I'm 36 weeks pregnant, and today my doctor says my baby is 2 weeks behind.. can someone tell me what this means & If it's bad?

I am 36 weeks and 5 days pregnant. Last night I was lying on the couch and felt some water come out onto my leg/crotch area. It wasn't watery-like discharge, it definitely felt just like water and had no smell or color. I stood up and some more trickled out and trickled out all the way to the bathroom but never gushed or seemed like it was for sure my water breaking like in the movies. (sorry this is getting long) I went to bed lastnite since it had stopped leaking for a while and I was woken up this morning with some more trickling down my leg and in my underwear. Now this morning I haven't really had any more significant leaking, just a tiny bit here and there. The only catch, that is making it hard for me to figure what to do, is that I have been using EPO (evening primrose oil) inserted at night to help my cervix thin/efface for about 12 days. I couldn't tell this morning if I was leaking only EPO or if there was more amniotic fluid, BUT lastnite when it trickled out the first time I had not put any EPO in yet. Also, I have been having and increased amount of dull low backache and painless braxton hicks type contractions since right before this all started lastnite. SO, did my water break, am I leaking, or is it something else totally different and I am just officiallyy crazy from being pregnant so long? * Sorry that was really long. I know that I can/should call my doctor or L&D but I wanted some opinions before I do since I am waiting for my Husband to come home first.

I am almost 36 week pregnant with my second, and still nursing my first (he'll be 2 the end of march). The problem is that I despise nursing at the moment, and have since quite early in my pregnancy. I feel terrible about it, especially since DS still clearly wants to nurse and I so often refuse. I'm terrified that my displeasure for nursing won't go away by the time the baby is born. Just curious, I am 36 weeks and 1 day pregnant, and my baby girl is measuring between 34 and 35 weeks gestation by fundal height. So I am just wondering, if your babies measured "small" during your pregnancy, were they on the smaller side at birth? How many weeks gestation were they born? My 3 sons all measured 2 weeks bigger by fundal height and were all bigger babies for their gestation. So I am a little worried as to why this baby is "small." Thanks!

im 36 weeks and 2 days pregnant today im due on april 4 but last week at about 35w4d i was bleeding with chunks of blood in my urine so i went to the hospital the doctor checked me and saw that i was 4 cm dialated and was having contractions (not bad just mild back pain) every 2 to 3 minutes and so they were going to admit me into the hospital but the next day all bleeding stopped and contractions stopped so being that i am still not full term till next week and i wasnt in active labor they let me go home on bedrest. but if i am already 4cm dialated and 70% effaced this early do you think i will dialate faster than others ive also been having alot of white mucousy discharge not sure wat it is and lower back pain i think those are contractions and my baby is suuper low on my pelvis i can harly pick up my stomach LOL. so what do you guys think how long will it be till i go into labor?

im currently 34 1/2 weeks pregnant. both my older sisters had their kids around 36 weeks. keep in mind combined they have 8 kids, all pregnancies and babies were perfectly healthy. do you think i will follow in this pattern? i know every woman is different. anyone have situations that would give me insight? also my baby has been measuring big since the beginning.

He has been physically and emotionally abusive towards me up until I left him in November. I am sooooo mad at myself for getting pregnant. I don't want to deal with his ass for the next 18 years but I will have to because he won't give me full custody. I don't know what else to do. I have talked to him about putting her up for adoption but he says no and I don't want him raising her on his own. He's a recovering drug addict and is also a convicted felon.

I feel like crap! a few days ago i started having chest pains and now im having shortness of breath, I'm totally freaking out about this, I think i might be over reacting, I keep thinking theres something really wrong with me and im gonna die. I have severe anxiety and PTSD and panic disorder. I'm having a panic attack as I type this. Has anyone else gone threw this? I'm 36 weeks + 1 day pregnant and have been told the baby is small so i'm being monitored twice a week with CTG's and scans. No-one has actually said how small they think she is though. I had the midwife today and im measuring (my stomach) 29cm at 36 weeks. Anyone else measured around this size and is it extremely small or just a little smaller than should be :)

I have noticed that the past couple of days that it feels like my uterus is sore...all of it from top to bottom. I am 36 weeks pregnant and am having preeclampsia problems, but mainly its my kidneys so it might have to do with that...but I have noticed that if I touch my stomach to rub it or feel my baby move its sore to the touch...and recently my lower back has begun to hurt, kind of like a cramping feeling, but that might be due to being a little constipated....I do have braxton hicks contractions but those dont hurt... sometimes though my uterus does tighten up and its painful but I thought that was the way my baby was laying....but the tightness lasts a good 30 seconds or so...it doesnt happen every time my uterus tightens up just once in a while...maybe up to 3 times a day if that.... Is this normal or is it maybe signs of labor or something else maybe? Im going to call my doctor tomorrow but I wanted to know if any other women has been through this and what it turned out to be.... Thanks!!

