I am 20 weeks pregnant and my ultrasound shows that my little one has mild right renal pyelectasis. From what i've been told this occurs a lot more in male babies than female but I have not seen any percentages showing how common in males it is compared to female. Has anyone seen anything on this? Wanting to know if anyone has had this with their child, what gender their child is and if they've seen studies showing percentages on how common it is in each gender.

This is my first litter with her, and I've done all the research possible on whelping, preparing and everything. I am currently feeding her Barking at the Moon by Solid Gold, and I'm concerned about whether this is the appropriate food to feed her. I am concerned because I'm not sure if the calcium in the food is already at too high a level, and if I should switch her to something else. She is currently only three weeks along. I want some legitimate answers to my question. I do not want to hear about spaying her, she will be spayed after this litter, and we have a waiting list of takers for the puppies so I am prepared for the litter. A whelping box large enough in our office has been prepared for her. I am only concerned about her food, and genuinely worried I am not providing good nutrition for her at this time. It's 41% protein and 20% fat.

Ok, so its a long story but the short version is that my moms side of the family are all users and abusers. we only EVER hear from them when they want something thou wen my mom desperately needed help years ago, she was pregnant and really sick and couldn't work etc all her family had mysteriously disappeared. Now they think we have it made or whatever and only call when they want money or clothes or a hook up to a job...At one time My aunt and uncle who i hate actually treated my mom like a slave. Cooking and cleaning most of the day while they sat on their asses. The recently lost their business and were asking my mom for help and sucking up to us lol...Last week my aunt who has 3 children over the age of 20 and 1 teen and a working husband asked for $500, no given reason just that she is "short" blah blah. She works also and she is constantly bailing out her eldest daughter because her and her husband are spendaholics and her son who is over 25 still acts like he's 17 and needs money for everything. Right at this moment my mom's cousin is staying with us on our couch because shes looking for a job, my mom had found her one but she got fired and its probably because she is on the phone 20hrs a day (Shes 42years old with 5 kids and a hubby) Its just her here. Something happened YEARS ago and now i think my mom is trying to prove herself to everyone. She doesn't ask the family for help rarely. And she gives money to her parent who are on retirement every week. Shes the only one out of 8 children to give them $$. That doesnt matter because my grandparents are there and they're the g-parents. Me, my sis and brother are all in college at the moment and parent pay my interest off so that when i finish and start working it won't b overwhelming or watever only because my bro and sis don't hav to pay till they finish their course and its interest free loans. So my moms WHOLE family close and extended only vist or call because the need this and that. my moms cousin a couple of months ago who she has never talked to or met in her life called up and asked her to buy all this stuff for her daughters wedding...a wedding my mom wasn't even invited to...How rude is that?!!! I can't stand my family seriously they are all annoying and we would be better off without them. There are so much other stuff like how just recently my other aunt asked my mom to pay her daughters $17000 school tuition even though mom has three college kids of her own to look out for and a little one who needs to start a college fund. So much stuff that is soooo stupid..What would you do? As daughter to a mother who is a push over and a family that are users and my mom is the youngest 4th youngest out of my grandparents children on moms side by the way. ok my last period was november 16, 2008. my expected period was december 14, 2008.... its now january 6 and im now 3 weeks late. i usually get it every 30 days give or take 2 days late or early. coul i be pregnant?? i took a few hpts and they were negative, i took one at a week and 4 days late and the other and a doctors urine test at 2 weeks late. the doctor told me to go back when my next period was sopposed to come (2 weeks after i saw her) if i still didnt have a period. i dont have stds and all that stuff lol. me and my boyfriend arent planning or preventing lol symptoms ive had and still have: -3 week late period.. i usually get sore boobs before it comes, they never got sore lol -lower back pain in the middle closer to the right side -a pinching kind of dull cramping behind my pubic bone in the middle but more on the right side -i had random headaches for the first week late -more sleepy since a few days after period was late -i get car sick alot easier now -tiny tiny bit naseous occasionally -boobs look a little fuller -boobs a little sore on the top if i push on them -im bloated -below my bellybutton is round lol -greenish-blue veins in my boobs? -darker nipples -last night there was alot of white looking bumps on my areolas -pretty emotional more -if my belt is to tight its a bit umcomfy now, had to move up a hole lol im NOT stressed im always happy lol no exercise im very lasy lol i eat alot, always have no diets i weight like 134, im 5'3" im 18 boyfriends 20 what do you guys think??anybody had all these symptoms, tested negative on urine tests and ended up pregnant?????! please be NICE lol thanks!! =]] ~if i am i have the cutest way to tell my boyfriend.. get baby booties a pair of blue and a pair of pink and put a blue and a pink bootie in a little box and wrap it and give it to him, he will be happy lol~ good idea??? sorry so long!! lol

