I always thought that you shouldnt buy baby stuff until you hit 3 months pregnant (12 weeks) because of the high miscarriage rate until then. My mom is telling me not to buy anything until after 5 months. I am very anxious to buy baby stuff once i hit the 3 month mark (3 weeks to go) but also want to make my mom happy and wait till i hit the 5 month mark (not sure if i could wait that long)..asked this b4 and only responses i got were to buy the stuff and not let her know for 2 more months but that isnt possible since i live in her home. im 24 1/2 btw

I have always had irregular cycles. I would have it for 2 or 3 months on time then it would disappear for months. My periods are always heavy and filled with clots. In August of 2008 I be gain a period that lasted for five months ending in Dec.2008(dx PCOS). I was put on the pill to stop the bleeding. I was on BC pills for about 7months I stopped them in June 09 at the end of my last pack. Before BCP I never had regular cycles .I had 5 normal periods 30-35 day cycles. My last AF was Nov. 24.2009 I had sex Dec.7th (no sex since then, the sex was protected(condom) and he did not ejaculate in me). I had 3 negative urine test. One ept digital and two urine test done by Planned Parenthood. But have not received my period due to the fact that I have irregular cycles I decided to have a blood test done. I don't have insurance so I just went to Lab corp. and had the test done... from what I understand I am not pregnant these are the results. 1 <miu/ml the results said that a non pregnant female can have 0-5 hcg ml in the blood stream. *This test was taking Feb. 24 about 14 weeks after last sexual activity (Dec.7. ) Can PCOS or anything else effect the results of a blood test at that point? *Should I be concerned about this I had a heavy petting( no ejecualtion that either of us could tell) incident in July27 2009(day 7 of a 30 day cycle) had four AFs after that

Here's the deal....i had sex with my Ex boyfriend on December 20th and 26th..we broke up and i had sex with my guy friend on the 29th of December. after having sex with my guy friend on the 29th i took the Next choice emergency contraceptive pill about 9 hours after sex. That day i felt some cramping so i took an clear blue digital ovulation test and it had a smiley face. here i am 13 weeks and 1 day pregnant and according to my last menstrual cycle and gyno my conception date was December 28th. I know if the morning after pill is takin up to 24 hours after sex its 95% effective. Both guys know im pregnant and im really hoping its my Ex's which now is my boyfriend again. I was supposed to have my period about a week and a half ago. I 'started' it, but then less than 24 hours later it was over. I used a few tampons, but only one was really 'used' (and not that much, like it was in and out in a way). The others were for just in case it 'started up' again and i didn't know about it. this happens about 3 times a year or so, maybe as many as 4 times. This only started after i had sex for the first time, and then it was 'wonky' for nearly a year, and that was 3 years ago almost. When i got here, i was tested for STD's and pregnancy. Wasn't pregnant (i knew i wasn't), but i had an STD that was easily cleared up with a week's worth of antibiotics. Is this something i should make 'my' doctor/nurse aware of? Before i had sex for the first time, i missed my period only twice, and those times were about a year apart. I'm not really paying for the doctor. I'm here at Job Corps, and it's 'free', but tax dollars are paying for him/her....something like that

im 37 weeks and 1 day pregnant. i went to the doctor on tuesday for a checkup and she told me that my blood pressure was high, i had protein in my urine, and im really swollen. which are all signs of preeclampsia. my baby is breech so they already scheduled me for a c-section on the 31st, but now since i had all these signs of possible preeclampsia, the doctor had me take home a jug, and a urine catcher (tmi sorry) and told me for 24 hours collect all of my urine in this jug and keep it cold to bring back to them in the morning. they also took my blood tuesday, and they are going to take it again tomorrow morning when i go back. so my mother in law bought me a blood pressure monitor for me to use at the house but i have no clue what is high or what is low? my blood pressure right now is 133/83 does anyone know if that's still high or low, or what it is?? thanks.

I just found out last week that I am pregnant with twins and I am 25 weeks today. I was wondering if it is normal for the dr. to wait so long to do my first ultrasound. I have been receiving prenatal care since 8 weeks preggo and have asked him many times when I could get an ultrasound. Now he is sending me to a specialist in a week. I am kinda nervous because throughout the pregnancy he was always telling me that I was gaining too much weight and not to eat so much, but do you think that by me cutting back, the babies will be smaller than they are supposed to be?