I am 36 weeks along now but I am starting to think that my due date might be a little bit off. My due date was calculated based on my last menstrual cycle but is it possible to still get one last period but be pregnant? I guess what I am asking is if it's possible that I got pregnant right before my period and then got my period because it was so close? I just have a feeling that this baby will come much sooner than the due date....

My boobs are gigantic! My nipples are getting HUGE, like the size of a slice of lemon! I always had some major ta ta's (36 D) but now I can't even wear normal sizes coz they only go up to DD. My husband gets a big kick out of them but I am finding myself weirded out. Like another woman's breasts have taken over - invasion of the booby snatchers!! Okay Im 36 weeks pregnant and I was curious if I could take hydrocodone just for tonight for pain and to help me sleep. Ive tried taking benadryl but its not working..... I will only take it for tonight. Could this harm my unborn child if I take it only this once its a low dose.

wow so i'm 36 weeks pregnant and have been putting off packing for labor for awhile (i know i know, shame on me!) I'm having our child at a birthing center with a midwife. She gave us a list of the normal things to bring, (food, clothes for me + baby + hubby, blankets, pads, car seat etc) but i feel so lost as to what else i may need to bring, and if there are some things you other momma's wished you had brought that isn't normally suggested! Anyways, to clarify the question. What should i bring/pack for when i go into labor? i would love it if you were specific and gave reasons =] thanks so much for you're answers ^.^ A birthing center is like a home birth other than you're house! (at least the one i'm going to..) They will let me wear whatever i want, do whatever i need to do to safely and naturally bring our little girl into the world ^.^ no hospitals for me =] )

They themselves are not painful but if I try to move, it hurts a little. I woke up this morning and my shirt was wet on my boob. A HUGE spot too. Not just a little. Hey,I am 19 years old and 36 weeks pregnant. Lately I have been having the pains in my pelvic bones and in that area, especially at night turning over, or when I walk. I have a fairly short torso, and my belly isn't as big as most this far along, so I know that the baby's head is causing some of the pain, but is there anything that I can do for this pain? Tylenol is the only medicine that I am allowed to take, but it has made me vomit ever since I was little. The pain is really bothersome and I think I am having contractions too, because sometimes It feels like menstrual cramps. Also I have not lost my mucus plug yet, and I was wondering if all this can make it come out sooner than it's supposed to? I want to make it at least a couple more weeks before I go into labor. Thanks for your help.♥

would like to freeze a few meals for when we return home from the hospital. Does anyone have any recipes that freeze well So far, all I've come up with is lasagna and soup...I really need a little more variety than that! Also, I LOVE spicy foods and southern cooking...any recipes are appreciated though!

This may sound daft but I'm puzzled. A woman tends to be bigger in subsequent pregnancies so is the fundus measurement still the same as if it were a 1st pregnancy/ It's just that I'm pregnant with my 2nd baby and my son had IUGR that wasn't detected till about 36 weeks. Hope this question makes sense, and I'd love to hear your thoughts or experiences. Kind Regards, Georgina

its been getting pretty unbarable everytime i move positions, get in and outta bed and also picking my son up and walking tried wearing support belt but that makes it worse and paracetamol does nothing, i really need something to help me get through the next 4 weeks as its just gettin worse everyday. any ideas???? thanks hi lisa did u go full term with the pregnacys u had this in? was it more painful? i have tried everthing if it was just me i would just get on with it but its getting harder and harder to look after my son who is only 10 months old. yeh have had physio and been given a support belt but its just made it worse wearing that so she has stopped it thanks

I am 28 weeks pregnant and i am in hospital because i had some painless light bleeding, i have been here for two weeks but have not had a bleed for about a week, I am told i am too stay here until they deliver, I have placenta previa and placenta accreta/percreta so my placenta has attached to my bladder, I was told if I do not have any more bleeding they will do a planned c-section at 36-37 weeks and only before that if i hemorrhage, If you have had either of these conditions could you please let me know when you delivered and why you delivered, what was the complications etc, these doctors give me different answers every day and its extremely frustrating:(, this is our 4th pregnancy so i know all about been pregnant just confused.