Is a weight gain of 15 lbs normal at 20 weeks pregnant (with one baby)? This is my first baby, so I don't have anything to compare to. I know books say if your BMI is normal (which mine was) then you should gain 25-35 lbs your whole pregnancy. So have I gained too much by this point, or am I ok?

I work as a freelance steel pans and drums tutor 5 days a week for approximately 8 hours per day. I love my job but it is quite noisy. I work with kids playing the pans from groups of 5 to 20 and I accompany them on the drum kit so it's music music music all day long. I am 12 weeks pregnant and continuing to work However one of the teachers told me today I should cut down my hours as the music and vibrations is bad for the baby! Is this true?? I can't cut my hours as i'm self-employed and counting on evey penny I make as I have to save up as i don't get much maternity pay (well the government rate of £117 isn't going to get me through the week). Also my boyfriend is out of work so no joy there either. However I don't want to do anything that will harm the baby.

Ok a little background. My husband and I just started ttc'ing. I had my Mirena taken out on Dec. 17. I started my period on Dec. 20. My OB told me I may start early due to the Mirena removal. I wasn't due to start until Dec. 24 so I started a little early. I believe I O'd on CD13. It is now CD18. My husband and I (TMI ALERT) have noticed the past couple days that my areola's are bigger. And when in the shower, the water hitting my breasts and nipples hurts. This has never happened unless I've been pregnant. I have two other children. I've never planned a pregnancy before and so since both my previous children were oops blessings, I'm not sure how early I can tell this stuff. Is it possible for me to be pregnant already and already having tender breasts and nipples? And the areola's enlarging? I am anxious to test but I know I need to wait a week or so before I do. I'm also really tired lately but that could be from stress. I should point out that my period has NEVER made me have tender breast or breast enlargement. (Much to my chagrin) I'm just about dying to know if it's possible yet. I've heard that tender breasts can start as little as two to three days after conception. Is this true? Ok i had unprotected sex with man A twice on Nov. 20 late on Nov. 21 I started my normal period. normal amount of days and heavy as usual. I lost my son at 22 1/2 weeks due to an incompetant cervix. I was told that I would have to get a cerclage immediately on my next pregnancy. She is 20 years old and pregnant, i have just given birth to my baby 4 weeks ago, and my partners niece keeps calling me fat. my partner says its only a bit of banter, but surely calling somebody who's just given birth fat is very immature and rude. You just don't say things like that. Both her and her mother always call me fat, like they are messing about, but i have had enough. I am only a size 12 for gods sake, they get me so mad. I updated my facebook page saying that my newborn had put weight on and was happy, and my partners bitchy niece made a comment saying " fat like his mummy" ??? well i wasn't happy and messaged back telling her to F off. I know i shouldn't have but it got me so mad. How would you deal with this idiotic family member?. Cos i have to tread carefully with it being my partners young niece. I am supposed to be 20 weeks now but i have not seen a doctor sense i was 11 weeks everything was o.k then. However I do not feel pregnant any more. My stomach doesnt seem to be growing my breast aren't tender. I feel pain in my stomach every now and then and sometimes there's like a tight feeling in my abdomen it doesnt it hurt but it's very annoying because it feels like a ball sitting in one spot. When i touch my stomach i cant feel anything and it doesnt feel hard at all. It looks like i just have a pudge. Can my lack of pregnancy feeling mean im having a miscarriage Plz help?

