I babysit my friend's 6 year old boy and 9 year old girl. They are generally very well behaved children but the little boy has a tendency to throw fits. These range from extremely annoying whining over the littlest thing to violent outbursts which include throwing things, kicking people, and screeching/crying. I know his parents both raise them right and there is no kind of abuse in the home. I never yell at them or hit them but I know past baby sitters have done this. So far the only thing that will work with this little boy is to put him alone in the play room with the door closed and wait until the storm is passed. Once he's done with the fit, he can come back out and join others. The thing is, when he really gets going he'll kick, scream, and break things in the room. I am currently 24 weeks pregnant. I want to get this problem under control before my baby comes because I don't want him to hurt the baby during one of these rampages. (He has already kicked my cat once out of anger) His mother wants to find a new way to handle this as well because nothing so far has worked. My period was suppose to be due on December 24 but didn't arrive till January the 1st (1 week delayed) which was only a small light pink blood. Then the next day it was heavy and lasted for 1 and a half days. Then the next couple of days later they were very light, in fact pink in colour and brown. I did a pregnancy test yesterday, but came out negative. Could I still be pregnant?

I've been feeling them when I wake up since about 24 weeks. But as of yesterday I've been feeling them during the day! This morning I was feeling quite sore and crampy, I'm not now but getting BH every few minutes! They don't hurt at all, just wondering if I'm meant to be feeling them this often? On September 24th i had sex, on October 19, and on October 25.. The doctor said im 13 weeks and 3 days, but i don't get is my period did come, but it stopped to days early, my period is always regular 7 days, long every month... My period was on October 6th so when did i get pregnant, September 24 or October 19?

So I can not stand my child father. I am 10 weeks pregnant and all he wants to do is fight and try and make me more miserable. He'll send his new girl friend into where I work at, he will ignore me for days at a time, he only wants to be a part of the babies life if I would give the baby to him the minute it's born. These people that I work with are getting on my nerves. I am 6 months pregnant (24 weeks in a few days). People that I have already told when I am due keep asking me the same question and when I tell them, they say oh, you still have a long way to go. That is the same thing they said when I was 4 months and I did have a long way to go. I dont think that I have a LONG way to go. Am I being sensitive, or do I really have a LONG way to go? Excuse me for being sensitive, I cry at the least thing and I know that a lot of things are bothering me that shouldnt. I was just asking a question!

What should I do? Is this a big deal?

My friend (24) just told me that after her birthday dinner last week, a mutual friend (whom shes known for over 10+ years) told her to go back to his place because she had been drinking while out for her birthday.. he had been drinking too but his place was closer (I had left after 1/2 hour of showing up because I was sick) He invited her back to his apartment to hang out with his other roomates (all who live downstairs so she said they didnt hear anything). She said she kept saying no & tried to push him off & pleaded for him to at least put a condom on but he said "you should be on the pill like all other girls" She left right after & drove home even tho she was drunk (i wish she had called me). I told her this is rape, she said she isnt concerned about that aspect, she just doesnt want to end up pregnant (she had her last period 12/25/08 & this happaned 1/2/09) What can i tell her? he did not 'go' inside of her she said

Ok a little background. My husband and I just started ttc'ing. I had my Mirena taken out on Dec. 17. I started my period on Dec. 20. My OB told me I may start early due to the Mirena removal. I wasn't due to start until Dec. 24 so I started a little early. I believe I O'd on CD13. It is now CD18. My husband and I (TMI ALERT) have noticed the past couple days that my areola's are bigger. And when in the shower, the water hitting my breasts and nipples hurts. This has never happened unless I've been pregnant. I have two other children. I've never planned a pregnancy before and so since both my previous children were oops blessings, I'm not sure how early I can tell this stuff. Is it possible for me to be pregnant already and already having tender breasts and nipples? And the areola's enlarging? I am anxious to test but I know I need to wait a week or so before I do. I'm also really tired lately but that could be from stress. I should point out that my period has NEVER made me have tender breast or breast enlargement. (Much to my chagrin) I'm just about dying to know if it's possible yet. I've heard that tender breasts can start as little as two to three days after conception. Is this true? Thanks in advance for all your help.

