SHARP pains in my groin that literally stopped me in my tracks. they came and went. later they returned but this time with cramping/tightening in my stomach. (i guess thats contractions) nausea along with that. then loose stools. contractions lasted for about 2 hours when i started timing them because i called labor and delivery and they called them contractions they were 5 minutes apart for about 30 minutes. then it stopped. i still have alot of pressure in my groin area. sometimes the sharp pains. this morning when i woke up.... sharp cramping that went down the front of my legs. only lasted for about 2 minutes. im so confused. should i be getting prepared. i mean i know regardless i should because im so far along. but... should i be expecting it sooner than a month from now? i was so scared last night. i kept repeating last night "im not ready im not ready!!!! NOT YET" i have panic attacks so i have to really prepare myself.

So i asked her will my baby be ok, will his lungs be developed. She said yes because 37weeks is counted at full-term, she also said i wont be needing an amnio test to check the baby's lungs. My sister is 35 weeks pregnant, she has been experiencing braxtons hicks from 27 weeks onwards. Her and her boyfriend are here for mother day with my family and she isn't near the hospital she was planning to give birth in. This morning she thought she was having normal braxton hicks but now they are getting worse and her boyfriend is timing them and they seem to be 25-30 minutes apart each time and sometimes only 18-20 minutes apart. My boyfriend is increasingly worried and her midwife has said go to the nearest general hospital but my sister isn't having none of it. She keeps telling the whole family its too soon and the baby isn't ready yet. We think shes just worried because her baby will be premature but everyone says the pregnant mother knows best. I'm 35 weeks pregnant and my stomach and back have been extremely tight for the past few hours to where it hurts to move at all, I had to have my friend get me my laptop cuz I can't get up. Also, across the top of my stomach has been numb to a gentle touch but it is extremely painful if I put very much pressure. Basically, numb to a gentle touch, extremely painful to anything more. What is wrong? I can't get a hold of my midwife to ask so I figured I should ask before I have my husband come home and rush me to the hospital lolz.

Ok so for the last hour and a half i have had constant period like cramping, my left ovary is getting sharp pains and my tummy (just above my pants line) is getting tightening like pains every 8 minutes. But the cramps are constant and tend to hurt more when my tummy hurts. The pain is not getting worse or an closer together. Please help. Im 35+2 weeks pregnant. Is this what Braxton Hicks feel like?

i went through a stage of not being able to sleep at all and for the last 2 or 3 days i feel so exhausted and all i want to do is sleep. ive stopped needing to wee as much and i havent had heartburn for couple days either. is this a sign she could come soon? i feel so ready for her to come and all my houseworks done aswell which is a plus!

I'm 20 years old and I got the Birth control/Depo-Provera shot. I wanted to get and copper IUD but due to my confusion I couldn't and won't be able to until the shot wears off. My bf comes home for college in another state this weekend. I was hoping to spend time with him and being sexual if possible. I won't get much time with him but the week end due to part time work and full time college for me. I'm on the shot the doctor said it will not be fully effective until 7 days I read about it being effective if you get it some time after you cycle or while you on it. I stat my cycle some time next week ( it weird so I don't know exactly when and it last 3 to 5 days) does that mean I'm very fertile right now? ( note my cycle is a 30 to 35 days cycle not the usual 28) MY boyfriend is going to use condom along with spermicide ( I'm not allergic to it as far as I know) While that be enough or should I add the pull-out method to the condom spermicide and this shot that would be use full until 7 days? I really what to have sex with my bf we have been together for 2 years not I only get to see him when he comes home form college in another state ( note we did go to the same high school so this is not a Internet bf) plus we don't get to spend our anniversary of dating together. So your advise? I don't want to get pregnant so I know the best thing to do is not have sex until 7 days have come and gone but he will have gone back before 7 days is up and i won't have time besides this weekend to spend with him ( as stated before) So again whats your advice? Ok so lastnight i was just sitting on the lounge and all of a sudden i got really sharp stabbing pains in my lower back on and off for about 2 hours and at the same time there was a slight tightening of my tummy near my abdomen. The tightening of my tummy did not hurt at all but i could feel it. I am 35 weeks pregnant and and have bad lower back pain for the last 2 weeks but it was so different lastnight and it hurt really bad. I couldnt even bend to stand up.

