Ok so I am now 27 weeks pregnant. I just started the third trimester. I have only had 1 ultrasound which was at 7 weeks. From my impression you are suppose to get an ultrasound each trimester to check development. My doctor told me I would get my next one around 25 weeks and when I went in for my December appt he never scheduled me one. So yesterday when I went in for this months check up I had to ask him about it and he said that they normally don't do ultrasounds. Does that sound a little off? From everything I've read and friends that went through this they had one each trimester accept for one she had more since she was more high risk. I mean aren't they suppose to be checking to make sure the baby is developing properly? I am thinking he forgot about it and made an excuse to why he hasn't scheduled one because when I mentioned it he said they don't do them, but I can have one if I want it.

The person i know is 27 years old and 19 weeks pregnant she recently had amniotic fluid test and a ultrasound the doctor told her that baby has down syndrome and hydrocephalus. Now I've talked to her and she thinking about having an abortion. I know it's her choice. She told me members of her family say just leave it to god and let it be what it has to be....But does anyone one here have similar experiences or maybe words of encouragement that i can provide her with would help a lot. Ok so my sister in law is prego 27 weeks , she didnt find out she was pregnant until she was 15 weeks or atleast that is what she says.... Anyways I know she drank during the time she was pregnant because i was with her but she denies she ever drank anything, she is 23 so I dunno why she would deny it and we all know she didnt know she was pregnant at the time. Anyway she got assistance to cover her but because of hurricane ike she had to wait for another month before being able to see a doctor THEN after that happened she had problems with the Insurance Company so now she is 27 weeks and FINALLY seeing a doctor , she was smart enough to start prenatal when she found out . Anyway she had her blood drawn when she was 17 weeks and the test came back positive that the baby could have down syndrom or spinal bifida but she is in denial , she keeps telling me NO the baby doesnt have that , the doctor started seeing her every 2 weeks , I went to the same doctor and he didnt start seeing me every 2 weeks until I was like 31 or 32 weeks so I found this odd. Anyone have any info about this test and what it could mean ?

Hear is my story. I am originally from Germany and I left my county about 4 years ago and moved to America. After couple of months I met one cuy, who seemed so nice, kind, loving. I fell in love with him and our relationship started. He is moslem and born in Afganistan. He took me out, he spend money on me. Then I get pregnant. I did not want to have a baby so I made abortion. One day I called and called to him and he never picked up the phone. After 1 week I found out that he was arrested. I was shocked. Anyway he was in jail 3 months and then he was deported to his country. I still do not know what he was there but I have my thoughts that he was not legally in America. Anyway during this 3 months I found out about him things that broke my heart 100 different pieces and there was days when I thought I do not want to live anymore. Whay happened was that I talked one of his former best friend and he told me stuff about him. Horrible stuff. The fact he is been cheating me few times different girls, the fact he had 7 different online dating sites, the fact he told me he is american citizen and he was not, and many many more things. I get to prove to that when I found out his email password and checked everything. And I do not need to tell you cuys what I found there... When I told him about that all he started to deny everything and by now he do not still know I know his password, that is why I know everything. He is telling me he loves me, he misses me, he wants to see me and live in germany with me. I want to forgive him because I still love him but I am scared he is not changed. I got with my partner whan I was 18 and am now 27, throughout them 9 years lots happended like they do in relationships until I started training to become a counsellor and came to the realisation that my relationship was built upon control, mental abuse and constant upset. Lots happend throughout, we have two beautiful children together and I have an older daughter that he took on as his own, she is my world, more so because I felt so guilty her Father was not around her and choose not to have contact with her. Time passing, he had a number of affairs, treated me badly, made sure I had no friends and after losing our baby when I was pregnant he never let it go, he held that against me although I believed it was his way of grieving for or baby. Last year through my counselling studies, it changed me so much, I was confident atthis stage and started to not allow him to remain I contol that obviously knocked his confidence of loss of control, his behaviour became worse but only towards me, whilst this was happening I put hings in place (getting ready for the ending of the realtionship) because I had lost any love I once had for him and had already left him in my own mind but remained in the relationship with a sense that the could be a possibility we could work together and get through all the hurt but it was more clear during this that he seen no problem and choose to get more angry. It came to near christmas and he totally lost the plot to my oldest daughter, screaming he hated her (she had recently had contact with the man who was her bialogical father, although she was very excited she was also deeply upset because the truth was he was not intereted, yet I had to let her make her own mind up over him because she was often arguing with me over him).....I remained calm and asked him to think before he carried on screaming because my daughter was becoming very distressed by the way he was carrying on, very agressive!, I asked him to get his stuff and leave the house. The mental abuse throughout the years I was able to cope with but the past few weeks he had started on the children and I would not accept that at all. He went mental and smashed thehouse up, turned the gas cooker on and screamed the children where not eduacated to respect him (he's muslim and has firm beliefs)....I was able to get him out of the house and I packed and went to stay with my Mother with the children over Christmas. No way am I taking him back, my children come first thank you and plus the past few weeks have been so much better for me and the children, am working with the children now doing play therapy to help them talk about things becausethey witnessed his outburst and I fear that will have left an impact with them yt its very important they are able to express their emotions. Today I recieved a call from him, he demanded he see's his son but I had came to the conclusion that it would be best if he did see the children it should be done under supervision because I am fully aware of what he can do and will do (half the part why I never left him) but he has again gone mad and has threatend me. Am I right to do this?, I believe I am because he will not admit he needs help with his anger. Any opinions or help...feel free x

