I don't know if I should go get a blood test, or keep waiting it out. My "girls" were incredibly sore for a week and a half and my period is already 7-10 days late (I flux between a 28-31 day cycle), but I've taken 5 tests and all have come back negative. Did anyone else have this issue when they were pregnant?

im 37 weeks and 1 day pregnant. i went to the doctor on tuesday for a checkup and she told me that my blood pressure was high, i had protein in my urine, and im really swollen. which are all signs of preeclampsia. my baby is breech so they already scheduled me for a c-section on the 31st, but now since i had all these signs of possible preeclampsia, the doctor had me take home a jug, and a urine catcher (tmi sorry) and told me for 24 hours collect all of my urine in this jug and keep it cold to bring back to them in the morning. they also took my blood tuesday, and they are going to take it again tomorrow morning when i go back. so my mother in law bought me a blood pressure monitor for me to use at the house but i have no clue what is high or what is low? my blood pressure right now is 133/83 does anyone know if that's still high or low, or what it is?? thanks.

i woke up at 7 am with sharp pains in my stomach. i tried moving positions but it wouldnt go away. they finally calmed down at around 930 am. i thought i see what yalls opinion of what it is before i call the doctor .. its painful like when your running and you get that side pain but it was all over my stomach..

my regular cycle is 28 days and ive stopped pills around the end of december. i got my next period on 6th jan and we "did it" regularly for a week around the 20th. but i got my next period on the 31st(irregular i suppose) and the next one on 28th feb (regular again) because we couldnt do it in the feb cycle but again cought up on the 14th of march. is there a chance of me becoming pregnant atlest in this cycle because im really desperate and not sure if everythings all right.

Lately, Ive been having shortness of breath when standing and my back and shoulders start to really hurt. I went to my doc. at 30 weeks and she said that everything is perfect but I am starting to get early contractions too many times in a day and don't want to result in early labour so I should slow down with my activities each day. I am currently in college and Im very active with exercising and swimming. I am home for spring break and it gets worse just laying around.I haven't gained any extra weight just whats recommended for the baby's growth. I don't know if this is normal or whats the cause but its really getting more frustrating and I don't get any sleep during the night because I get extremely uncomfortable and the baby is very active so she moves around a lot waking me out of my sleep. I don't know what the best thing for me to do as far as getting rest and feeling comfortable with the pregnancy and I don't want to go in early labour for the of sake my baby girl. Ok so i had my last period on Feb 16 and it was a 28 day cycle, (My daughter is 18 months old and every Sense i had her my cycle has been 28,29,31 always somewhere around there)so on the 15th which would have been 14th day my husband and i has unprotected sex, and now today my period is due and i kinda feel like am starting back, stomache ach, feels like am discharging and all lat week i had bad mood swings,but no period yet.Could i be or just crazy lol .(ttc)

Okay, so I'm 31 and my husband is 35. I have a 13 yr old daughter and he has a 13 yr old daughter. Both children are with previous marriages. My husband and I do not have any children together. . We want a baby so bad but are afraid. Am I selfish to bring another child into the what this world has become? I got pregnant a year and a half ago and we were so happy but I lost it at 10 weeks. That crushed us, especially him. I think that's why he is more scared. I'm scared bc it's something you can undo. Hello, So i know this question gets asked a lot but i really don't know what else to do. So i guess i should start at the beginning my periods have always been really normal i usually get my period 29-31 days apart. My last period was feb. 9th. I am now late by almost a week. the reason i am asking is because i honestly am having all the normal symptoms of pregnancy i am 24 and have a 3 year old son i honestly feel like i am pregnant and feel exactly like i did before. Ive taken 3 at home pregnancy tests and all have come up negative. I guess what im trying to say is that is 1). how often is at-home pregnancy tests wrong and 2). If i was pregnant how soon would it show if the last time i had sex was feb 12th, 13th, 14th, and 17th? I know i really should go see a dr. but i guess i just want to know for sure.