Im 35 weeks pregnant and for the past 2 days my pelvis has been aching and in discomfort and I'm starting to walk funnier (it's more uncomfortable when I'm walking). I'm finding it's more of an effort to walk and get up. Also my lower back is aching all the time- as opposed to it just aching every now and then. Also, yday for about 10 mins I had period like pains and again at midnight for an hour and again on and off today. I don't know if the baby's head is engaged or if it is the period like pains creating the pelvic aching etc. Any ideas or similar experience? I know the period like pains can be a sign of labour, but I'm dubious as I've still got 5 weeks to go.

hi i'm 35 weeks with #2 and have just realised on my notes that i'm measuring 33cm at 35 weeks. All of my other measurements match the gestation eg.@ 15 weeks i was 15cm, then 27 weeks i was 27cm and at 31 weeks i was 31cm so how come it's not the same this time? my midwife didn't mention anything at the appointment and i didn't realise till i got home and had a look at the notes

Hello All im 35 weeks and 3 days pregnant and im having problems with my relationship. Me and the boyfriend moved in together in January and things started out rocky as we did not plan this pregnancy although im completely happy with it. But things got better and now they seem worse. He never gives me affection if I ask he just kind of rolls his eyes like im asking a huge favor! We sleep in the same bed but there doesnt seem to be any interest in sex, its been over 2 weeks now and everytime i try he tells me he is too tired. I never get compliments anymore nor do i hear i love you anymore. The other problem is there is another man who is head over heels for me ( yes he knows im pregnant) but he always compliments me and makes me feel amazing about myself. It makes me wonder, do you think he could be cheating? Another thing also I am attracted to this other man. Which is making me doubt a future with my bf. I dont know what to do. I love my bf very much but there honestly doesnt seem to be anything there anymore. It almost feels like living with a room ate not a boyfriend. Ive been very confused over this. The other man keeps telling me i do not deserve what he is putting me through and that i should be with him. He already told me if he ever got the chance with me, he would make sure I was his forever and would treat me as a queen as to which he thinks I am. He loves kids and has no problem with this little one on the way. PLEASE HELP! Yes i have tried talking to him numerous times.. his excuses are the only reason he was so affectionate before was because we saw each other a couple times a week. My boyfriend and I have been together for a year. I'm 35 weeks pregnant so we didn't get much time to ourselves before we got the news. I don't regret this pregnancy either way,and still look forward to meeting my baby girl. However,my boyfriend seems to act very different now. When we first found out,I was rather content with it. Of course it shocked me but I didn't let it bother me that badly. Him,on the other hand,went out and did drugs. I know this because he later came back and was kissing me and the pill rubbed onto my skin. He's a "recovering" addict. I have already told him that when our baby gets here if I see it around our house or anywhere around my child that I will leave him. He says okay and pretty much drops it. He is nothing like he use to be. It seems as though he would rather abandon me and our baby and do what he wants,and when I come between that he gets frustrated. He spends a lot of time at his friend's house and when I tell him that I don't like this he simply shrugs it off. I feel like ever since I got pregnant,things have changed. I absolutely am thrilled that my baby will be here soon and I would never take that back,but he acts like he doesn't care in the least. How doo I handle this? Anyone else experience this?

I'm going to be induced two weeks early, and there is still time for the baby to flip, but I was wondering if anyone out there has delivered breech who suffers from SPD? My OB says that if she doesn't flip, I will have to have a C-Section...

I have always had irregular cycles. I would have it for 2 or 3 months on time then it would disappear for months. My periods are always heavy and filled with clots. In August of 2008 I be gain a period that lasted for five months ending in Dec.2008(dx PCOS). I was put on the pill to stop the bleeding. I was on BC pills for about 7months I stopped them in June 09 at the end of my last pack. Before BCP I never had regular cycles .I had 5 normal periods 30-35 day cycles. Should I be concerned about this I had a heavy petting( no ejecualtion that either of us could tell) incident in July27 2009(day 7 of a 30 day cycle) had four AFs after that My last AF was Nov. 24.2009 I had sex Dec.7th (no sex since then, the sex was protected(condom) and he did not ejaculate in me). I had 3 negative urine test. One ept digital and two urine test done by Planned Parenthood. But have not received my period due to the fact that I have irregular cycles I decided to have a blood test done. I don't have insurance so I just went to Lab corp. and had the test done... from what I understand I am not pregnant these are the results. 1 <miu/ml the results said that a non pregnant female can have 0-5 hcg ml in the blood stream. Is it safe to stop worrying about pregnancy and start to work on the lack of period? .

