i be pregnant or am i just overreacting? the only reason im freaking out is because me and my bf had sex at 11 o'clock and i take my pills at 10 but that day i took it after we had sex. he said it was ok but im not so sure. please help, i really don't want to be a 17 year old mom, plus i don't have a job so i don't have many options.

Okay, whether you're a science/health expert, or know from experience. I have a few questions regarding a possibly pregnant girlfriend. Thank you greatly to all who can respond - criticism is welcomed! Okay- first question. If you have unprotected sex, and she is not on any form of birth control, and you 'release' inside of her- although it is very possible and maybe likely she will get pregnant, does it necessarily mean she definitely will? Has anyone ever beaten the odds before? Secondly - how long after the intercourse has occured, should you wait to get tested for pregnancy? For instance, if this was a week ago, would it be too early to test her and see if she might be pregnant? Third - How soon do you see the side effects of being pregnant? Incase you haven't caught on lol, my girlfriend may be pregnant. We've been dating for 2 years almost 2 1/2, but we're still fairly young. It was an accident but at the same time it wasn't, thats a different story lol. BUT, i mean, a few side effects for example... excessive appetite or excessive peeing.. both signs of possible pregnancy. But my girlfriend... we had sex and i 'came' in her.. and within 3-4 days she was already saying she was peeing alot and eating more than usual.. shes like always hungry now. One day she said she felt like vomiting. I believe her but at the same time.. I wasnt sure if it was just a mind game or it was in her head because I know the symptoms take up to a while. Any other information on pregnancy would be greatly appreciated. This happened between a week and a half, and 2 weeks ago, i dont remember the exact date. Her period, if shes getting it, is due around the 15th of the month. Only reason im asking all of this, is because my girlfriend..we are both in high school.. yes.. way too young i know (im 17) And the past month our relationship was at its best.. and we just had a vacation from school, and things with us were just perfect. I'm 17 years old and almost 36 weeks pregnant. I've been having those Braxtin Hicks contractions for the past month or so. But today I've had sharp pains in my stomach. Mainly on the sides. And I went on a huge cleaning frenzy this afternoon when I got out of school. I didn't do a bunch of moving around work. Alot of it was sitting down. Like sorting out laundry. And folding baby clothes. Stuff like that. Now I'm having constant low dull back pain and a shooting pain going down both my inner thighs. I've been in constant discomfort all day and the pains in my stomach come and go. What should I do??!?!

ok, so last month i though i had what was a period, but it was way early and very little, well ive been having to pee alot, been getting heartburn alot been really tierd, and very hungry all the time, anyways i took a test and it was positive but very very light. and i took more after that and they were negitive??!? soo if i got pregnant the last time i would be 8 weeks.. if i am not 8 weeks, i might have gotten pregnant last month on the 27th....i was very fertial on the 27th and i had sex that day to the 29th so it would be 11 days, yesterday night i had a cramping like feeling, that lasted 10 minutes and went away havent had it since, so im all confused i dont know if i am pregnant, if last month, or this month, you know, so tommarow i am going to the doctors to get a urin test done.. my questions are.. 1.are there test better then the ones in the store, why?? 2.will i get a correct answer if i concieved 11 days ago..the 27th??? 3.do you think the cramping pain last night could possibly have been implantation?? 4.what are there test like??? 5.is the clinic test free??? I just started cramping like i'm about to start my period. they aren't severe, but they are noticeable and don't feel good. I'm not bleeding at all, just cramping. I've been thinking i'm going to leak something but i haven't. Has anyone exprianced this? I have a doctor's appointment on Thursday, do you think i should wait until then instead of freaking out unless i start bleeding or having severe cramping. Please help me, I need some reassurance. Ok, so its a long story but the short version is that my moms side of the family are all users and abusers. we only EVER hear from them when they want something thou wen my mom desperately needed help years ago, she was pregnant and really sick and couldn't work etc all her family had mysteriously disappeared. Now they think we have it made or whatever and only call when they want money or clothes or a hook up to a job...At one time My aunt and uncle who i hate actually treated my mom like a slave. Cooking and cleaning most of the day while they sat on their asses. The recently lost their business and were asking my mom for help and sucking up to us lol...Last week my aunt who has 3 children over the age of 20 and 1 teen and a working husband asked for $500, no given reason just that she is "short" blah blah. She works also and she is constantly bailing out her eldest daughter because her and her husband are spendaholics and her son who is over 25 still acts like he's 17 and needs money for everything. Right at this moment my mom's cousin is staying with us on our couch because shes looking for a job, my mom had found her one but she got fired and its probably because she is on the phone 20hrs a day (Shes 42years old with 5 kids and a hubby) Its just her here. Something happened YEARS ago and now i think my mom is trying to prove herself to everyone. She doesn't ask the family for help rarely. And she gives money to her parent who are on retirement every week. Shes the only one out of 8 children to give them $$. That doesnt matter because my grandparents are there and they're the g-parents. Me, my sis and brother are all in college at the moment and parent pay my interest off so that when i finish and start working it won't b overwhelming or watever only because my bro and sis don't hav to pay till they finish their course and its interest free loans. So my moms WHOLE family close and extended only vist or call because the need this and that. my moms cousin a couple of months ago who she has never talked to or met in her life called up and asked her to buy all this stuff for her daughters wedding...a wedding my mom wasn't even invited to...How rude is that?!!! I can't stand my family seriously they are all annoying and we would be better off without them. There are so much other stuff like how just recently my other aunt asked my mom to pay her daughters $17000 school tuition even though mom has three college kids of her own to look out for and a little one who needs to start a college fund. So much stuff that is soooo stupid..What would you do? I found out 2 weeks ago, and im going to the clinic saturday. i'll be 17 on the 25th of this month. i took 2 tests and they were both posative.. will the doctor do a blood test to confirm it, or an ultrasound .. what else will happen at the first appointment? im kinda nervous about it