Right now I am on implanon and it sucks. I have gained 45 ponds in one year and bleed for 6 weeks, every six weeks. I talked to a obgyn about this and she said it was normal that this was my rythm. But when I went on the implanon website they said it wasnt normal. Also i fall into that .01% of people that most birth controls do not work for. I have five children. the crazy part is that after an accident when I was a child they had to surgically remove half of my uterus and I was told that It there was only a 20% chance that I would ever concieve and only 2% that I would ever carry a child to term. Imagine my shock when I did become pregnant and carried a healthy baby girl for 36 weeks. After that I went on depo one year later exactly I was pregnant again. After that I went on the pill and just to be safe my husband and I used condoms and spermicide. I became pregnant again exactly one year later. With my fourth we decided to use the family planning method. It worked for 3 years until we got a little intoxicated and we blew off the timing. With my fifth I had the Minerna IUD. Despite what they tell you apparently the real statistics are that 1 in 10 get pregnant with this. I went another 3 years before I did get pregnant. Before you say I should get my tubes tied, or do something permanent, this is absolutley out of the question, one because it is a miracle that I became pregnant in the first place and 2 becasue I plan on being a surrogate for my sister in law who cannot have children. Also my mom is like me she had 7 children and my little brother was the result of my mom having her tubes tied and my dad had a vesectomy. 12 years after her 6 my bro was born and I am 22 years older than him. In the meantime I need something with out all the side effects. all the other birth controls I was on, I never got a period at all and didnt gain any wait. I was a size 6 after my 4th child and now I am pushing size 18. Any suggettions would be great or even websites where I can compare different methods.

Hey guys! Just wanted to get answers and experiences on two things. 1. Baby Movement When I was 16 weeks pregnant until 18 weeks I was getting really strong flutters maybe 2-3 times a week.. For the past 2 weeks I have been feeling little pinchs /twinges in my stomach.... Also sometimes i feel a really hard thud like something is kicking me... from 18 weeks i was getting them mainly at night once or twice but for the last 3 days i have been getting them day and night...Is that the baby? Please share your first baby movements with me plz as i am a first time mum! 2. In the mornings my stomach is really soft , well the part below my belly button and in the afternoon/evenings it is hard..any reasons to why this is? Thanks in advance

Ok here goes nothing... Im a mother of 2 teenagers I have been living with their father (call him H) since I was 16 years old, never married. After six years of “marriage” and a lot of physical and mental abuse, I met this guy (I’ll call him S) that was really sweet to me and treated me very well but until then we were just friends. I found out one day that the man I had given my youth to had another woman. I went to college the day I found out, and I was mopey all day. S was really comforting and spent the day with me we didn't go to any of our classes, we just sat in the students lounge talking all day. A few weeks went by and i started seeing him as more than a friend, he had been with me thru thick and thin before and I felt like I was falling for him and on top of that I felt attracted to him because he was a virgin and I always wanted to know how it felt to make love to a virgin man (he was 20 I was 22).One day while in an English literature class we were passing naughty notes to one another and i asked him how it felt to kiss his first girl. Well my cousin who is 16 is dating this 20 yr old and he lives like 10 hours away and he comes down often to see her. Well tonight she tells me that they are having sex. I don't want to break the trust between us but I am worried that something may happen to her. They have only been together for about 2 weeks and they are already telling each other they love each other. And so on. I am confused about what to do. Should I tell her parents whats going on or should I just sit back and do nothing. PLEASE help me we are very close but I am just worried about her. I'm 20 weeks pregnant and for the past couple years I've suffered some chronic back pain and have been taking Soma since. Last week I took 2 Soma at one time because the pain in my back was keeping me awake at night. I also took 2 again yesterday. My Doctor couldn't give me a yes or no answer but I'm really scared it could of harmed my baby.. Any advice? Anyone whos taken Soma during pregnancy?