Okay here is the details here. I had a regular period December 2-7th then on the 27th I started with some brown spotting then 2 days of regular flow and then brown spotting again. WTF??? What is up with that (2) day period? I think it's weird. I've never had a period do that before. I dont want to test yet but if I got prego before this 2 day spree then I would be about 5 weeks along. Someone please tell me what's up. My cousin is 27 weeks pregnant. She is due April 5th. She has been feeling a lot of fatigue and she is never hungry. She can eat at 8pm then not feel hungry again until 2pm the next day. When she went to her doctor he just told her she probably just had a bug and that it would get better. She has been feeling like this for the past month and a half or so. She doesn't get out of bed even when she is awake. She just lays there. It's normal for a pregnant woman to feel a little bit of fatigue but she has been acting like she has the flu. My aunt doesn't know what to do with her. They have been in and out of the emergency room, and the doctor just tells her it will get better. Any ideas of what it could be. Maybe if she had an idea of what it could be the doctor could run specific tests. It's not just her being lazy. There is something wrong. My aunt told her it sounded like depression but she said she wasn't depressed. She said she just feels tired all of the time. My aunt also told her that she needed to eat more and my cousin said she couldn't force herself to eat. She can't even finish a bowl of noodles before feeling completely full. She has hardly been eating and the scale said that she has gained ten pounds in the last week. She is really irritable right now.

Ok, so i am supposed to be 27 weeks and 5 days pregnant, but when i went in for my doctors appointment today i was measuring at 31 weeks. I have had two ultra sounds, one at 8 weeks, and one at 20 weeks, and both went with the same due date. But, when i was only 25 weeks, i was having contractions and had to go to the hospital to stop them with a shot and a pill. Also, i recently started gaining weight very fast! Not anywhere but the stomach though. Before i got pregnant i only weighed 115, and now i have gained 35 lbs, 20 of it within the last month and a half. I have been tested for gestational diabetes and i dont have it. Also my only weight is in my stomach, everywhere else im still the same size except for my boobs. Now, the doctor wants me to get an ultra sound because i am measuring out to be 31 weeks. Does anyone think i could be having my baby earlier than expected. Also i have a family history of having preemies. My dad was born at 33 weeks, and I was born at 34. Even my sister was born at 35 weeks. So what do you think my chances are for having my baby early? And when should i expect her? Oh and also, my last period was in early May.

