When I got pregnant I was only 10 pounds overweight. Theyh also said some studies may indicate that Pre-eclampsia is related to poor nutrition. I ended up getting pre-eclampsia at 25 weeks and having my daughter 3 months early. Well at the time I was diagnosed, the months prior to that I was at a job (they knew I was pregnant)that wouldn't allow me to eat during the day execpt at lunch so during the week which is where I believe a lack of nutrition came from. I read in many books and magazines that when you are pregnant not to let yourself get hungary. Well by lunch I was so hungary I had a stomach ache. Is it right for me to feel that some of the nutritional lack that mya have caused this that it's partially my employers fault for not allowing me a few minutes for a quick snack?

Ok so I am now 27 weeks pregnant. I just started the third trimester. I have only had 1 ultrasound which was at 7 weeks. From my impression you are suppose to get an ultrasound each trimester to check development. My doctor told me I would get my next one around 25 weeks and when I went in for my December appt he never scheduled me one. So yesterday when I went in for this months check up I had to ask him about it and he said that they normally don't do ultrasounds. Does that sound a little off? From everything I've read and friends that went through this they had one each trimester accept for one she had more since she was more high risk. I mean aren't they suppose to be checking to make sure the baby is developing properly? I am thinking he forgot about it and made an excuse to why he hasn't scheduled one because when I mentioned it he said they don't do them, but I can have one if I want it.

My girlfriend is 23 weeks pregnant with twins, and has recently dropped from working 44 hours to 32 hours. (At least she requested 32, but employer is only giving her 25, they are now considering her part time.) She received 40 hours of sick time on the first of the year. But now her employer is saying that they are going to take that time away, and she cannot use it. If it shows in her pay stub that she has the time, shouldn't she be allowed to use it? Can they really just take it away?? We aren't sure of all of the Connecticut Laws, but it just seems like she is being discriminated against big time here. Please help us!! They did not "demote" her to part time yet, they are being laxadasial with thier paperwork. there for she is still in the system as a full time employee

Ok, so its a long story but the short version is that my moms side of the family are all users and abusers. we only EVER hear from them when they want something thou wen my mom desperately needed help years ago, she was pregnant and really sick and couldn't work etc all her family had mysteriously disappeared. Now they think we have it made or whatever and only call when they want money or clothes or a hook up to a job...At one time My aunt and uncle who i hate actually treated my mom like a slave. Cooking and cleaning most of the day while they sat on their asses. The recently lost their business and were asking my mom for help and sucking up to us lol...Last week my aunt who has 3 children over the age of 20 and 1 teen and a working husband asked for $500, no given reason just that she is "short" blah blah. She works also and she is constantly bailing out her eldest daughter because her and her husband are spendaholics and her son who is over 25 still acts like he's 17 and needs money for everything. Right at this moment my mom's cousin is staying with us on our couch because shes looking for a job, my mom had found her one but she got fired and its probably because she is on the phone 20hrs a day (Shes 42years old with 5 kids and a hubby) Its just her here. Something happened YEARS ago and now i think my mom is trying to prove herself to everyone. She doesn't ask the family for help rarely. And she gives money to her parent who are on retirement every week. Shes the only one out of 8 children to give them $$. That doesnt matter because my grandparents are there and they're the g-parents. Me, my sis and brother are all in college at the moment and parent pay my interest off so that when i finish and start working it won't b overwhelming or watever only because my bro and sis don't hav to pay till they finish their course and its interest free loans. So my moms WHOLE family close and extended only vist or call because the need this and that. my moms cousin a couple of months ago who she has never talked to or met in her life called up and asked her to buy all this stuff for her daughters wedding...a wedding my mom wasn't even invited to...How rude is that?!!! I can't stand my family seriously they are all annoying and we would be better off without them. There are so much other stuff like how just recently my other aunt asked my mom to pay her daughters $17000 school tuition even though mom has three college kids of her own to look out for and a little one who needs to start a college fund. On September 24th i had sex, on October 19, and on October 25.. The doctor said im 13 weeks and 3 days, but i don't get is my period did come, but it stopped to days early, my period is always regular 7 days, long every month... My period was on October 6th so when did i get pregnant, September 24 or October 19?