I'm 38 weeks pregnant, and my urine recently tested positive for protein. My doctor had be do a 24 hour urine collection for another analysis this past Friday. I called my doctor's office this morning to find out the results, and was told the medical assistant would call me back. When I hadn't heard by lunch time, I had my mom look up my file on her computer (she works for the same company as the hospital, and has access to medical records). My protein was flagged "high" with a score of 183. The "normal" rating is 50-100. Needless to say, I received a voicemail from the medical assistant in the afternoon stating that my protein was "normal". My doctor is not in the office until this Wednesday, so I know that she didn't personally review it. I'm just concerned and confused. Do you think I should print out a copy of the lab results and bring to my appointment on Wednesday? I'm just trying to figure out why she would say it was normal, when it was clearly flagged "high" in bold text? What do you think? I am positive that these were the results of the 24 hour test, and not an earlier test. I was worried about the HIPAA thing as well, but more so about the health of my baby! I don't know what I will do! :(

i've been having contractions every 5-10 minutes for nearly 24 hours now.. Went to L&D and they sent me home after walking around for an hour stuck on 2 cms and 50% effaced. I'm in a horrible amount of pain.. I've tried walking, tylenol, vicoden.. everything. Nothing is helping. Is there anything I can do? My doctor won't induce me until 39 weeks.. I can't live like this for another 10 days. And i don't seem to be dilating past 2 Is it possible to break my own water? Though I'm so huge, I can't even feel my own cervix so I don't see how it'd be possible to do it Help! Sex is not an option is my situation.. odd question.. but would masturbation basically have the same effect? and my ob gave me the vicodin so i'm assuming it's okay. I just hate how it makes me feel

I found out Dec 31 that I was about 4 1/2 weeks pregnant. I had some blood work done a week before Dec 24, my progesterone levels came back at 10. She said it was kinda low so she gave me progesterone suppositories. 3 days after taking them I had some more blood work done to test progesterone and HcG. Today they came back with progest. at 23.9 and HcG 1000 something. The nurse said this was ok... what do you think? But what I am wondering is why she wants me to come in for a sono this week when they orignally had me set up for next week?? are my hcg levels low???

i have suffered with s.p.d since 24 weeks pregnant im now 35 and it has been so bad that i cant walk i thought that was it but now the pain is just soooo unbearable i just want the baby out i cant handle this anymore i have been told to go in 1 weeks early to get an induced date but i just cant go on any longer i cant believe i actually have to deliver a baby with this pain i am so anxious and panicky and scared i can hear my bones now grinding and my hips clicking as i walk i cant get comfy anywhere i go shopping and have to come home because i cant stand the pain i also have a 3 yr old boy who i just cant do anything with because i cant move i hate him seeing me on crutches i just wish i could run around after him and go for walks does anyone else have there pain this severe or anything like this please help iv seen doctors and midwifes and apparently (its just pregnancy it happens alot to alot of women but i don't know anyone who has had it this bad at all !! please give me some advice on how to deal with it and i just cry all the time !! please i just want my life back to normal thanx for all your answers they are a great help i know it seems selfish but to know that other people have had the same pain makes me feel better because i know its normal and dont feels as panicked and as for delivering on my hands and knees i cant lean on my left leg because it sends the pain to the pubic area and my hip. but thanx anyway.