i know that health weight gain varies from woman to woman for each pregnancy, but im concerned with my gain. Probably because I just gained 15 pounds with my entire first pregnancy, I was hoping for the same. im currently 32 1/2 weeks pregnant. Prepregnancy weight was normal. Ive gained a total of about 27 pounds to this point. It feels like too much. I feel like a whale and that it will never come off. Being scheduled for a c section at 39 weeks, i have a little over 6 weeks to go. Granted the last two weeks of holidays didnt help when it comes to packing on an extra 4 pounds this time.

it feels like its in my lower back kinda and its like gas cramps but it sends my body into shock and its hard to catch my breath. it does it mostly when i lay down. i've had bad gas cramps before, but i've never felt this. when it hits me, i can't move or it will hurt even worse. it kind of reminds me of a colic, like my intestines are contracting. what is this and should i be concerned?

The second day it turned more tan colored and the texture was a bit thicker. Keep in mind, it was NOT any heavier. Today, it stopped, and the last of it this morning seemed more gooey more elastic and still tan in color. The discoloration stopped earlier today. Now its back to normal discharge. So three days total. Today is January 4th 2009, my last period was November 22nd. I had unprotected sex Dec 3rd. He did not ejaculate inside of me. I have been off birthcontrol for 10 months now. Last note I will say, I went to see a gynecologist over a week ago,(AROUND 1 week late for my period) and was examined and there were no abnormalities such as cysts or anything. I never took a pregnancy test because during the exam, the doctor told me, i physically, didn't look pregnant at the time. And was told, I would get my period within the week. Instead i got VERRRy light spotting. I have never spotted in my life, i am 27 years old. This is why it worries me. I have no other symptoms of pregnancy other than sensitive and slightly sore nipples, which is a bit unusual. No stress, no diet change, nothing new. What do you guys think? I couldnt find much online about 6 weeks without period and light brown/pink spotting. Implantation bleeding normally takes place between the 2nd and 4th week after conception?... So it be too late for this spotting to be that right???

my abdominal muscles have separated recently, i am almost 27 weeks pregnant and they began separating around 19 weeks, its just getting worse and worse. what are some things i can do about this? if i lie on my back then slowly sit up you can see about a 2 inch gap between my muscles where my guts poke through! i am a nanny and i have to pick up small children daily. its hard to put my shoes on and bend over i heard that 1 in 5 pregnant woman get this? well from what i have read if your abdominal muscles have separated more then normal like mine have, they dont just return magically to normal.. can this cause a hernia?

I had sent a question in last week wondering if i could be pregnant. My husband and i had unprotected sex on 12/18. that eve i started my period (lighter than usual and it was already late) . He is in a different state right now and won't get back until the end of March and I am due April 5th. I live 4 hours from family and friends and I am scared that I may have the baby before he gets back. I dont know anyone where I live. I am just wonder what you guys would do in this situation. Would ovarian cysts give me positives on two clearblue +/- tests one week and then the next week give me a negative on an early Answer test the next week. Cuz like my period is 8 days late and before I go into the clinic I need to know what could be wrong first so I know what questions to ask. I'm not cramping or bleeding or anything. My sister had 3 miscarriages and she always had severe cramping (she was in tears) as a sign that something was wrong. The bleeding wouldn't start until days after the cramps. My last period was 11/27/08 and I'm on 28-30 day cycle. I had unprotected sex December 7 so I think there's a chance I might be pregnant, but I'm not sure now.

hello, another question for the ladies.. i am 27 weeks pregnant and confused if i should breast feed or bottle feed. i have 3 ppl close to me, 2 of which formula feed, and my cousin who breast feeds.. now my cousin who breast feeds is wlways complaining about sore breasts, cracked nipples and even bleeding nipples, the constant embarrassment of milk leaking and staining her clothing etc.. so she switched to formula after just 3 weeks. i know they say breast is best but for the first few weeks of all the babies borths, the mothers who formula fed seemed to enjoy it more.. just asking some opinions here, should i breast feed? or should i formula feed? keeping in mind that my husband and i are planning to travel to thailand when the baby is 10 months old or so.. thanks