alright so i have a few questions if you could just please help me answer them. i am 20 weeks, 5 days pregnant with a baby girl, just so you know. :) question one: last night, i woke up in the middle of the night with really bad cramps, and i passed a bowel movement... well, 2 of them. then, i felt better. but here lately, its been hurting to even pass a bowel movement. like in my lower, lower tummy (just about where your hairline starts down there and a little upwards)... is this ok? question 2: sometimes i get some sharp pains in my stomach... but they go away... could it be braxton hicks already? or what? question 3: when i get up off the couch or bed or move a lot, my lower, lower stomach gets a sharp pain... is that normal? maybe im getting up too fast or too rough? question 4: my baby hasnt been moving a lot today? she normally moves a lot. is this something to be concerned about? i mean, i have felt her kick today, just not a lot and not for a long period of time. after i get offline, im gonna go lay in bed and rub this lotion stuff on my tummy. that usually makes her move. :) but yeah... should i be concerned? question 5: does the baby change posistions a lot? like... one day i feel her kick on the left side, then i feel a kick on the right side a few days later? does she "punch" with her hands too? and can her head be on the left side, then be on the right side the next day? i just wanted to know if she moves around a lot... question 6: i know this is weird... but sometimes i get these like "sensations!" in my vaginal area... around my clitrous. not so much a wonderful one... just one that makes it feel like im peeing myself so i quickly grab down there... is this normal? whats that all about? question 7: my belly isnt always completely hard... sometimes its still a little mushy. is that normal for how far along i am? and i feel like im not big enough... does it seem like your belly is smaller when you lay down? it does to me. and just sometimes i feel super super huge and other times i just dont. like today... i just dont feel that big. :( is that ok? question 8: i have gained 9 lbs. so far... is that ok? thanks. if you can just please answer these. please. this is also my first pregnancy. :) also, i get sharp pains in my lower back too... is that ok? usually when i have a cramp around front. but sometimes not.

I had the Mirena IUD for 3 years. It expelled Nov 20. I had 2 bouts of bleeding, one looked more like a period and the second one was very heavy with large clots. The week of clotting was the first week of December. I went forward 28 days from the first day of second bleeding spell to try to get an idea of when I may start, which was Dec 31. Of course I didn't start by then. On Jan 1 I was cramping (felt like menstrual cramping) Still didn't start. Took a test and it was positive. Worried about possible ectopic pregnancy. My ovary feels like its hurting on the left side. I have had cysts before but don't know if this is what it is. I am not bleeding or spotting. Anyone had one before? Is the pain similar to a ovarian cyst? Worried that maybe since I became pregnant so quickly after expulsion that implantation may have not occurred in the right place

Ok, so i am supposed to be 27 weeks and 5 days pregnant, but when i went in for my doctors appointment today i was measuring at 31 weeks. I have had two ultra sounds, one at 8 weeks, and one at 20 weeks, and both went with the same due date. But, when i was only 25 weeks, i was having contractions and had to go to the hospital to stop them with a shot and a pill. Also, i recently started gaining weight very fast! Not anywhere but the stomach though. Before i got pregnant i only weighed 115, and now i have gained 35 lbs, 20 of it within the last month and a half. I have been tested for gestational diabetes and i dont have it. Also my only weight is in my stomach, everywhere else im still the same size except for my boobs. Now, the doctor wants me to get an ultra sound because i am measuring out to be 31 weeks. Does anyone think i could be having my baby earlier than expected. Also i have a family history of having preemies. My dad was born at 33 weeks, and I was born at 34. Even my sister was born at 35 weeks. So what do you think my chances are for having my baby early? And when should i expect her? Oh and also, my last period was in early May.

I am 20 weeks pregnant and just had my first and only ultrasound. The doctor told me the baby was in the 61st percentile. Does this mean a bigger or a small baby?