Is a weight gain of 15 lbs normal at 20 weeks pregnant (with one baby)? This is my first baby, so I don't have anything to compare to. I know books say if your BMI is normal (which mine was) then you should gain 25-35 lbs your whole pregnancy. So have I gained too much by this point, or am I ok?

My friend (24) just told me that after her birthday dinner last week, a mutual friend (whom shes known for over 10+ years) told her to go back to his place because she had been drinking while out for her birthday.. he had been drinking too but his place was closer (I had left after 1/2 hour of showing up because I was sick) He invited her back to his apartment to hang out with his other roomates (all who live downstairs so she said they didnt hear anything). im 7 mo pregnant, and i work as a nanny. im not 18 yet, i will be next month. i have been a nanny for about 4 mo. my stomach muscles have separated and it hurts to lift things over 15-20 lbs i baby sit 3 kids, a 4 year old a 6 year old and a 5 month old. i only get paid 400$ a month.. that's 2 $ an hour, 50 hours a week, mon-fri 200 hrs a mo. the let me drive their extra car but i don't get to keep it if i quit. the thing is that my boyfriend and i live about 25 miles away from where we both work, he works down the street from where i work and we drive together every morning. he doesn't have his own car either. the only reason i have stayed working here so long is for the car. i know they are taking advantage of me but i would feel guilty for quitting because my boyfriend would have to quit his job too. we live at my parents house and he could find a job down there but not one as good as the one he has now. do you think i should quit my job and make my boyfriend find a new one by where we live? i want to try and find like a barista job, or a job at babys-r-us near my parents house. ALSO: my parents bought me a car last year but took it back because my step dad needed it, and then my mom promised me 1000$ for a car and then backedout because she needed the money for bills, so thats why i havent saved for a car or got a better paying job so far, because i was counting on what they promised me. please help any good advice helps! if i wasit for my boyfriend to get another job he wont take me seriously and will just screw off till i quit mine. Hubby and I weren't really trying but if it happens, it happens; we're well equipped to handle it. My cycle is between 25-32 days, (though usually between 28-30, anything after that only happens occasionally) and today is day 29 and I haven't started yet. I do have that wet feeling down there like I'm about to, and I've had mild cramps but nothing major. I also can't explain it but something just seems different. I'd like to test by Friday if I don't start by then, but would this be too early? If I was pregnant I'd be 4w4d by then.

I have had endometriosis for 7 years and been on Lupron for 5 years consistently. The Lupron started at 11.25 mg, moved up to 22.5 mg, and now I am on 33.75 mg. Within the last 8 months I stop taking the add back (which I started taking again 2 days ago) norethindrone (a birth control). In the last week or so I have been nauseous and am concerned I am pregnant. Is this possible? I haven't had a period in 5 years, doesn't that mean I can't get pregnant? And if i do try to take a home pregnancy test, will it come out correctly since I don't have a time line (ie missed period) to judge when to take it?

My friend has lost two babies in the past year. Her 1st was 25 weeks premature, the 2nd was 22 weeks premature. With her 1st she would often go out drinking. I tried to talk her out of it but she kept shoving me off. Saying just because i was so pathetic about been pregnant doesn't mean she should be. Within month of losing her 1st she was pregnant again..still drinking lots. I thought after her loss she would be more careful and when i tried to talk to her again we ended up in a big row.. she said that i was been uptight and that i thought i was better than her. That's when i said (regrettably) that it would be her fault if anything was to go wrong again. I know it was a horrible thing to say but it was in a heated row and i hated the fact she seemed to not care! A few days later she lost her 2nd. She now hates me, she will not talk to me but i feel like i was trying to look out for her. It was probably nothing to do with her drinking that caused the deaths but it seemed silly to me risking something like that. Should i feel so guilty? Or do you think i was right in trying to help? I need honest answers x