I just found out I am pregnant on the 22nd of Dec. I had a blood test done on the 23rd and my HCG was only 15. I also had an ultrasound but there was no evidence of gestation. My doctor said HCG was too low and Im probably not pregnant. Had more tests done: Dec 26- 73 Dec 27- 132 Dec 29- 351 I cant recall when my last period was in Nov. was but I know its somewhere between the 17th-21st. My last recorded sure menstrual period was Oct 21. Because I dont know when my last period was they cant tell me how far along I am in the pregnancy. I just had an ultrasound done yesterday Jan.2.. which showed an empty gestational sac. Im worried that its empty. Is it too soon? They told me to come back in 2 weeks.

I met this girl at work back in 2004. We were both coming off long term relationships, her 8 yrs 2 kids me 6 yrs one kid. Her dude was abusive and hit her, he's on probation and everything for that. Me my ex is just a slut, we had our daughter, not planned tried to make it work, separated then during the separation she says she's pregnant and mine, I'm like WTF I was nowhere around we split, even though I was supporting all of them she did the child support thing and only the daughter was mine, now the courts ordered me to give her less then what I was giving her to begin with. I didn't like the fact she lied trying to salvage our relationship saying the other kid was mine, I couldn't trust her made the hardest decision ever to move leave my daughter and just pay Child support which I do. That brings me to meeting this chick, getting over my trust issues I ask her out for some drinks and pool, 1st date we clicked and got steady. I've made tons of sacrifices for this girl, supported her kids and her myself and my child back home, put her through pharmacy tech school, books, gas etc. did her kid's X-mas all the time, But working 60hrs a week I guess I couldn't be there quite as much, and she cheated moved out, and then this new dude pushed her or something who does she come back to. Me b/c I treat her right. I was crushed when she left the first time,she was my world everything I did or thought I included her. She acted like she felt the same way the love you shit blah blah blah, May of this year she moves out again now it seems she calls when she wants shit and I always run to her beckonning call, but now I'm getting sick of it. I'm losing if not lost feelings for her, I never thought that would be possible, is it for the best? The question relates to this: She just called me having car problems, and instead of me going babe, where are you, I'll be right there I'm like, what do you want me to do? I'm 33 and have no idea whats going on...I had sex on 11/13 (a condom was used) and through my online reasearch found out I was ovulating on that day as well. 2 weeks later (11/27) I got my period. This period was different. The flow was different than my normal periods also my normal periods last 6 days with the 6th day being very light or spotting but this period lasted 7 days. Well through out my period and after it ended I kept having pregnancy like symptoms. I would get slight nausea and sometimes in the middle of eating or I would smell my food I would feel sick and have to stop eating. My breast would hurt, my back and sides would hurt (sometimes my sides felt like they were pulling) and my hips would hurt. I kept feeling like I was getting my period but it had already ended. Also my gums bleed when I brush my teeth and I have blue veins across the top of my breast as well as down my sides, My nipples looked bigger. At work in the middle of the day I'm falling asleep at my desk. Also I'm not a veggie eater at all but I for whatever reason wanted to taste this pineapple glazed sweet potato and liked it. I took a HPT and it said neg. Well during this time I went to the doctors for my yearly check up (12/11) and told the Dr about my symptoms. She did a pregnancy test there and again neg. Next day did blood test also neg. but found out that test measures the same levels as the urine so of course it would match since they were only a day apart. Pap test and STD test all came back fine. An ultrasound was scheduled cause during my exam my pelvic area was tender to touch. The night before the U/S appt (12/30 around 10pm) I got my period. It was suppose to come on 12/28. Had the U/S and with a quick glance said she didn't see baby. If I was pregnant I would of been 6 weeks and 6 days from the conception date so I'm sure they would of seen something if I was. After the quick glance for the baby she went back looking at my ovaries and stuff. She said everything looked good but would get the final results next week. Now back to this period that I just got the night before the U/S. This period is lighter than normal. Right now (1/3) its so light it looks like its about to end and it usually last for 6 days and I just got it on 12/30. Any idea on whats going on with me???