I stopped taking the pill end of october 2008. I bled for 3 weeks [roughly 20-25th nov]. I have had unprotected sex and tests have come back neg. I went the doctors today and she took a blood sample to get sent off as she thinks i could still be pregnant because i havnt had my period yet. Out of the blue when i got home i come on my period.. Somebody said it could be implantation bleeding but im not sure?? I have to go back thursday to find out test results. Let me break it down so you can understand my story..:) I've known my family (Mon, little brother, and little sister) all my life, I've been with my boyfriend for four years now. Im a 20yr old junior in college and I've been trying to spend quality time with my boyfrend and family during college vacations. So I usually split my breaks up by spending time with my family on the weekdays and spending time with my boyfrind on the weekends. I've been doing this for a while now, but it seems like my mom is beganing to get sick of it. When I'm with him she's like "When are you coming home?" or "What time are you going to be home?" Then I'll answer saying "I'll b home soon" and she always responds saying "Mhhmmmm". Im beganing to get sick of it. It's not like I'm out trying to get pregnant or doing drugs. Im mature and a baby and doing drugs is not what i want out of life.I figured she'd know that. I'm just tryna spend time with my boyfriend, who I see like every 8 weeks because of being away for college. I feel like she's treating me like a child not realizing that I am 20 years old and I shouldn't have to tell her my where abouts. I try to respect her by telling her where I'm headed and when I'll be home in a possitive manner because I don't like being disrespectful. But no matter what, I feel like she has an attitiude when she realizes that I'm spending time with him and not the family. Lately, she's been acting like I don't spend time with my brother and sister and that they are growing up without me. From my understanding, I thought I do spend time with them and that she needs to understand that I am not going to be around everytime I come home from college. Can anyone relate or see where I'm coming from? This is a tough situation. I was suppose to spend this break relaxing and recooperating from a tough semester and trying to prepare myself for the spring semester. Instead, I spent the break worrying about how and when I should spend time with my mom and boyfriend, hoping that I could make them happy. Hi i am between 20-21 weeks pregnant with a little girl. we had our scan last monday and all seemed to be okay. However I only sometimes feel the baby move. Its very random. I maybe feel her once or twice a day at most. I feel a little when I go to sleep and then here and there once in a while. Should I be worried?

I am 23 weeks pregnant and I was told I have a low lying placenta on my 20 week scan. My doctor said it is not a complete previa, but it is a migrating placenta previa. My docotr didn't say anything about sex, or heavy lifting, but I read it should be avoided. I am freaking out, I want to do everything I can to have a healthy baby! I have had sex and nothing happened yet, should I stop it? I have another scan schedulled at 28 weeks, and I really hope i moved up. I am very scared? Anyone has any suggestions for me?

im 21 yrs old and have been dating my boyfriend for 2 years. i ha ve a very irregular period. not sure when i got it last all i remember is that i got it before thanks giving and it came much earlier then it usually does. by maybe a week,. well for a whole month my boyfriend and i ( nov 20-dec 20th) we had no sexual interaction. as the month of december past by i noticed i did not get my period and just hoping that i would get it later i waited but i couldnt anymore. so last sunday i got a home pregnancy test. and clearly said positive. ive heard girls take that home test more then once to make sure. should i do that same? im overwhelmed by fear if i am pregnant. the earliest my docotor can get me in for an ultra sound would be this thursday but for me thats way to long. is (EPT) test a reliable test? should i consider taking more before i keep freaken out of the thought of me being pregnant? not sure what i should do. im in desperate help, please only answer if you know the answer. 0x0 liz ive realized also that i maybe 8 weeks along or less, but if i were pregnant shouldnt i be having symtoms of being pregnant??

That we need more flipping money alotted for food?? We do a budget, but the whole idea of the budget is to reevaluate it every so often, see what needs more and what needs less money. He won't add more into the food. Its been 120 (for 2 weeks) for like 2 years.... Its getting freaking impossible to get EVERYTHING we need (there's four of us, but averages more like six or 7 between him, my younger sister, and me for now, as I'm 32 weeks pregnant). I do all the shopping and cooking, so he doesn't really know exactly how much food has gone up nor how much we use, and since I've been cutting every corner possible he assumes I can keep doing it, but really, I need the fresh fruit, not canned (and canned is in the budget, not fresh!). So, how can I show my dad that just $20 would be a great help in the food budget?? I'm here because my mom and dad wanted me to move back when I told them I was pregnant.