My cycle is 32 days, and it has been 32 since I had a miscarriage in Jan 07. (I have been keeping track)...Anyhow I was due to start Oct 19th well that has definitely come and gone. I had extremely light spotting the first week of Novenber...reminded me of implantation bleeding that I had with my first pregnancy 1 month before my miscarriage. Well then almost 10 days after I spotted on Nov 13 i started spotting/bleeding and it lasted a little over two weeks. (I didn't even bleed enough to fill a pad...sorry tmi...my normal periods fill 3-4 pads a day)...Well during all this I have had multiple negative tests. I have multiple signs of pregnancy: sore breasts( which have doubled in sze in the last few months), consistent headaches, fatigue, frequent urination, nauseous but no vomiting.....etc. I am going to a free clinic at the end of this week for an ultrasound. Has anyone else gone through what I have....I have had an actual period of over three months...Please give me your input thank you

I am 17 weeks pregnant and my husband and I have known sense I was about 6 weeks along. He seems to keep distancing himself from me. We recently took in a baby goat from my grandma. It needs to be bottle fed. At first my husband really liked the idea, he said it would give us good practice for when the baby comes. Well now he can't take it when that baby goat cries or wakes us up at night. He has gotten very angry and told me that if the goat wasn't gone when he got back from work that he was going to kill it. I know it is just a goat and not the same as a baby but it worries me that he can't take the crying. I mean if he can't take a baby goat crying how is he going to be able to handle a baby? I know he is under a lot of stress. Just thought I would see if anyone else has a husband that acted distant or angry when you were pregnant. I know yalls storied probably don't have anything to do with a goat lol but this is just one thing I could think of where he acted like this. He wanted kids. I think he is just scared. He doesn't really talk about it.