I'm so happy to be expecting two more babies. I have had 2 miscarriages since my son was born in 2003. Today I went to the ob/gyn to do my first prenatal visit and ultrasound. I'm quite shocked, that I'm 13 weeks pregnant, and didn't even know it. I have PCOS. The doctor did my cerclage, and he said that everything looks really good. My husband is currently out to sea, and he will be back tomorrow evening. I haven't told my husband that I'm pregnant. I want to keep it a surprise. Our 9th wedding annivesary is next wednesday. I've got a card picked out for him, and I was thinking about putting two of the extra ultrasound pictures inside. Do you think that he will like that? These two babies will be my last. I'm over 35, and have type 2 diabetes that is strictly diet controlled. How should I tell my husband that we're going to have two more babies? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

This is my third baby and I am feeling a lot of pressure and am incredibly sore from my inner thighs and all through that general area. I don't remember the pressure being so intense with my other two, I also had them by c-section so I have never been through labor. With this pregnancy I have placenta previa and am on bedrest, I'm wondering if this is just a normal feeling or if I need to call the doctor. 18 weeks pregnant with baby number 4. Did not show with the other 3 but assumed pregnancy on top of pregnancy, not done on purpose, would possibly have me showing a little? I see all these women with big tummies and I feel like I'm missing out. People just look at me like your pregnant? Are you kidding? And I have large babies.. 6lb 12oz at 35 weeks, 8lb 13oz at 36 weeks, 7lb 3oz at 36 weeks... Am I really missing out on something? Even as I go in for delivery, you cannot tell I'm pregnant. Never had the big belly. Havent gained a pound in this pregnancy and lost 30 in my last, doctor isn't worried though as long as baby is growing. Weight loss is not on purpose. i am 8 months pregnant ( maybe a little hormonal, okay maybe alot) i don't need stress in my life especially because it's high risk. but here is my problem and maybe im being selfish but , for the last atleast 2 months my fiance ( we have been living together for the last 2 years) has been doing nothing but making plans to go away for weekends after the baby is born, im not talking about just once in a while it's like he has booked up almost every weekend this summer to go away without me and the baby. anything he has made plans to do has excluded us ( camping, concerts). well last night i blew up at him. he did it again. my c-section is booked for april 15th ( which is major abdominal surgery) i get out of the hospital on the 17th with baby ( first day home) well last night he decided he is going to a concert the evening of the 17th and then going to the bar with his buddy afterwards. i got extremely upset about it. i told him what i thought, i t feels like even though baby isn't born yet i will be raising baby on my own. of all nights to make plans he does it my first night home with the baby... i told him that i would rather be single and that way he can do what he wants when he wants. he didn't say to much the only thing he ask is when he would be able to see his daughter and i told him whenever he wanted, i ended up sleeping on the couch and we havent spoken since. it's not like we are 2 teenagers , i am 30 and he is turning 35. we have 2 other children( from previous relationships) i just don't know what to do, should i stay with him and be upset and just deal with it or should we just go our separate ways? oh and his birthday is coming up in 2 weeks.. i know it's not his problem it's mine but im stuck at home on bed rest but he has made plans to go out with his buddy to see a comedian and go to the bar. this is the first time he has done this in the last 5 years. so yet again not including me . maybe it's just me but it makes me really sad that all of a sudden it seems like he just doesn't want me around. i also told him what bothers me the most is that he keeps making all these plans and excluding me and not once has he suggested that after baby is born we do something together as a family or even suggest we do anything as a couple. he didn't say anything. any advice would help, am i just being stupid or would anyone else feel the same way i do??