I'm 36 weeks pregnant with a high risk pregnancy. They've stopped labor 3 times already and given me steroid shots to hasten her lung development. I had been having contractions every 10 minutes for 2 months straight before they changed to every 5-7 minutes about 2 weeks ago. The docs think that that is just my baseline now and other than monitoriing me a little more closely (twice weekly instead of once), they are not that concrened. Now, what has me so concerned is today I went to the bathroom and had bloody urine. It didn't freak me out too awfully bad because I had that often with my son due to having a constant UTI that didn't respond to antibiotics. However, I still called L&D because if it is a UTI I know I need to be started on antibiotics. While talking to the floor nurse giving her my info she asked me if I had had any abdominal trauma today, which my son overheard and piped up saying that I had slammed the breaks on the car to prevent getting sideswiped. I had completely forgotten about that. We were on our way home from getting dinner, driving through my subdivision (25 mph limit) when a pickup truck blew the ONLY stop sign doing atleast 50. I was just entering the intersection when he came barrelling through and therefore I slammed the breaks to prevent beign hit. My seatbelt did "lock" but I didn't jerk forward and didn't feel any pain because of the slow speed I was doing. It was when I got home after that (about 5 minutes later) that I first noticed blood in my urine. The nurse asked the doc on call and they said to put on a pad wait an hour and if I was still bleeding. the baby stopped moving or my water broke to come back in. Their answer kinda ticked me off because I specifically told them that the blood was only in my urine, I was not actually bleeding from down there. Anyways, I had bloody urine for the next 4-5 times I went and now nothing. No blood, crystal clear urine. Which makes me wonder if maybe instead of a UTI, it had something to do with the seatbelt. Should I call L&D back and talk to them? Should I just relax and wait until my regular appointment on Wednesday morning and ask my doc or should I do something else? If it was just me I'd not be worried, but I don't want anything to be wrong with my baby girl To Ash. I understand where you are coming from with your comment, but the baby is fine ( or was at my last check up) the medical issues, with the exception of today's worries have all been due to a medical problem with ME, not my daughter. I have an incompetant cervix, uterine prolapse, PCOS and a few other issues that are making this a difficult pregnancy for me. All except for the PCOS were not diagnosed until after I found out I was pregnant. As of my last appointment the only "risk" to the baby was preterm labor, which I also had with my son, but I've already carried my daughter longer than I did with him and all tests have stated that she is completely healthy and developed. The only concern I have now is if the seatbelt somehow did something to hurt me that could possibly hurt her.

Ok, so i am supposed to be 27 weeks and 5 days pregnant, but when i went in for my doctors appointment today i was measuring at 31 weeks. I have had two ultra sounds, one at 8 weeks, and one at 20 weeks, and both went with the same due date. But, when i was only 25 weeks, i was having contractions and had to go to the hospital to stop them with a shot and a pill. Also, i recently started gaining weight very fast! Not anywhere but the stomach though. Before i got pregnant i only weighed 115, and now i have gained 35 lbs, 20 of it within the last month and a half. I have been tested for gestational diabetes and i dont have it. Also my only weight is in my stomach, everywhere else im still the same size except for my boobs. Now, the doctor wants me to get an ultra sound because i am measuring out to be 31 weeks. Does anyone think i could be having my baby earlier than expected. Also i have a family history of having preemies. My dad was born at 33 weeks, and I was born at 34. Even my sister was born at 35 weeks. So what do you think my chances are for having my baby early? And when should i expect her? Oh and also, my last period was in early May.

I was 107 when I started (I'm 5'3). Now I'm 29 weeks pregnant and weighted 128 today, 123 two weeks ago (with clothes and shoes off course). The thing is that the only weight I see is on my baby bump because everything else looks even skinnier than before. I was a size 25 jeans before and they still fit. I've always been skinny but I used to have something, at least skin to grab on my sides, now there's nothing. So can all that weight be from my baby? My boobs and butt haven't grown, maybe boobs just half a size. Is my baby going to be huge?

I had sex 2 days after my period stopped. My partner used the pull-out method. I took plan b within 72 hrs, as prescribed by my doctor. I have pretty regular periods, and usually ovulate 2 weeks after my period. I am 25 years old and have a cycle about every 34-36 days. After taking plan b, I got my period 5 days later. I haven't gotten a period since then, but it's only been 23 days since that cycle began. I am just very nervous I am pregnant. I don't have any signs of pregnancy, just that I am very bloated. Is there a chance I could be, even though he pulled out and I probably wasn't even ovulating? Please give me some sanity about this! Thanks!