I was in school earlier today when my mom called me and told me that the doctor had called her with the results. I am pregnant. I took about 5 home pregnancy tests and all of those were negative, so I went to see my family doctor and they drew blood. Now I am waiting for my boyfriend to come home so I can talk to him. I am so scared. My boyfriend doesn't have a job and neither do I, we're both in high school (even though my school has a program for pregnant chicks), we don't have a lot of money and I don't know. OH! My brother found out about a week ago that his gf is pregnant too on top of it. I just need some reassurance that things will work out.. I need something. My boyfriend and I are both looking for jobs. I am not a stupid young girl. I am a smart person who made a poor choice to not take birth control sooner. We used a condom but it broke. I am not going to have an abortion and I am not going to give my child up for adoption. If my family were terribly broken and screwed up, then I would. I thank you all for your answers and honesty. Ok a little background. My husband and I just started ttc'ing. I had my Mirena taken out on Dec. 17. I started my period on Dec. 20. My OB told me I may start early due to the Mirena removal. I wasn't due to start until Dec. 24 so I started a little early. I believe I O'd on CD13. It is now CD18. My husband and I (TMI ALERT) have noticed the past couple days that my areola's are bigger. And when in the shower, the water hitting my breasts and nipples hurts. This has never happened unless I've been pregnant. I have two other children. I've never planned a pregnancy before and so since both my previous children were oops blessings, I'm not sure how early I can tell this stuff. Is it possible for me to be pregnant already and already having tender breasts and nipples? And the areola's enlarging? I am anxious to test but I know I need to wait a week or so before I do. I'm also really tired lately but that could be from stress. I should point out that my period has NEVER made me have tender breast or breast enlargement. (Much to my chagrin) I'm just about dying to know if it's possible yet. I've heard that tender breasts can start as little as two to three days after conception. Is this true? I am pregnant and when I go to my next doctors visit I will be 17 weeks and like a coupe days???My doctors office normally does not tell you what your having until 20 weeks,,on a website I visit several women already know what there having at 15 weeks....so should I ask ahead of time??? I already have two boys so I have seen ultrasound pics b4 and the ones I have seen have been clear...I just wanted to know if I should really buckle down and ask or just wait..

I am 8 weeks pregnant and I've had a bug recently so I have been able to cover up my morning sickness the only problem is that my mum keeps trying to give me medicine which I cannot take due to my situation. I need to tell her but I'm so scared that she will be disappointed in me. I am smart and I was suppose to go to uni in march but I've had to postpone it. I am so scared and I don't know what to do please help me!

I am now 17 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I'm worried that I have not had much antenatal care and wondered whether my experience is normal or whether my concerns are justified? I had my booking in appointment with a "supply" midwife (usual midwife was on holiday) when I was about 6 weeks. I had blood tests done at the hospital in November 2008. I have not had any results from these blood tests... I have had my first scan which showed the baby was fine. This was on 1st Dec 2008. Since then NOTHING! I don't have another appointment until I'm 19 weeks. I am really worried, I want to know my baby is OK as I'm not yet far gone enough to feel it move and I don't seem to have many pregnancy symptoms anymore. The usual midwife has rung me to say she is on sick leave so can't see me! Does this seem right to you guys? Thanks in advance...

But I got a spider bite a couple weeks before Christmas. And started taking amoxicillin. That cause me to have a yeast infection. And now I'm a couple weeks past due of my period. Could this be because of my yeast infection or could i be pregnant? If I get pregnant my mom will kick me out of the house. I've been with the same guy for 3 years. If she even knows i'm having sex i will be kicked out of the house. is there anyway I can get a pregnancy test without her knowing?

my boyfriend came inside me on 12/17/08. and i havnt experienced any bleeding until 1/5/09 but it is very light and is pink. could i be pregnant or what else could be wrong ? somone plz help idk wat is wrong with me

I am supposed to be 12 1/2 weeks pregnant. I had an ultrasound done at 5 weeks to confirm dates etc, But my uterus (fundal height) is measuring at 17 weeks. I have been feeling flutters occasionally but i'm still not 100% sure if its the baby moving or if its just gas. This is my 2nd pregnancy. When i lay on my back my uterus sticks out just below my belly button and if i lay on my side for a really long time and then roll back onto my back there will be a lump on one side of my tummy. Can an ultrasound really be wrong by dates as much as 5 weeks? At the 5 weeks ultrasound we saw a tiny heartbeat but that was all. I have another ultrasound at the end of the week.

I had unprotected sex 3 weeks ago. I know stupied. Anyways, I am on a birth control pill for like 4 years i am 17 and i have only ever done it once. but then just last week i had sex again WITH a condom, but ever since then i have been discharging like a dark brown color regularly. I dont always have to go to the bathroom im not always hungry and i dont feel or get sick or anything. no smytoms of pregnancy besides that brown substance coming out. Also I have kept taking my pill cuz i don't want to get pregnant. So with all that could I be pregnant? was does this mean? HELP!!