Can someone please give me some more info on this condition? I'm debating on if I want to get a 2nd opinion or not and this is why. I'm 22 years old and I've had some heart issues for about a year now and I went to the cardologist finally back in Aug of 2008 and was supposibly diagnosed with SupraVentricular Tachycardia. That's what he claimed I have after he looked at the results of the 24 hr monitor I had wore. I agreed that I had the condition he said but the more I read about this condition I'm just not sure now if I 100% believe that this is what I have. After being pregnant and giving birth to my son in Aug of 2007 it seems my heart start acting up. Mind you that I had high blood pressure throughout my whole pregnancy, I had to take blood pressure medicine while pregnant then my blood pressure went back to normal after delivering him and I no longer had to take the meds. Anyways....What my heart does is sometimes for weeks at a time my heart will be fine, it will give me no trouble at all then all of a sudden for a few days straight I will have heart palpitations that only lasts for no more than a few seconds, it feels like my heart sorta stops for a split second then flutters real fast for a couple seconds and then that's it, no pain no palpitations lasting for minutes at a time, nothing like that. The reason i'm confused on this condition is because from what it looks like, if you have this condition then your hearts speeds up to 100bpm or more for more than a few seconds, is this correct? It seems like my heart acts up more when i get really full from eating, or when I walk, or when it's really hot outside, and caffeine will sometimes do it and most def stress will cause it to happen. What are all the symptoms of this condition and how serious is it? I'd like to think the Doc is wrong but we'll see. Any info would be appreciated.

I am 24 weeks pregnant and the place I work at just got a new store manager. When the new manager started doing the schedule I was not put on it. I have not asked for my schedule to be changed, the only thing I asked for is not to work Wednesdays because of childbirth classes. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or know what I need to do in order to get my hours back. I do not work full time but I have always been scheduled for at least two days a week for five hours. I have talked to the manager who did the schedule before and he was going to fix it over the weekend but when I checked the schedule today it still isn't fix. I have not met the store manager yet, I work nights and she works days. The only things I can't do is lift the containers full of tea, carry boxes of fries, get ice, or shake mix. I work at a McDonald's and I work the counter/drive thru, so all I really have to do is take orders, make drinks, and hand out the food. I work in Pennsylvania and the only thing I have been able to find is about full time employment. I was hoping someone could tell me where I might be able to find information for part time employment.

*last period was on July 22nd and ended only July 25th *date I ejaculated inside of her (our guessed conceived date) July 30th *Months Pregnant by doctors are 6 months. (24 weeks) *their supposed conceived date is August 5th. Problem here is that we've only been together for 6 months on July 1st. Now its july 5th and that would mean that we got pregant on July 5th a date on which we did not even have sex yet. can somebody please explain how its possible for our baby to be 6 months while we didn't even have sex yet 6 months ago and the supposed conceived date is august 5th. ADDED DETAIL: she has another boyfriend before me but hadn't had sex with him since march, and the reason we didn't have sex sooner was because she had a period while we first started dating. And it was a for sure period, because she was in a hell of a lot of pain and it lasted 5 days with a very heavy flow.

I am in my 22cd week i am having a little girl i am due on may 9th.. i am worried because when i was pregnant with my son around week 18 i developed placental abruption which pushed me into labor at 24.6 weeks with him because i was induced. Now he is healthy he made it threw but has epilepsy what do you think the chances are that i develop placental abruption with this pregnancy to?

I know it depends on the way the baby is laying but... When will i roughly start to feel the baby actually move even just slightly? When will it start to feel like a KICK? When will my Bf be able to feel it with his hand? When will we actually see the movements rather then just feel them? I didn't find out till i was 24 weeks with my first child so even though i have a 3yr old this all seems to be slightly new for me.