I've had many problems with my roommates...I live with a 48 year old and her 2 daughters, ages 19 and 25. A third daughter is overseas in the military, bless her. The daughter oversees has a 2 year old son, so when she deployed, the 25 year old came to live with us in her place, as she also has a 2 year old son and her husband is also deployed. The 25 year old was to help watch both kids so her mother could go back to working evenings/nights, where she makes the most money. We rent a townhome, and it has a driveway that can fit 2 cars, although one car blocks the sidewalk (illegal in our neighbourhood), and sometimes sticks out in the street. The 48 year old convinced me upon move in that she and her daughter needed the driveway because of the baby. We have limited parking spaces on the actual street the townhome is on; if those are full, we have to park along the cross street, which isn't a far walk and a safe neighbourhood. I didn't mind, I understand. Well, the other day they asked my boyfriend to move his car from a parking space on our street. He helps contribute to the house financially, although doesn't officially live there. He also only stays over a couple nights a week, 3 max, but usually 2. He still splits utilities and gives some rent money. She told him "someone should speak to you about manners; you should move your car so my pregnant daughter can have the space, you can park along the curb." Oh yeah, the 25 year old is also 6 weeks pregnant. What tee'd me off about that comment was, why doesn't the 48 year old give up the driveway? She insists on parking in it even though she no longer has to take the kids anywhere in her car! I'd think she should give up the driveway; I know she gets home late, but I do too, and I still walk from the cross street when I have to. Additionally, I had thought the whole reason she needed the driveway was for the kid, to make it easier. If I would have known it was simply because she didn't want to walk from the street, I would have suggested a rotating system for being able to park in the driveway. We are all healthy adults. I don't know if I should say anything to her about this. Luckily, she hasn't asked me to move my car, perhaps because knows I won't move it. But I don't appreciate her telling my boyfriend, rather harshly, that he doesn't have manners because he didn't give up his space for her daughter, and that he should have to get out and move his car whenever he visits. Worse off, she mentioned this stuff to him at the bar she works at (I work there too part time, he goes there regularly), in front of all our collegues and his friends. I do understand the 25 year old has 2 toddlers, and is pregnant, and she should get the space. I just don't think it should be expected that we move our cars if we happen to be lucky enough to get a space, when the 48 year old is perfectly healthy and has no reason at all to park in the driveway anymore. Naomi...Sorry, it is a long question because the situation is complicated. Originally, it was myself, the 48 year old, and her two daughters, ages 19 and 22, and the now 2 year old baby. When the 22 year old got deployed, the 25 year old moved in to take her place for a year since her husband was also being deployed with a separate unit from the other daughter. She brought along her own 2 year old son (actually, only a month apart in age from the other baby.) She is also in early stages of pregnancy. When we moved in, the 48 year old convinced me that she and the 22 year old daughter needed the space because of the baby. So the count is 2 toddlers, 1 pregnant daughter.

now i'm about 25 weeks pregnant and i constantly get heavy gas. my stomach area is already really tight and the extra pressure causes some pain. can i take gas-x or any type of gas relief meds? and if so will they work? i could go for some prunes. i've never had prune juice though. i have a doctors appointment tomorrow but i was gonna see if i could take some gas-x now, but im just gonna wait. i've been dealing with it for the past couple weeks one more night wont be so bad.

My husband and i are ready for number two. I did the ovulation test and it said the 22-25 of dec were my days. So my period is supposed to start on the 8th. I took a test yesterday and it was neg. Ok, I work 10 hour shifts Tues-Fri 8 hour shift on Sat. By the time I leave work at night I am pooped! Sometimes my back hurts so bad that I waddle out the door. I havent talked to my boss yet about cutting my hours only because Im waiting for my breaking point, I figure my body and my baby will let me know when I need to slow down. Now my major question is... How do I know what is legal in my situation when I go to request an hour cut. Considering Im putting in around 50 hours a week already. Could she fire me for needing the time to rest and go through my pregnancy safely? Also... What is safe? Because Im a hairstylist Im already used to standing on my feet all day(no problem) But how do I know if Im over doing it? What are the rules? Thank you sooo much! :)