HI, I am 36-37 weeks pregnant. Today March 15th..I had an ultrasound they told me 37 weeks from what they see and the baby is in position. Well I was with this new guy the weekend from July 31st- August 3rd 2009....We had unprotected sex every night. That sunday night Aug 1st-2nd (into monday)....He admitted he ejaculated in me. My last period was July 4th in between that time...Well it looks like I got pregnat sooner than i realized. I dont have much of a memory of hooking up with my ex. Then I hear that ultrasounds can be 2 weeks off. I AM SOO CONFUSED....When does it look like this baby was conceived??...What if I really did not have sex in July 2009...

I am currently 31 weeks pregnant, and they told me that the baby is around 33 weeks big making him in the 82 percential which they said is alright as long as it isn't 90. He weighs 4 pounds 11 ounces, and they said that he was big. Now my mom got me worried because they were talking about preterm labor, since I have more fluid also, she said they never talked about preterm labor with her and that she thinks I will have the baby early. I don't want to have the baby before 37 weeks and I am so worried about it now because I don't want him to be too small, or not able to come home right away, so well anything you can help me with that would be great. I was just wanting to know if there is a chance of me being put on bedrest because of so many infections. I have had about one a month since I became pregnant. This is the first time they have happened this close together so I am just worried. I go to the doctor tomorrow so please dont tell me to go to the doctor... I just want to know if there is a possibility of bed rest. THANKS

I do not have pain in my lower back, just around the front. I have looked up braxston hicks & it says my bump should be hard and tense. My bump is only hard where my baby is, the rest of it is soft. could i REALLY be pregnant? I had my last period on January 30th, i was due about the 28th of February, my periods range from 28-32 days apart. I had sex on the 10th, 14th, 17th, 22nd, 23rd, 26th, and the 31st. Well I started testing on the 3rd, ive since taken 5 pregnancy tests, the last yesterday morning. They all say negative. I am now well over 2 weeks late. My breasts aren't tender, but i have had 2 random vomiting spells. I am stressed, as im in nursing school and its finals week. but its nothing i havent been able to handle before. i have an appointment to see my gyn on the 29th but my lord if i still havent got my period by then what else could it be?? im not ttc, we used a condom every time but we had one break on the 22th. thanks for all your answers. totally not like knocked up. not a one night stand. my fiance has a job. and it wont be completely detrimental to my life if I'm pregnant. but i see where you're comin from =] lol.

I have also had to pee quite a bit. Headaches? yes, but I have also been attempting to cut down on the caffeine. I think I saw a slight spotting last night (like 1 drop) but have not had any more since. Do I still have a chance of being pregnant, even with all these negative tests (including this morning)? I go to my general doctor in one more week, and if I haven't had my period will get a blood test.

I know he is just a little big because we tried for a long time so knew down to the the day when we got pregnant and had an early ultrasound due to complications at first. Anyway, I'm wondering because my daughter was 2 weeks early but was 8 1/2lbs. I've already started with lots of BH contractions (which I never had with my daughter) and have a feeling this little guy is going to be a bit early. I'm at 31 weeks now. I hate the fact that he may be early but around when would he be "safe". My doc is going to start checking me every week because of how early I started to dilate (4cm for over a month) and efface with my daughter. I stuck my finger in there and I can feel my cervix very close to my vaginal opening. Its not even a finger length up there. Should I go to the hospital? What is a prolapse? Anyone else?

The past to days I have noticed a little bit of pain in my left side. It started last night when I was yelling for my dogs (they were outside and I was having them come back in). I am only 6 weeks pregnant and the Doc won't see my until the 31st. Is this a normal pain, or should I be concerned? I am afraid it could be a symptom of an ectopic/tubal pregnancy, but I don't know anything at all. This is my first pregnancy and I am scared.

after 9 years, i stopped using contraceptives, This was on 13th november, i have had 2 periods since then, both of which were 5 days late and lasted for 5 days, i am currently 31 days late for my period. I took a home pregnancy test last week and it showed up negative. I dont really have any symtoms as such, only a slight pain in my left lower abdomen, peeing more often and constant bloating for about 3 weeks. i am going to my doctor about this in a few days but i live in spain, so it is not so easy to describe how i feel to my spanish doctor.