Im 14, Im not allowed to date, but i do anyway. My bf is 17 and graduating in may. We have been going out for almost 2 months. I was prescribed Ferrous Sulfate, and I have never had problems with my iron until now. But the thing is these pills make me completely sick. I mean I throw up until my ribs hurt after I take them. My question is what can I do to help make taking these pills easier, They make me feel horrible. I dont have a my next doc appoinment until the 20th so I need some help now, Thanks

my doctor keeps telling me im 32 weeks pregnant, only problem is ive been 32 weeks for about three weeks now. I have a due date of feb 17 so that would make me 34 wekks almost 35 right? Is my doc slipping on his records or am i mistaken?

My doctor just called and said my iron levels are little low. She told me to start taking iron pills along with my prenatal vitamins. Can having low iron levels be dangerous? Kind of scared me! Also does anyone know of what kind of iron supplement I should take?

My best is feeling my baby kicking and know in a few short weeks or days I will have my little baby to hold in my arms. My worst part is not being able to sleep, heartburn, and having to pee all the time. I am due Jan. 17 I am having a baby boy and his name is gonna be Connor Adam or Connor Lynn. My mom found out about 2 weeks ago that my sister was 4 months pregnant. She had been hiding it from her for the past 3 months, hoping she wouldn't notice. When she found out, she was really upset and appalled. My sister has always been a very irresponsible person. She can barely keep her cell phone charged let alone keep up with doing her own laundry. My mom told me that there was nothing she can do about her having the child, since she will be 17 when it is born. We would all like her to give it up for adoption, but we think she's going to try to keep it. Is there anything my mom can do about her having it? I live in Michigan, is there anything she has to say about it legally?

when will i start wanting to eat and start gainging wait i am around either 14 weeks or 17 weeks my doctor isnt sure untill the ultrasound....but i still have yet to really gain weight my sister is pregnant with twins and shes about 2 weeks further then me but she looks huge i have thrown up constantly and somes days i still wanna puke but its supsided a little i want to gain weight for my baby but how long does it take i dont want to force myself to eat i just dont have and appetite what should i do anyway to get ur apptite back and am i normal thank you!!!!!!

i am 17 weeks pregnant, this was a planned pregnancy, we are so happy about this baby, my chances of the baby having down syndrome were slightly high, i took the test and there are problems. not only that but my baby has a heart problem, the baby will need an operation as soon as its born, the chances of success are not great, and the baby will be on medication for the rest of its life. how this happened i have no idea yet. like i say, we love this baby, but what sort of life will this child have? please dont judge me and say im evil, know one can say anything unless they have been in this situation, to terminate my baby an injection will be given to stop the baby's heart, please i need advice from mothers who were in this situation and kept their child, what sort of life did your child have? mothers who chose their child wouldn't have such a great life

Every once in a while the right side of my stomach will stick out further than the left. Is this because of the position of the baby? I am 5'5 and only weigh 116 lbs so I can pretty much see anything that might stick out. Also I think I am feeling the baby move. I only feel it when I lay really still. It feels like a little thump. And sometimes if I lightly push on my belly it will move again. Do you think it really is the baby?

I get this really sharp pain next to my belly button. It has only happened 2 times in the past weeks and doesn't last but a minute. Is this normal? It almost feels like my stomach might just be stretching. But I'm not sure. has anyone else had this problem?

the pains are just down frm my boobs.. its not a ever lasting cramp ... It lasts for bowt few secz then goes away .. Realy painfull tho! feels lyk period cramp! ... im sitting now and they have totaly gone ... but every now nd then they'l be back again. is this normal?! and its my 2nd pregnancy! didnt have this with my first.

Have any of you pregnant women moved out of state during your pregnancy? Like with no one but your husband/boyfriend/whatever? If so how did you handle not being by your family? How did you emotionally handle everything? Did you end up with postpartum depression? I ask think because I am 17 and 19 weeks pregnant in March I will be moving to New York with my boyfriend and we will be with his family. I hate change for one. I don’t know how to emotionally handle not having any of my family there for me. I know my family doesn’t treat me right but its just the security of having them there if I did need them. My close family member will be just over 10 hours away. I am scared to death that I will get postpartum depression due to the alone feeling. Don’t get me wrong my boyfriend’s family is great but I just fear so much. Next I know it may sound stupid but I am going to put my dog to sleep. Mind you she is 13 and her hips are going bad the vet said it is the best thing to do for there. There fore it has nothing to do with the move but I am just SO upset over putting my baby down I cant handle it I cry at just the thought.