I am 27 weeks pregnant with my 2nd, I am having Menstrual Like cramps and have been for the past 2 or so hrs, is this normal? I feel as if my period were on the way. I am also pretty wet (sorry tmi), and my back hurts. Today I have been lightheaded and iI also have indegestion. is this normal or should I call my doc?

my period ended on December 4.and normally i have a 27-28 day cycle,so its regular pretty much.my period was supposed to come around December 31 but it didn't !i had protected sex about 2-3 weeks ago.my boyfriend and i used a condom,and there were no holes or splits and we checked over and over.I'm worrying so much as if I'm pregnant or not and I'm stressing over this.i need answers as to why my period isn't coming ! :(

Last september i took the morning after pill twice in 1 week because i had been so stupid (i was having a bad week) and ive had periods since but its become really irregular i used to come on every 28 days now i come on every like 24,27 days ya know? i was last on the 8th december and its been 28days now and ive been having unprotected sex with my boyfriend. I recently had a missed miscarriage. Found out at my 12 week scan that my baby had died at 7 weeks 2 days. I'm just wondering, what are the chances of this happening to me again? I'm 27. When me and my husband were trying to conceive, I was still smoking and drinking which I gave up as soon as i found out I was pregnant. Know I should have stopped before but that's in the past. This time, as soon as my bleeding stops from my ERPC, we are going to try again, this time with no drinking or smoking while trying. Please no negative comments. I know I should look after myself while trying to conceive and I've learned from this.

I'm 27 weeks pregnant with my second child, and all day today I have been having these really sharp pains in my pelvic bones. Like when I walk and sit down. I can't remember ever having this with my daughter. Is this normal or something that I should call my doctor about on Monday? Thanks for reading!

My boyfriend of a little over a year just broke up with me and it is completely my fault. He actually proposed to me on Christmas and I said yes. However, for the last couple weeks I have been having what feels like pregnancy symptoms. When I told him he laughed at me because I am on birth control and take it faithfully for the most part (I may not take it until late evening but I've never skipped a day). I decided to take a pregnancy test anyway and it came up negative. The symptoms dropped off for the most part but my body still feels like something is wrong. I just recently got my health insurance through my employer which prevented me from going to the doctor, but have every intention of going now, especially if I don't get my period next week. Every time I bring up these feelings he gets angry and tells me I'm fine and nothing is wrong with me. Well the final straw was three days ago when I told him I had a surprise for him but I wanted to wait until New Year's Eve at midnight. He told me to go ahead and tell him, and I told him I thought I was pregnant. Naturally he got outraged and demanded that I take another test in front of him as soon as I got home from work. For some reason I told him that the test I had taken a few weeks ago was positive, which it wasn't. The new test turned up negative, which prompted him to fly off the handle and tell me that he was sick of my lies and that we were over. The thing is I have never lied to him (with the exception of little white lies of course) in the entire time we've been together and I've been nothing but caring and faithful to him. I don't even know why I told him such a weird lie (maybe my biological clock is ticking--I am 27 after all!!) but I told him that I would do whatever it took to regain his trust. What makes this matter even worse is that we live together, so he has pretty much been ignoring me and treating me bad since it happened. I guess my question is IS there anything I can do to try to save our relationship? My boyfriend is very stubborn and pig-headed, but we have broken up for a few days here in there in our time together and he's always the one who comes running back to me first. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for reading......:) He actually does have a one year-old daughter from a previous relationship (LOOOOONG story) who he doesn't get to see very often, so he does love kids and would like to have a family someday.