Does this sound like pregnancy or am I just imagining things? I'm sorry I know this is one of those oh-so-common am I pregnant questions, but I could really use some help! I use the natural family planning method, which has worked for me for years. My period have been consistent for about 6 months since getting off of the pill in July 2009. I got off of the pill because every time I take birth control, I get always get most of the bad side effects. So since October my period have been going on about a 33-34 day cycle. I've been able to chart when I ovulate,which is about 12 days after my period. I can feel it as well, so I know. Its been like this: Periods: October 31 December 3 January 6 February 9 I always figure it will come within that 3 days gap. They usually are a very heavy flow and last about 5 to 7 days. However, in February, it didn't come until about halfway through the day on the 9th and flowed for about a day or two and then became so light for a couple days that it only showed when I wiped. The day after this "period" stopped, I went to the doctor for a follow up appointment after being diagnosed with PCOS and took a urine pregnancy test, which was negative. But this month, it was supposed to come on the 12th and it hasn't! And I've only felt bloating. I usually get PMS symptoms pretty bad about a week before my period, but this month I haven't experience a thing. But I been experiencing breast pain for about 3.5 to 4 weeks now. I've been experiencing more and more symptoms as the days go by: -Headaches -Fatigue (its getting to the point where my partner can't even wake me up and if he succeeds, I become unusually angry while I'm still half asleep) -Nausea (slightly and in the morning and evenings. Not everyday. No vomiting) -TERRIBLE lower back aches (sometimes they don't stop until it is throbbing) -Perky Nipples -Sensitive breasts (a lot of times they will hurt with no movement being made at all) -lightheaded and have only experience two dizzy spells -Certain smells do make me queasy and I haven't been able to eat some foods that I normally do. -I have that sticky, clear, discharge that has no odor (I know for a fact I'm not ovulating because I charted it, but I did hear this could be an early pregnancy thing) -Oh and lets not forget, no period. So let me know what you guys think. Am I crazy or just pregnant? The reason I haven't tested yet is because it could be my body just going nuts. So I thought I'd give it a week before jumping to conclusions... Thanks for the input about PCOS and ovulating. For me, I've never had problems with my period. I mean it may have been a little off sometimes, but it didn't really mess up until I got on the depo a few years ago and then went through a series of different birth control pills. But I menstruate fine and my doctor says I ovulate very consistently, especially for someone with PCOS. This is the only reason i'm questioning my symptoms because my period and ovulation schedule have been completely regular.

i have had a urniary tract infection for about a month and the doctor prescrbed me a 7 day antibiotic but it doesnt seem to be working.my pains and everything seem to be getting worse by the day..is a uti bad for the baby or will everything be ok and this will jus go away on its own

Through out the whole week I've been experiencing cramps, not like period cramps. There like little mild ones that will last about 4 seconds then fade away. I'm 10 days late on my period and had two neg hpt's, and just sick of this now. If i am not pregnant i just want my period to come! i have a feeling i am not pregnant, because of the negative hpt's. did anyone experience cramps like this in early pregnancy. If i am pregnant. i had unprotected sex (withdrawal) with my boyfriend sometime during the first 2 weeks of february. i stopped birth control in december (with the belief that we would not have sex anymore), and i got my period december 31 and february 1 (usually about 5 days). he pulled out within plenty of time, but from the moment he pulled out, i had a panicky feeling that i was pregnant -- i just had a feeling. i have thus been stressing about it since, waiting and praying for my period to come. i know that this method is NOT safe at all and i would not have agreed to it had i been thinking/more awake. after my period did not come on march 5 like i was expecting it to (based on the 32 days between my last 2 periods... and i am NEVER late), i bought first response pregnancy tests today (march 13, a full week later) and used the first one today. it showed up negative. i am planning on using the second one tomorrow morning, bc i know that morning urine has the most pregnancy hormone in it, but i just couldn't wait to use the first. does anyone know how accurate this test should be? i have been doing a LOT of researching (very stressed about this) and understand that i may have tricked myself into thinking i was pregnant ("phantom pregnancy") or just that the stress of thinking i was pregnant delayed my period... but i guess it would just be nice to hear back from other people and hear about their experiences! thanks so much! to be honest i had myself convinced i was pregnant but after the test i feel soo much better... but i guess i was just looking for reassurance that i was overreacting/worrying for nothing! hopefully i'll get my period soon :)