I am 31 weeks and 4 days pregnant and last night I noticed my ankles were severly swollen along with some slight swelling in my fingers only noticable when I try to bend them and both symptoms have kept up. I called my OB office as the swelling in my ankles didn't pop back out when I pressed them and talked with the on call OB (of course the only one I hate) and she said to drink water with lemon juice in it and lay down/elevate my legs/feet. My mom then prompted me to take my blood pressure and it was 130/78. Except for one time at a Chiropractor's office my blood pressure has always been under 120 and under 60. Pregnancy is a natural blood pressure lowerer so it has been lower during my pregnancy. I'm only 18 years old, have gained 25 lbs so far during the pregnancy (started gaining at four months) so I have gained that amount in four months. I'm a healthy person and small woman at five feet four inches tall and 111 lbs pre-pregnancy. I haven't done any physical activity since 15 weeks due to Placenta Previa, which then turned into Placenta Abruption at 22 weeks and have been on limited bed rest since 22 weeks. I got a steroid series including two injections at 24 weeks since at that point I could go into pre-term labor at any point. I know Edema (swelling), fluid retention is normal during this point in pregnancy but what about the blood pressure? Experiences, advice, knowledge on anything mentioned? I also want to add I passed my Gestational Diabetes test at 28 weeks.

Well my last period started Nov. 25-29 it was short and early! i usually get my period around the 3rd of every month....since the last period I have had alot of unprotected sex..he always pulls out, but i know thats not safe at all! Within the past few weeks i have had some very weird discharge clear, odorless, kind of like water (TMI sorry)...Anyway I took a pregnancy test on the 1st and it came out negative....but still no period!! i was having some weird cramping a few days ago, but slightly different then period cramps...I've been kinda tired lately..and headaches, but other then that & the NO period there are really no symptoms... does that sound like i could be pregnant even if the test said no...if not what else could it be? my period is usually always on time..i'm not stressing any more than usual...just need some advice THANKS!!!!

Okay. I have an amazing boyfriend, but as much as I love him, I can't trust him. It's a very long story so please bear with me. When he was about 13, he met this girl named brittany, he had a huge crush on her, but she just always kept him guessing and eventually she hooked up with one of his friends, got pregnant, had the kid, and now she lives bout 2.5 hours north. They have continued their "friendship". Just to let you know they did make-out once. But back to the story, I am 18 years old. Never been in trouble, straight A student. Pretty much a goody goody. I have never had a problem with people liking me. Now keep that in mind, because I recently got kicked out fofr reasons I can not say. I am not living with my boyfriend and his family. His family loves me. Everything is good betwen us except this Brittany thing. She is constantly texting him and calling him. He swears up and down that they are just friends, but one night I caught him asking her out, saying he would break up with me in 6 months. THe next morning I told his mom and dad, because I didn't know what to do. They confronted him, eventually he and I talked and he claimed that I saw wrong, and then he cried. He can't cry in front of people. So things were good for a while, but Brittany hates me. She calls me the "wife." saying that I control him. She calls him "love" and "babe", and I'm about to pull myhair out. I am already so stressed because of this thing with my parents, but now this. To add to the confusion, he gave me a beautiful promise ring for christmas. We plan on getting married one day. I am just so confused. He went up north to his aunt's for the week, just got back yesterday, but while he was up there, she got pissed that he would not come see her. He refused because it was new year's and all the drunks were out, and also I told him I don't want him seeing her until she accepts our relationship. He claims she stopped, but I know she hasn't. SHe has been trying to convince him that he doesn't love me, he loves her. That he doesn't want to marry me. They made a pack that when they were 14 that if both of them are not married by 25, they will get married. It all just hurts so much because I can tell he lies about it. When she texts and what they are saying. She stopped talking to him after new years because he wouldn't come over. So supposidly when she tried texting him last night he just delted them and didn't text her back. HIs mom had to intervene between us. He's not supposed to text Brittany in front of me anymore because I will be talking but he's texting her. I jsut want to know what anyone else would do. I do love him. I love him more than anything in the world, but I just wonder if I can trust him. Because when he was in the bathroom today, he got a text from her. It said "Why were you up so late last night?" How would she know that unless he tried texting her. (He didn't go to bed until 6 this morning) No one likes Brittany. Her own family hates her because they all think she is a bitch. No lie. His family has been trying to get rid of her for a while. How do I catch him in a lie? I did,but I was too soft, now I know how to handle it when he caught. I want them to stop talking. She saying that She should come before other girlfriends. To add to this, he claims that if she won't accept our relationship, he will tell her either she does or he will stop talking to her. Cause she refuses to accept that he loves me. But I know he loves me. How do I get rid of Brittany????!?!? Please help. Any suggestion is apperciated!