I'm 34 weeks (but measuring 38, and the baby is 10 days "bigger" than they think she should be on ultrasound). In the past two weeks I've noticed my daughter has gone from moving very little to moving almost all the time. Yesterday my breasts started leaking a lot, I've been having colostrum come out since I was 4 months pregnant, but yesterday it was making wet spots on my shirt the size of soft balls. I've also had a lot more vaginal discharge. Since the baby is measuring bigger and all these other things are happening (plus I've had a lot more Braxton Hicks in the past week) I was wondering if that could mean labor would be coming sooner. Originally I was due April 18th according to my last period, but the baby was measuring a week smaller than that at my first ultrasound so they moved my due date back to the 24th of April. If I were to go off of my last period then I would be 35 weeks pregnant instead of 34. Any ideas? I'm not saying I want her to come now, I want her to wait at least three more weeks just so she's full term. I'm 24 years old. NEVER had unprotected sex before but I'm freaking out about the possibility of being pregnant. My last period was feb 15-22 2010. It's always been a little irregular, which is super annoying. I thought it should be coming soon but it hasn't come yet and its really scaring me. The past couple days and even last week I was having stomach cramps and back pains on and off. last week I also had a lot of clear discharge. ovulation? my bf keeps telling me Im fine and just need to relax. but i'm just terrified! Also I had a uti about 2 weeks ago and was on antibiotics for about a week. could that cause it to not come? or delay it? I do think its coming soon though because of the cramps, my face has been breaking out a little bit and sore breasts and nipples. no morning sickness, no throwing up, no head ahces or dizziness... i do cry a lot but thats just because Im so damn scared

Hello. I am 24 yrs old, and have been married for 2 1/2 yrs. For the past week or so, I have had pregnancy symptoms: spotting, sore breasts, mild cramps, and tiredness. I took a pregnancy test this morning, and it was negative. But then this evening, my vagina started aching..this is not something I have ever experienced before. Could it be a pregnancy sign? I tried looking this up online, but nothing really helped. If I am pregnant, why would the test be negative? I was expecting my period to come today.

When they say "cramping" what exactly do they mean. I often get cramps that you might feel after working out....the sharp pain in one spot after walking for just a little bit at work. As soon as I sit down, they go away...just like a workout pain. When the Dr's ask if I have cramping....do I say yes or are the cramps they refer to more Labor like pain (I am on my 3rd child so I know what labor feels like)

I have been taken hcg oral drops for about a week now 3 days before my perdio was to come i was due for my perdio and it going on two weeks that it is late i took two pregnancy test and it came back positive i've done my Research on google and read that hcg can cause your test to be false is this true or could i really be pregnant i have not missed a perdio in the last two years this would be a first as well as this would be my first child and pregnancy i was told that i had pcos when i was 20 years old when i was very at my heaviest Weight 230 im down to 140 and have never had any of the changes the pcos only in my past weight but was able to bring it down and keep it down im now 24 year old i cant find anymore info on hcg to be helpful so if any one know more please feel free to tell me thank you very much one more thing i do have very sore boobies and my back is killing me

my doctor put me on provera to start my period in December so i don't know if i have 28 day cycles but i had my period December 13th or 14th and i went to the doctor today and she said based on my sonogram and LMP im 13 weeks and 1 day today. she said the sonogram was very accurate. so around what date could i have conceived? i had sex on with my ex boyfriend December 20th & 26th and my guy friend on the 29th but i took the morning after pill right after sex with guy friend. Ive done alot of research on the Morning after pill(plan B) and its 95% effective when takin in the first 24 hours and i took it about 9 hours after sex but if your already pregnant from previous sex it wont work. I also took an ovulation test on the 29th and there was a smiley face so i was ovulating. if im 13 weeks that puts my conception date on the 28th of December..So do you think its more likely my Ex boyfriends or my guy friends? I had a scan at 20 wks and it showed a low lying placenta and had another one at 24 weeks and it's still low. My baby is also very active and can't stand still during the scans-my uterus hasn't stretched much as people can hardly tell I'm pregnant. Do you think my low placenta is due to the fat that my belly isn't big yet and why is my baby so active? I've been eating well and taking my vitamins, but no bump, Help

Hello, So i know this question gets asked a lot but i really don't know what else to do. So i guess i should start at the beginning my periods have always been really normal i usually get my period 29-31 days apart. My last period was feb. 9th. I am now late by almost a week. the reason i am asking is because i honestly am having all the normal symptoms of pregnancy i am 24 and have a 3 year old son i honestly feel like i am pregnant and feel exactly like i did before. Ive taken 3 at home pregnancy tests and all have come up negative. I guess what im trying to say is that is 1). how often is at-home pregnancy tests wrong and 2). If i was pregnant how soon would it show if the last time i had sex was feb 12th, 13th, 14th, and 17th? I know i really should go see a dr. but i guess i just want to know for sure.