I want to know if I would be okay, or is it a bad idea to play paintball, If I am pregnant I would only be a few weeks along, my last period was Nov 27, My period is 30-40 days apart so I am due for my period in a couple days but, theres a chance that I am pregnant, I had spotted last week for 3 days... Would running around in 28 degree weather and getting shot at with a paintball gun be dangerous if I am, like if I were to get shot in the stomach? My friends know something is up, I didnt drink on New Years and I havent been smoking..Should I just say that I am sick and cannot play?

My first son was conceived by clomid last year, and he turns 1 years old January 8th! Yay! As crazy as it is, we've been TTC again ever SINCE he was born. We probably didn't really get serious about it till he was about 6 months old. My periods were I guess pretty regular, between 27-29 days. I've been so stressed out about it lately, since we've had no positive pregnancy tests these past 6 months. My cycles started to get longer, and I never got a positive OPK test. My last 2 cycles were 31, then 35 days. I purchased the Clear blue Easy Fertility Monitor and received my first high status on CD 12, then received a POSITIVE OPK test on CD 18 (Baby Danced) , and 2 days of PEAK Fertility Status on the monitor starting on CD 19 (Bany Danced) and CD 20 (Baby Danced). Today is CD 21 , I am back to high fertility status with the fertility monitor. I had lots of CM this past week, and slight cramping on my left side on the day I got the first positive OPK. After baby dancing, I elevate my hips for at least an hour, before even moving or getting up, just to make sure all those swimmers get where they need to. I've even fallen ASLEEP all night like that! Because you ovulate late, does that mean the egg quality isn't good, and probably won't concieve? Stress doesn't help I'm sure, but its so HARD not to. When everyone you know, seems to get pregnant with no problem. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

im 27 weeks pregnant and when i do something that seems strenuous such as walking up the stairs, my heart seems to skip a beat. It doesn't always happen. but it seems to happen more frequently. Now, I do have a heart condition called a Bicuspid Aortic Valve, which The normal aortic valve has 3 equal-sized leaflets or cusps with 3 lines of coarctation. A congenitally bicuspid aortic valve has 2 functional leaflets. Is all this normal? and with this condition and being pregnant, is it ok? i planned on seeing a doctor at my next appoinment in a couple days, i was just wondering if someone knows anything about this kind of stuff or if someone has experience, thank you for you opinions and concerns though

I'm 26 and happily married but I am scared on why I haven't started my period this month. This happened one time when I was in high school and I skipped a month when I was 14 and that was the only time it happened. I have taken 2 pregnancy tests after my missed period and all came up negative. And yes, I do keep close track on my periods. Me and my husband did have unprotected sex on Christmas eve thinking we would be ok since I was supposed to start on the 26th. (I ALWAYS get my periods every 26-27 days.) I have an ovarian cyst on my left ovary but it is small and rarely causes me any discomfort. I found that out at the doctors and she said there is nothing to be worried about with my cyst. I did, however, start a new medicine a couple of weeks ago. Its called Symbyax and its a mood stabilizer and the pharmacist said it shouldn't cause my period to be late. So could I be pregnant even though my pregnancy test is negative and I took it after my missed period? I'm wondering if it was a long cycle for whatever reason and we had sex when I could have gotten pregnant. It shouldn't be the medicine and I hear ovarian cysts don't alter your periods, expecially in my case having a small functional cyst. My friend scared me last night when she said it could be endometriosis since she had it but my mother is an RN and said I would be in a lot of pain if I had that and to stop worrying. I guess I will call the doc tomorrow since I never skip my period. But I'm really wondering if I can be pregnant.. I missed my period 6 days already, I'm hungry, tired and I pee a lot! I'm not under any stress, just the usual work and live life. If we are pregnant, then it would be a blessing. I'm just scared on the fact that I haven't started--I took a test after my missed period---and it's negative. I'm wondering if it is something serious because I really want to have kids!