I am only 20 years old and I am getting married on May the 16th this year. I was recently in a discussion with one of my friends, who is pregnant. She is the only one that has a job, her boyfriend is still looking. So, after she has this baby what should she do, I asked her and she said "I will have to go back to work." Ok, that is simple enough, I mean she is going to need the money and if the man is still trying to get a job then she is going to have to work. I love my job and everything about it. My future husband is going to be working about 3-4 days a week and will be making between $15-$20 an hour. If I were to get pregnant (in about 6 years), would it be wrong for me to want to go back to work, part-time, after my 12 week maternity leave? I was always taught that it doesn't matter how you raise a child, in the end, the child is going to make his or her own choices. Example: Let's say this, I want to raise my child as a cute little girl and I teach her how to put make-up on and how to dress nice. Ok, now she is 17 and she looks just like a boy, did I do something to make her decide that she would rather be a tomboy than a priss? Here's the question, would I be a horrible mother, if I took my child to day care, for about 6 hours, every day of the week besides Sunday and Wednesday (also, I get two days off every other week), so I could work to get a little extra cash even though the father is bringing in plenty of money?

I have been looking at births and birth stories on you tube and they all look so easy. I mean to what I pictured they look like a breeze.. I would just like some first hand experience, stories, videos what ever. I don't know if people on youtube just edit out the hard stuff, like labour to make the whole birth experience look easy. I know I might seem young and uneducated but I thought birth was all screaming and huge amounts of pain. Maybe all the videos i looked at, the women had epidurals.. Or would they just have a higher pain threshold? When you were in labour and pushing were you screaming? Or calm? As it is my first pregnancy I would like to know what to expect if thats possible. my best friend had a miscarriage. she's only 17, but this is her second one. she was raped and had only known about the pregnancy for about a week. however, we had already given the baby a nickname and loved it. we've both cried a lot. i let her know i was here for her if she wanted to talk, and let her know this wasn't her fault. i gave her the biggest hug i could and laid on her bed with her. i don't know what else i can do. i really feel like i should be able to do more for her. i've never been pregnant, let alone lost a baby and i have no idea how she must feel. she's laying on the couch sleeping, and i have no idea what to do for her. what can i do to support her and let her know i'm here for her? i just feel like i can do more, i just dont know what.

I am 17 years old and a proud mommy to a 4 month old baby boy, I know it is young and I wish I was older before I had a baby but I wonuldn't change it for the world now... Anyways... My dad left when I was 5 I just got back in contact with him 3 years ago.. he tried sending me money and gifts to "buy" me, he wanted me to come stay with him so his dad could see me and everything I refused to see his dad as he is a child molester, I found out I was pregnant at 16 I called my dad to tell him he didn't answer so I left him a message 2 weeks later I still didn't hear from him so I called again still no answer so through out my pregnancy I tried to call my dad, qhwn I was 8 months pregnant one of my friends called my dad's wifes phone to tell them I was having pregnancy problems and the baby would be here soon, his wife didn't answer so she texted her she replied to her text saying "tell her congrats" a week later I got something in the mail from my dad's wife it was a gift card for my sons carseat. I tried calling to tell them thank you but noone answered well I had my son and I tried calling yet again to tell them I had my son they didn't answer or call back *sad thing is my brothers dad called me to see how I was after I had the baby* Well Christmas I sent out Christma's cards to everyone with pictures of my son, so I decided to send my dad one just to see if he would at least let me know he got the pictures... 2 weeks later i heard from everyone but my dad everyone I sent the cards to got them , so I called my grandma and she said "he got the card and pictures" I was hurt that he couldn't even send me an email to tell me he got the card I thought it was messed up... I have tried and tried to contact my dad to talk to him about everything but he doesn't give me the chance please any advice will be appreciated please no rude comments about it. I know he is probably hurt that I got pregnant so young but its not like I said ok time for an abortion I stepped up to the plate and have been raising my son with very little help. P.s... im not even allowed to talk to my brothers