Hi, I had a miscarriage with my 1st pregnancy at the end of february and bled from 24 - 27. Before falling pregnant i was getting my period regulary on the 17th of each month. I'm just wondering when i will get my next period. I am hoping to get pregnant again and for the last 5 days i have been feeling on and off nausious and also on and off of feeling hot. Also yesterday i started getting lower abdominal cramps which are quite faint now. I ovulated about 1 week ago and noticed that i had a tiny egg white string which had a tiny bit of blood in it which only lasted one wipe and went away. Any ideas? i would like to add that when i miscarried i was only 4-6wks

I found out i was pregnant at 19 weeks. I wasn't quite sure what to do so i didn't stop smoking right away. I've got PTSD and hints of Bi-polar as well as sleeping problems and instead of taking meds I smoke pot(Its not just for fun). I would like to know how long it stays in the placenta and fetus. I want the best for my baby and I would be hurt so much if I lost him. I weaned my self and stopped all together at 24 weeks. Some say its too late and i'll be loosing my child and others say it everything will be fine. I'm so worried and stressed about it. I'm worried that my baby will be born early, they find THC, and i loose my first child. I know the info on-line isn't always right so i'm asking my fellow people to share their insight with me. I'd talk to my doc but i'm just so paranoied about it. I know that the THC won't hurt my baby because me and all my siblings are proof of that, but if i lost my little one i'd be so upset. Just thinking about it makes me sick...Please share your insight and don't try to bring me down, just be honest.

So, my husband and I have been married for 3 years and we have a one year old daughter. We liked to party a lot before I got pregnant, but after I got pregnant he continued to party. I had a horrible emergency c-section and 1 week later he told me he was working late, but he was actually out partying and left me home for 24 hours. He has stolen money that I had saved up for our daughter. He pawned my jewlry and he stole my credit card many, many times. Since our daughter was born he hasn't helped with anything, keeping up with bills, keeping up with the baby schedule, keeping up with money, much less shopping for the household. He didn't do anything unless I asked him to several times. I gave him money to go pay his insurance, next month rolls around, he never paid it.. Same thing happened with the trash bill. I couldn't keep cash in the house cause he's steal it, it got to a point that I had to hide my credit cards at night because I didn't know if I was going to wake up and he was gone or not. So, I eventually broke down one night and called the police. He had stolen my credit card yet again and was at the bar... The police said there was nothing I could do, that he technically didn't break the law b/c in the state of GA when two people are married all their property is equal. They asked him to leave for the night. Next day he comes back and packs his stuff and leaves. He's been moved out for 8 weeks and now I have to move my daughter and myself into one small room at my parents. He hasn't given me hardly any money at all. What should I do? I know I want a divorce, but I don't know exactly what way I can pursue this. Oh, I forgot to mention that I am in school full-time. Isn't this abuse? Couldn't I possibly pursue it that way? So, all the debt he has in crewed I'm totally responsible? In what way is that fair? He mentally abused me, made me think I was crazy. I'm so depressed and distraught. I can hardly think straight.

okay, so today is monday. saturday, me and my boyfriend were hanging out, we already thought i was pregnant but didn't have a legit answer. but i had all the symptoms, morning sickness, tender breasts, and my stomach was harder than normal. so we were doing it, and he .... in me, about 3-4 times. well, when i took a test later that day it came back negative. so now, we have to wait a few more weeks and take another test. my stomach is already feeling weird, like ... not hard, but not normal, and the only way i can think of explaining it is - when you get "butterflies" - it feels like i have them, 24/7. is this something not related at all? or could something be saying i'm pregnant? i'm real confused and just need some advice more than anything.

i'm a white 25 yr old who will be 24 weeks pregnant when i get married, normal dresses dont fit, and maternity wedding dresses dont do it for me! i was thinking a sari in plain western fabric in a champagne colour, what do you reckon? i checked out the site you suggested, i've tried loads of dresses like this but i have huge ribcage and nothing on an empire line fits!

Can anyone relate? Just wanted to know what others treatments were, and if you went on to have other successful pregnancies without complications. Also wondering what rhogam shots are like, where you got them, and how often? Was your baby positive or negative at birth? And what happens after birth?