I'm over 35 weeks pregnant with my first child. I know that labor happens differently for everyone from people feeling only pressure until their dilating those last few centimeters to people who have hard labor pains for days. I've had braxton hicks contractions since I was six months. The past few weeks, though, there has been more pressure with them. As of the past few days, there has been pain in my back when they come, as well as more intense pressure, and they've been coming more often. It just doesn't feel the same as it used to. Last night it felt like I was cramping through some of the contractions that were coming every few hours. Today, the contractions have been coming about every hour. I'm feeling pain in my back, but just a lot of pressure otherwise. When they hit I feel like I'm getting a hot flash, and have to breathe myself through the shock and pressure. I don't want to call my doctor if I'm not in real labor, so I guess my question is are these contractions just normal braxton hicks, or could I be in early labor?

ok so when i was 25 weeks pregnant i measured 28 weeks (3 weeks ahead) now i am 28 weeks and i am measuring 35 weeks (7 weeks ahead) my due date cannot be wrong because i know when my last period was and when i was 7 weeks they verified my due date. i do not have diabetes did this happen to anyone else? does anyone have any idea what could be going on? thanks

I am currently 33 weeks 5 days pregnant with baby #2. When I was 31 weeks I was diagnosed with Pregnancy Induced Hypertension and mild Preeclampsia. I was also having lots of contractions in the hospital so they called it pre-term labor but they stopped on there own. I am currently dilated to about 1-2cms and around 50% effaced already and on bed rest. Doctors are trying to get me to 35 weeks before needing to induce but don't expect me to make it much past 36. So any of you moms delivered between weeks 34 and 36 and what was the outcome? How big was baby and did the baby have any problems? Did the baby need a lvl 2 or lvl 3 nicu and how long did they have to stay? Any stories or advice is appreciated. Its possible I could go longer but I want to prepare myself for the real possibility of having her early. Also one week ago they estimated my babys weight at 4lbs 10oz. also my when my son was born (even though he was very overdue) he had a hole in one lung and extra fluid and wasnt breathing. He was in a lvl 2 with lots of machines and monitors so I know what to expect as far as if the baby needs to be in an intensive care nursery but no clue about the prematurity part.

How do you know when your cervix is soft and if you are dialating?? My partner thinks if he looks then he can tell. I want to look and see if my cervix is softening and i am slowly dialating as i dont want to go back to the hospital again. They must be sick of me. Im 35 weeks pregnant

I am not on birth control. I am not pregnant. I was on birth control last year, and stopped in September. Since then, my periods have been mixed up. My periods have been getting farther apart each month. Last month it was a 35 day cycle, so I was expecting an even longer cycle this month. I began spotting about 3 weeks after my last period. It was very light but had a small amount of tissue each time I used the rest room along with the blood. It is not normal bleeding, but mostly brown-ish. It has been about 6 days now and I think it is almost over. (i hope) One nurse told me I may have endometriosis because of other symptoms, but I'm just worried now about if anyone else has had this and what it turned out to be.

I have another 1 this Friday to see how much he weighs! So Lately I have been feeling really tired! I work 8-5 & about 2 everday I hit a wall & get so tired! I guess thats normal though! I have minor swelling in my ankles but nothing a stranger would really even notice. I feel fat & had a question about weight.....how much did you gain by month 8th? Im up to almost 35lbs already! I know I dont eat as healthy as I should but I do try to do cardio at least 3 days a week (usually only for 30 mins) just walking or the elyptical. I started at 135 & was just under 170 at my last appt. I keep reading post where women only gained like 20 by now and I am wondering if I am the only one who put on 35!! Also I have been getting these sharp pains in my breasts....not all the time maybe a few times a day...is this normal? They already went up 2 sizes! 1 last thing.....I feel like I have to go to the bathroom all the time! I do drink alot of water (I crave it!!) & i was checked for a UTI & dont have 1. Dr. said its b/c the baby is squishing the bladder so only a little bit can make it feel full! Any1 else have this?? Just wondering if these things I'm going though are normal & if anything 1 else has them!! Hope ur pregnancy is going well :)

my last period was january 29,2010 now it is march 10 i normally come on every 32-35 days i have never missed a period. usaully about a week or two before i come on i feel my symptoms which includes sore breast. i have not felt any symptoms thus far. i took a home pt on the 7th which came out negative. this is really weird and different so idk what to think.can i be pregnant? i really dont have much to stress about and my eating habits are the same so i doubted if that caused my missed period.!! i need advice. thanks