I'm 31 and she is 26. Both divorcees and she has two kids from her previous marriage. She is 6 weeks pregnant and we are ecstatic! But I question the future timeline of events. We don't live with each other. I haven't even met her kids yet. I'm sure I don't want to jump into another marriage right now considering we have only known each other 4 months. But what about living conditions and such? Is it jumping the gun to move in together right away? Obviously the pregnancy wasn't planned but that doesn't mean everything else afterwards shouldnt be. How do we bring a new baby into the world AND introduce me as her significant other to the kids? I don't want to be rejected. There is no question about raising and the well-being of the baby... just questioning the logistics. The plan??... move in together in August/Sept. Have the baby in Nov. Then take one day at a time to learn and support each other? Big changes in store but what do ya'll think. Optimisim please! ;o) Thanks!!

im 31weeks pregnant and i toss and turn all night long im most comfortable on my back surprisingly but ik its not good for the baby and on my right side im comfy too but that's not good either, does any one know a comfortable way too sleep so i don't toss and turn too much iv tried putting pillows between my legs (dosent help very much) so please any advice on how i can sleep a little easier would really be apreciated :)

My head is screwed on backwards today,31 weeks pregnant and trying to find out how many births in Rotunda hospital require an episiotomy.I found a list of birth complications for another hospital but I can't remember how I found it and what words to use for the search...I must sound REALLY dim right now but I honestly cannot think!!! Anyone know where I'd get this list?I just want to know if they do episiotomy's as routine cause I don't want one and when I said that I felt a little 'told off' for suggesting I may not need one.....

hi i'm 35 weeks with #2 and have just realised on my notes that i'm measuring 33cm at 35 weeks. All of my other measurements match the gestation eg.@ 15 weeks i was 15cm, then 27 weeks i was 27cm and at 31 weeks i was 31cm so how come it's not the same this time? my midwife didn't mention anything at the appointment and i didn't realise till i got home and had a look at the notes

During the first week after the baby being born, I lost almost 30 pounds. But that was basically water and the baby. The doctor told me that it would take 6 weeks for my uterus to go back to normal size. But my belly still looks like I'm about 4 months pregnant. I'm curious to hear from those who have had c-sections. Please tell me about your weight loss and how long it took. Also I want to know if I will always have this belly? Before getting pregnant I always had a flat tummy. Thanks in advance. My Doctor told me that the passing gas thing was only important because that way they know you are ok to go home from the hospital and that your intestines are working proper. I was able to pass gas on the second day after the c-section. I guess I'm just a bit depressed and worried, because none of my pre-pregnancy clothes fit. I'm still wearing maternity pants and sweat pants. I realize I just had a baby, but the weather is getting nice and I'm tired of wearing maternity clothes.

I had my Mirena inserted 6 weeks after I had my son and that was 3 1/2 years ago. While on the Mirena, I loved it (I didn't have a period or have to worry about it). I had it removed in March 2009 and wanted to try to conceive. My periods returned to normal usually in between 27 days and 31 days. For the past couple of months my periods have been irregular. One cycle it was 48 days, then 41 days, and now 38 days. I am just really worried that I have not become pregnant after 1 year of trying. I want to hear of anyone elses experiences with the Mirena and could this possibly cause infertility. My husband and I are both healthy and young (21 and 22).

I'm just over 31 weeks pregnant.I eat pretty well but I have had trouble getting as much exercise as I'd like.I'm 5ft and a teensy bit and when I got pregnant I was just over 8 stone.I'm now 11 STONE!!!Is this WAY too much weight?I haven't been pigging out but I feel gigantic,I'm having a boy and my sister in law is having a girl,she's 3 weeks behind but I look like a hippo beside her and it's pretty humiliating. Anyone think I'm too big?I still have 9 weeks left so how much more am I going to gain??

31 Weeks Pregnant. And For About Six Days Now I Have Been Having Terrible Head Aches And A Pain In My Neck Too Is This Common In Pregnancy?? Is There Anything I Can Take For It?? ... I Try Too Sleep/Rest Too Ease The Pain But, It Doesn't Work :((...

I am almost 33 weeks now, but friends never seem to think so.. they always saying I look much less.. What do you think Btw, at my 31 weeks scan, bubs was measuring only 29 weeks :( What's ur say. God bless!