I'm 25 he is 26 and we got married 2 years ago after 8 years of being together and since our wedding night we having been having sex about six days a week some times twice a day don't get me wrong we love each other I couldn't live without him he made my dreams come true. Well since I been pregnant we been happy and excited BUT we haven't had sex in 2 months. I am so horny for him its not even funny I bet he is to but he is scared to hurt me or the baby. What do I do I want him to make love to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am due in June, almost 18 weeks along, and the father of my baby is my ex. We broke up before we found out we were pregnant because our relationship went long distance... and he did not want that anymore. Anyway, I am not asking a single thing from him... but I want him to see his child. I am thinking about asking him to come down after it is born. We have talked, we actually talk every two weeks or so... and he says he just has no attachment to the baby. It makes me so sad because I don't understand that... I try but I don't. I guess I am wondering if it is even worth asking him to come see the baby since I am asking nothing else of him... and then for him to make up his mind or if I should just leave him alone all together...? I was in this same situation when I was born, so I guess I am doing everything I an think possible so that when the baby asks why its dad wasn't around, because I know I did... I can tell them that I did everything in my power...BTW The baby was totally a surprise but I am 25 and felt like I am mature enough for a baby. The dad is still in college but only a couple years younger than me. I am so confused. BTW we dated for two and a half years so this was not a short term relationship or fling.

I am 25 weeks pregnant and the last 2 weeks i have been feeling very light-headed it comes and goes. like sometimes i would get really dizzy and i feel like if im going to faint or just fall down.or even if im just sitting down it happens?

WHAT DO U GUYS DO WHEN U FLIP OUT OR GET GRUMPY? i am 25 weeks pregnant and lately i have been getting really grumpy or mad at everyone for any small reason. especially my boyfriend i would start to scream at him or just ignor him for any reason, and then later on i would feel bad cus the way i would treat him. especially cus he takes it and he would try to make me feel better when i act like that with him.

Im 25 weeks prego and have gained 8 lbs. I was a little bit heavy for my height before becoming pregnant (nothing major though). Im I okay as far as weight goes? What can I do to help control my weight? I'm so hungry all the time and i don't want to gain any more weight that I absolutely have to Second of all, your a joke. Dont answer anymore of my question. You dont see me harassing you do you?

I've been having regular sex with my husband and I am on Ortho-tri-cyclen Lo birth control pills. I had my period From Dec. 25 (Sucks I know) until around the 28th. So I am only on my first week of the new pack. The past couple of days my nipples have been really sore and right around them as well. Also, I have been having a lot of lower back pain and head aches. For the past two years, these symptoms have not occurred due to the birth control pills, however I know it is possible, and I haven't had any change in diet or environment. Has this happened to anybody else/could I be pregnant? Or should I just wait it out? Any advice is welcomed! Thanks!

OK, I had my daughter 4-4-08. I have not had my AF since having her until 11-28-08. I figured that with her slacking off the breast, I was returning to my normal 28 day cycle. Well, I didn't. I took a pregnancy test from about 25 days since my last af and thought I saw a line, but it could have been my imagination. I then took another one 1.5 weeks ago and saw a faint line. It showed a "not pregnant" result in 59 second (I timed it) and, because a negative result wasn't suppose to show up until the three minute mark, I took it apart immediately and it was still streaked with blue dye. I waited until the three minutes were up and looked and there was a second line. How regular should I be after I get my first AF while breastfeeding?

9.4 weeks pregnant and have been have a severe migraine since yesterday..... i took tylenol yesterday around 6:30 and this morning around 5:30 in the morning and have taken several showers to try and get rid of this headache. tylenol usually doesnt work for me anyway bu it does lessen the pain for about an hour or two. i was wondering how harmful would it be to the baby if i took it again now at 1:25. the pain has decreased significantly, i can just feel it coming back. also i know what your going to say call your doctor but my doctors office is closed on the weekend and anyways i already asked and he told me i can only take tylenol. please help my migraines are extremely painful and i just cant take it anymore!