I am now about a week late on my period and I am never late I didn't even realize I was until it was already a few days past so I can't imagine it being because I'm stressed because i haven't been at all. Usually my chest starts to hurt a week before my period and that has yet to happen also I have been feeling really weird lately kind of dragging and now today iI started to get cramps not bad one but they are there. I am still not having any signs of bleeding and usually I will spot for several hours before I start my period. I am 24 and I've never been pregnant so I'm not sure what to expect. I did take a PT and it came out neg but friends have told me to take another one in a week and in the morning for best results. Has anyone had this issue or dealt with these symptoms and if so how did it turn out?

my doctor put me on provera to start my period in December so i don't know if i have 28 day cycles but i had my period December 13th or 14th and i went to the doctor today and she said based on my sonogram and LMP im 13 weeks today. she said the sonogram was very accurate. so around what date could i have conceived? i had sex on with my ex boyfriend December 20th & 26th and my guy friend on the 29th but i took the morning after pill right after sex with guy friend. Ive done alot of research on the Morning after pill(plan B) and its 95% effective when takin in the first 24 hours and i took it about 9 hours after sex but if your already pregnant it wont work. I also took an ovulation test on the 29th and there was a smiley face so i was ovulating. So do you think its more likely my Ex boyfriends or my guy friends? Thank You!

5' tall, 24 weeks pregnant with a baby girl, on the chubby side

I tested postive at six weeks pregnant with a pregnanct test and blood test. My Doctor gave me a due date of October 1st 2010 which would make me just under 11 weeks pregnant. I had spotting this past weekend which started as brown discharge then turned into light bleeding..no clots..no ramping etc. The ER doctor said my cervix was closed and not to worry. But it continued throughout the weekend. They bumped my Ultrasound up from the 24th of march to today and the results showed that I was indeed pregnant but that I was no where near as far as I we thought I was. Is it possible that I miscarried and got pregnant again without knowing or is it possible I miscarried a twin? Please help! My ultrasound technician couldn't tell me much and my doctors office is closed till wednesday!! The Ultrasound technician wouldn't tell me anything ..not even how far I was measuring right now. He told me if i were 11 weeks pregnant they would see arms and legs etc.. it was still a sac..and looked nothing like the beginning stages of a baby.

My last period started on Feb. 11 with a little spotting for 2 days, slightly heavier on Feb. 13 and full force on Feb. 14. We had plenty of unprotected sex during the month, especially around the time when ovulation should occur (although ovulation tests from earlypregnancytest.com did not show a dark positive for ovulation). My cycle history is: June 2009... ended birth control (nuvaring) July 13 CD1 (24 days) Aug 5 CD1 (27 days) Aug 31 (28 days) Oct 22 (26 days) Nov 19 (29 days) December - extreme high stress month where I spotted/had period for about 2 weeks straight, but truly started period on Dec 22. (34 days (but spotting had started Dec 12) Jan 18 (28 days) Feb 11 (25 days) March (33 days & counting) Now, it is March 15 (33 days). On Friday (day 30) I had lots of cramping in the abdominal area. There was a bit more cramping Sat, and less today and yesterday. Queeziness, yes, but just a little. Sore breasts? no. Pregnancy tests... all have been negative (I have taken 5). I have also had to pee quite a bit. Headaches? yes, but I have also been attempting to cut down on the caffeine. I think I saw a slight spotting last night (like 1 drop) but have not had any more since. Do I still have a chance of being pregnant, even with all these negative tests (including this morning)? I go to my general doctor in one more week, and if I haven't had my period will get a blood test.

So I asked my boyfriend why he didn't want to get married "anytime soon." He said, " I don't know, it's just not my thing." I kid you not, before I got pregnant, he wanted to get married. He's 24 and I'm 22. We've been together for 4 years. I'm not trying to rush him or anything, but after I pop out our first, he wants to have more, which I don't want to until I know he will be there forever. After he says that about getting married he asks if I want to have sex, mind you I'm almost 40 weeks pregnant. I'm just so frustrated with him right now. Just for the record, the baby was unplanned, I was on BC, it failed.

I am currently 7 months pregnant (I'm 24 years old). My husband has been gone for 5 months as a private contractor in Afghanistan. He returns next week. I know he will want to be intimate, but I'm scared because I've never tried to do it pregnant.....and since we haven't been doing it all along during my pregnancy, its like going from 0 to 60 in one go. I'm really nervous about this. What is comfortable? What can actually feel really good even with a big tummy? Sorry to ask you all to girl talk in relatively public, but I dont know who else to ask