Hi folks. My husband and I have been trying to conceive since we got married last September. I have been recording my cycle and it is 24 days long on the nose. Also i usually get a couple of days of spotting and really strong cramps before my period comes. I'm now on day 31 of my cycle - no spotting or strong cramping, just little twinges - and I've done 5 tests over the past week and all are negative. I've tried testing first thing in the morning and later on in the day. I still have no signs that my period is coming. The only thing i've noticed really is that i am very tired but am not sleeping through the night. I also am getting warm spells (but my temp on my chart hasn't risen). I feel silly going to the doctor as I'm afraid she will just tell me to wait longer (so 60 quid down the drain and none the wiser). I really don't know what to do...any advice?

Im 31 weeks and 5 days and im having a Baby Boy. But im still figuring Out who is my baby's father.I did my first Ultrasound On March 2 2010 and the doctor said the measurements of the baby is fine and perfect but actually my tummy is Kind of Small for 31 weeks.Im 17 years old and Im a senior and i graduate May 21 2010... but I havent had my period right after me and my ex-boyfriend broke up which was in the beginning of July 2009.Me and him did it more then 8 times without protection. Then I did it with someone else On August 9 2009 around 4:00 in the morning and i only did it with him two times without protection..Im thinking that my ex-boyfriend is the dad of my Baby because im pretty sure it's not the other guy i did it last with because right after me and my ex-bf broke up that was my last period but i just dont know the date of my last period because i didnt keep track....im 31 weeks and 5 days today and my due date is May 7 2010 PLEASE HELP ME OUT THANK YOU!!!

I am currently 33 weeks 5 days pregnant with baby #2. When I was 31 weeks I was diagnosed with Pregnancy Induced Hypertension and mild Preeclampsia. I was also having lots of contractions in the hospital so they called it pre-term labor but they stopped on there own. I am currently dilated to about 1-2cms and around 50% effaced already and on bed rest. Doctors are trying to get me to 35 weeks before needing to induce but don't expect me to make it much past 36. So any of you moms delivered between weeks 34 and 36 and what was the outcome? How big was baby and did the baby have any problems? Did the baby need a lvl 2 or lvl 3 nicu and how long did they have to stay? Any stories or advice is appreciated. Its possible I could go longer but I want to prepare myself for the real possibility of having her early. Also one week ago they estimated my babys weight at 4lbs 10oz. also my when my son was born (even though he was very overdue) he had a hole in one lung and extra fluid and wasnt breathing. He was in a lvl 2 with lots of machines and monitors so I know what to expect as far as if the baby needs to be in an intensive care nursery but no clue about the prematurity part.

so pretty much i seem to have my period every 30 days or 31 days.. but lately i've been having the cramps , bloating , Fatigue , Drowsiness , Irratation over small things. And peeing alot , but it hasn't come it's been 1 week now..and it's starting to bother me. and no i've never had sex. I'm 15. What causes this? I've been doing softball lately so alot of running.

I am 13 days late. Lmp was 1/24/2010 which would put me at 6 weeks. I have sore boobs,constipation, light cramping and no period. I am usually on a 31-32 day cycle, have been regular for 7 years. I have one child and my fiancee and I have been trying to conceive for 2 months. we are not stressing but I haven't missed a period since I got pregnant with my daughter. I have taken several test since being a week late. Anyone get a positive after 6 weeks or more? Or could it be something else. FYI am am in my early 30's so please be adult with the answers. Thank you.

I'm 31 weeks pregnant, and am having a repeat, scheduled cesarean at the very beginning of May, at 39 weeks. I have an anterior placenta, and I had an elective 3D ultrasound that showed it started from above my belly button, and covers my cesarean scar (I have the low bikini cut). So my doctor is going to have to cut through it to get the baby out. Is this safe? Are there more complications that can happen because of this? Is maternal or fetal death very common if the DR has to cut through the placenta? Is it common for this to happen? Has anyone ever had this happen, and if so, what was your experience? My OB told me at my last appt. before I found out at the ultrasound that if the placenta was covering my scar, he'd just cut through it and I'd lose a little more blood, but I've read nothing but scary things about it. Can I request that he send me for an ultrasound to make sure it's covering my scar or to see if it's moved before my cesarean in May? Is there an alternative? VBAC is not an option, for personal and medical reasons. I really need some answers please! Thank you!