I usually get my period every 24_26 days but this time it's 3 days late and i am worried that i might be pregnant!! I had intercourse with my bf about 2 weeks ago but it was protected! I've been with my boyfriend for 6 years on and off, just got back together in May and now i'm 13 weeks pregnant with our second set of twins. About in July we discussed getting married but he said he wasn't ready right now that we needed to wait for a year or so. I want to get married i'm ready to settle down with that forever commitment. Now that i'm pregnant the combination of me being ready to marry and everyone from his parents and cousins to my parents and friends are saying we should get marry, i don't know what to say to them i can't pressure him to marry me, but i want it so bad, after the conversation we had in July i don't want to bring it up. I must also say we've been living together since 12/06 and slit in 01/08 because i felt he should be a little more family oriented. ( i'm ok with being absorb with family 24/7 and he needs to be with his friends ) we got back together in 05/08. He's not too happy with the twins situation and understands they are coming so he will love his kids, but he's a little withdrawn and distant. our relationship is a little off because this is something both of us didn't want at the time, i've gotten over it and i can't wait for my babies, But he is still dealing. I did not ejaculate in her, but i'm afraid that prec*m might have got inside of her. The next day still scarred i went to the pharmacy and go the morning after pill. So she took it about 24 hours later. and took the other one i think 12 hours after the first one, or however labeled on the box. She also has an irregular period. 3 months of being with her with no sex she got her period 1 time. And hasn't gotten it since. So i don't think i can count on the period method. she threw up maybe 3 weeks to 4 weeks later, but after a school breakfast. Today shes complaining about headaches but shes been crying a lot lately because issues with her mom (maybe that's the cause of her headache). Should i be worried? So i don't think i can count on the period method. she threw up maybe 3 weeks to 4 weeks later, but after a school breakfast. Today shes complaining about headaches but shes been crying a lot lately because issues with her mom (maybe that's the cause of her headache). Should i be worried? I have been looking at births and birth stories on you tube and they all look so easy. I mean to what I pictured they look like a breeze.. I would just like some first hand experience, stories, videos what ever. I don't know if people on youtube just edit out the hard stuff, like labour to make the whole birth experience look easy. I know I might seem young and uneducated but I thought birth was all screaming and huge amounts of pain. Maybe all the videos i looked at, the women had epidurals.. Or would they just have a higher pain threshold? When you were in labour and pushing were you screaming? Or calm? As it is my first pregnancy I would like to know what to expect if thats possible. I have had these pains for about 3 Days now. Basically i feel really crampy in my stomach, all the time. normally about 5 or 6 pm they get really painful though, more like a stabbing pain, its not just in one spot though, it started off at the top of my abdomen just below my ribs slightly on the left hand side. and then i got them in the lower right hand side, only once but not as bad. i have gained a waste, i have never had a stomach at all now it is quite large, i am on the pill and am not due for my period for about 2/1/2 weeks, but i have skipped the sugar pills about the last 2 or 3 times, i normally get bad menstrual pains so they said only take the sugar pills every 3 months or so. i don't think i could be pregnant as i have not ever missed a pill, although i did take one late about the 24-11-2008 it was about 13 hrs after i was suppose to take it. Please give me serious answers, i had similar pains about 10 months ago, lasted about 6 months saw the doc and got ultra sounds and basically he said he couldn't see anything wrong. Any suggestions please, should i go back to the doc or not? They are worse then last time, before it was just at about 6pm only lasted about an hour and i had nothing through the day. please advise what you think it could be Thanks for your help.

I thought I had the 24 hour bug, but it's been several days since then and I still feel nauseous at times. Mostly in the evenings. I have irregular periods and I really never know exactly when I'm going to ovulate. I had my period about two weeks ago and I don't think it was even a week later when I started ovulating (at least I think that's what it was). My husband and I had sex after I thought I was done ovulating. We used a condom, and sorry if this is too much info, but as I was putting it on him, I had it turned the wrong way. I obviously noticed, and turned it the right way. I don't know if anything got on it, but it's possible. Also, the next day, I had what looked like ovulation discharge. So I might not have been done ovulating. I've considered that I might be pregnant, because I know even the tiniest bit of sperm can do what it takes. But at the same time, I think it's all in my head. I never had any nauseousness with my first pregnancy, so I'm not sure how it all works. I guess I have more than one question 1. Could the condom flip have gotten me pregnant? 2. Could my nauseousness be because I might be pregnant? 3. How soon does morning sickness start? 4. And when would I be able to take a pregnancy test if I ovulated about a week ago?