Hi Everyone! I wanted to see if any of you have had a similar experience. I'm 24 years old and I hadn't had sex for nine months and then did three weeks ago (we used protection). My periods have always been irregular and my last three pap's have come back abnormal. My gyno didn't seem too concerned, he just told me that we'd keep an eye on it. I've noticed that over time my PMS symptoms have gotten more severe and lasted longer. My period should have come this week and I've had literally all of my normal symptoms but have yet to bleed. Over a week ago I put on several pounds of water weight. My breasts, abdomen and feet got really really swollen. I've had really severe cramping for over a week, I could feel the side that I am ovulating from (Ieft) and it was painful to the touch, I've had an abnormal amount of discharge and have been having to go to the bathroom more often. I also have felt hormonal, feeling the urge to cry for no reason. I took a pregnancy test on Monday and it came back negative instantly. Over the last few days I've lost the water weight, but I'm still extremely sore, including pain under both of my rib cages. I have two friends that are pregnant and neither of them have experienced any of these symptoms, in fact, they just missed their periods altogether. I made an appointment with my gyno for Wednesday and I plan on discussing all of these symptoms with him. I also plan on taking another pregnancy test tomorrow just to verify. Has anyone had this happen? I suppose this could just be the stress of missing my period, but I also worry that I could have endometriosis. Several of the women in my family have it and I've heard that it starts to get worse around age 25. Any feedback would be helpful. :) I should probably mention that my vagina has been really sore (on the inside) for a week or more.

In April of 2008 I was 25 weeks and 3 days pregnant, I went to the Hospital with High blood pressure. I was admitted to get it down. My babies pulse rate dropped to 90 beats per minute, after they gave me the blood pressure meds. (normal is 140) They still didn't put me on constant monitoring, they actually took me off it!! At approx 10:30pm on April 1st a nurse came in to check for the babies pulse again. She checked for a pulse for about 5 min and never found one, while still looking another nurse came in and signaled the nurse to come. So the nurse left the room with me there with the goop and all. After about 10 min my husband cleaned me up. Nobody came back until approx 11:45 Over an HOUR later even though they couldnt find his pulse. They still couldnt, that is when they called the Dr in and he confirmed the death of my Child at midnight on April 2nd. They induced my labor and 23 hours later I had a beautiful 1lb 6oz baby boy that already lived with God. What I am wondering is if I have a lawsuit against the hospital for negligence. She could not find his pulse, when the last reading was 90, she came in to check him again and without finding a pulse left the room for over an HOUR!! They could have done an emergency c-section, but since she didnt come back to confirm, and then tell the Dr until Midnight it was too late!! Do you think I have a case?? I just wanted to add. It is not UNCOMMON for a child this young and weigh this much to survive. I have met more that survived than that passed. I just watched a shot on Quintuplets born at 25 weeks and all weighed less than 1pound 2 oz. So I think he has a chance. Obviously a better one than in the womb with a dropping pulse. The survival rate for that gestation is as high as 85% I would have taken those odds! every one of the quintuplets lived btw

i'm 30 weeks 6 days pregnant, i went to the doctors on monday, 30+2, and my fundal height was still 25 weeks. my doctor sent me for an ultrasound on wed, 30+4, and my baby measured 32 weeks, 3 lb. 9 oz. so my question is can the uterus just stop growing? and also is 3 lb. 9 oz. small for a baby measuring 32 weeks? this is my first pregnancy and i don't know that much.lol. thank you

I got my last period on December 5th. My cycle is usually 25 or 26 days. I've had sex once this month, right after my period ended (December 7th). On December 19th, I noticed some brownish discharge. There were quite a few clot-like things and then it got a little heavier and more red. It lasted for around a week. On December 30th (around when I had been expecting my period), I started getting cramps and seeing more brown discharge. It has stayed pretty light, but for a while, it was a tiny bit heavier and reddish. That hasn't stopped yet, but it's nothing more than I'd need a pantyliner for. I plan to get a home pregnancy test today, but can anyone tell me what they think is going on with me?