I am 31 weeks and 4 days pregnant and last night I noticed my ankles were severly swollen along with some slight swelling in my fingers only noticable when I try to bend them and both symptoms have kept up. I called my OB office as the swelling in my ankles didn't pop back out when I pressed them and talked with the on call OB (of course the only one I hate) and she said to drink water with lemon juice in it and lay down/elevate my legs/feet. My mom then prompted me to take my blood pressure and it was 130/78. Except for one time at a Chiropractor's office my blood pressure has always been under 120 and under 60. Pregnancy is a natural blood pressure lowerer so it has been lower during my pregnancy. I'm only 18 years old, have gained 25 lbs so far during the pregnancy (started gaining at four months) so I have gained that amount in four months. I'm a healthy person and small woman at five feet four inches tall and 111 lbs pre-pregnancy. I haven't done any physical activity since 15 weeks due to Placenta Previa, which then turned into Placenta Abruption at 22 weeks and have been on limited bed rest since 22 weeks. I got a steroid series including two injections at 24 weeks since at that point I could go into pre-term labor at any point. I know Edema (swelling), fluid retention is normal during this point in pregnancy but what about the blood pressure? Experiences, advice, knowledge on anything mentioned? I also want to add I passed my Gestational Diabetes test at 28 weeks.

Ok, so im only six months and im having alot of braxton hicks, everytime I eat i cramp up, and im get very tired and sleepy mostly all day. I thought you got rid of than in your second tri, and the braxton hicks didnt start till your third. Should i be concerned at all? my next apt isnt until the 12. another question is with both of my previous pregnancies my water was broken by the nurses. I would like to experience this naturally. Does it normally happen naturally or most likely they will break it for you?

I'm currently a day care teacher, the infants teacher actually. There's really no chance of advancement at my job. I could be a director or assistant director but that doesn't make much more than I do now. I make about 24,000 a year. But I have the opportunity to take a job as a pharmacy tech with my brother who's a pharmacist. It's more money and they would put me through school to be a pharmacist, and my brother makes about 100,000 a year as a pharmacist. My problem is I love my job. I love that I'll be able to bring my baby to work and she'll be with me all day. I honestly have no idea where she'd go while I worked if I had a different job. But then again I could provide much better for her if I took the other job. Opinions please! What would you do?

I had sent a question in last week wondering if i could be pregnant. My husband and i had unprotected sex on 12/18. that eve i started my period (lighter than usual and it was already late) . We tried again on 12/22 and 12/24. On 12/27 i had cramping in my left ovary. On the 28th I started to spot and this lasted for about 5 days on and off. Only two days there was actual dark red blood. I took a test today and it is neg., but is it too early to tell since my last cycle was irregular? How do you tell when you are ovulating if your cycles tend to be irregular half the time?? Sorry a lot of info, but I'm getting fed up. Just want a baby...

hi all this is my second baby and i feel like i will have this baby before my due date. i am showing really big for 24 weeks the baby kicks and i can see my belly move and the baby moves alot and its really stong kicks and movement. i no no1 can say yes ull have this baby before my due date just wondered if any1 else felt like this and did they go full term xx thanks for reading

I've just gotten around 12-13 guppies a few weeks ago. I've just installed a heater in the fish tank yesterday afternoon, adjusted to 22 degrees. At night, I turned the heater higher, to almost 28 degrees by accident. I meant to tune it up to 24-26 degrees. I realized that my fishes aren't as active as usual. This morning, all the fishes just laid at the bottom of the fish tank. Usually, they will swim around the tank. Whenever I give them food, they'll swim upwards immediately. However, this morning when my dad fed them food, they didn't swim upwards. They just stayed at the bottom, swimming around occasionally. After my dad adjusted the temperature of the tank to 22 degrees again, the fishes started swimming at the top again. However, they don't eat any of the food. What's wrong with the fishes? After that, my dad realized the pregnant female fish had given birth and that many of the baby guppies are at the bottom of the fish tank, lying on the sand. I've scooped them out into a separate container. What do I do now? The fishes still aren't acting normal. They don't eat. How do I get them to be active again?

I m 24 weeks pregnant and I m getting blemishes on my nose and cheeks. I hav calamine lotion ? has anyone used it? I hav dry skin any suggestions? the answers I got r not helping me any way . can anyone help me who knows what m I asking. ?thanks

I am 22 weeks pregnant. My doctor asked me to count how often baby moves during 24 hours, and also mentioned that it should be between 8-10 times a day. I dont feel baby moving that much. Mostly 2 times and sometimes whole day no movement. Should I be concerned? I will ask my doctor on jan 13th when I meet her next but I thought to check may be someone can help me here. Thanks for taking the time to answer.