this has happened twice to me. They never get extremely painful or even progress in intensity.I went into L&D when it happened the first time 4 days ago and then it happened again last night i decided not to go since its 30 minutes away, but has this happened to anybody else. Oh when they checked me when i went in before i was 3 cm and 50 percent effaced and -2 but didnt change for 9 hours. This is my second baby

my doctor isn't very good at elaborating things so when i ask him a question i usually get either no answer at all or an answer that is not even reguarding what i asked. i should of found another doctor a long time ago. basically i just want to know if having wlking pneumonia this late in the pregnancy can effect the baby before birth or if it can effect the baby if i go into labor and deliver while sick because my friend said that her baby was born deaf because she had the flu when she delivered

My periods tend to be a little irregular. My last three periods were 37, 36, and 32 days so they seemed to be getting back on track. My last period was January 28th. I have had cramps like I am about to start my period any second for a week now. I usually have horrible pms and I haven't had any. My boobs aren't even sore at all and they usually hurt really bad. I should have started either March 1st or March 4th. I know you should use first morning urine but I couldn't wait so I took a pregnancy test a few minutes ago. I got a BFN. Should I assume the test was accurate? I am late by at least a few days. I have been under some stress though, and I started a new diet in which I'm trying to gain weight and take in more calories. I held my pee for about 4-5 hours but it looked a little diluted. It was more of a pale yellow. I haven't had too many liquids....I had half of a Dr. Pepper and that's all I've had for the last several hours. The last time I was pregnant I had a positive test a few days after my missed period and I took it in the afternoon. It was a really dark line, too. So am I probably not pregnant? I'm on CD 39 as of right now. I'm beginning to feel really discouraged.

We've been together since we were 13,we're almost 22 now. We were in love for the longest time felt like. It felt like we could live to 100 together but things started to fall apart between us. The first event that triggered it all,when a young woman about our age at the time,came to our place claiming that she was pregnant and it was his baby. At that time,we were still boyfriend & girlfriend. He denied that the baby was his,saying that he used protection,but did confess to cheating on me with her. He even ordered a DNA test to prove that the baby wasn't his. It wasn't. But after that,even though I told him I forgave him,I never really did. I never really trusted him after that which I felt bad for(up until a certain point). He proposed to me a few months after the test results came back. The second time,it was the same scenario but with a different woman about a year later. This time,he told me that the baby could very well be his since he had slept with her multiple times without protection. He got the DNA test which confirmed that he was the father. After finding out all of that,I got myself tested for every STD under the sun,he did too thinking that I would actually sleep with him anytime soon(or at all from the way I felt at that moment). He agreed to go to counseling when I told him I wasn't sure if I even wanted to be with anymore. Well my Dad,who I was very close to,died last year very suddenly which left me vulnerable & devastated. My fiance was there for me which,I guess made me run right back to him,'forgetting' everything. Our relationship went almost back to normal after that. We were like a real couple again which made me feel a whole lot better. =) I even found out I was pregnant(I'm 36 weeks now). As fate would have it, earlier tonight he comes & tells me that he's messed up again. It doesn't involve a child this time,well besides ours,but he had been with another woman(a third one),but he always used protection. He said that he hadn't been with her for the last 5 months,he broke it off with her. But he told me he was ready to get serious with me & stop hurting me all the time with the same stuff over & over. He was in tears this time which is the first time he's EVER shown real emotion over cheating on me. I don't know. Maybe it's because I'm tired of being hurt that I feel like if I bother to stay with him,my child & myself will be set up again to be hurt. But I also don't want to leave him. I feel like this time,maybe he'll really change. I'm really confused & I want to do what's best for both of us,the baby & me. I don't want our child growing up in a house where at any given time one of his/her father's 'other women' could come knocking at the door. Which would you do if you were in my position, leave or stay? Would you sit down & talk with him before making a final decision? I'm really stressing over this which is that last thing I need to be doing right now.

Hey! Well i'm 36 wks pregnant today. Was 2cm dilated & 75% effaced a lil over a week ago. I am high risk for preterm labor, so me making it this far is by far a great deal for me + my doctors. Anyway for three days, i've noticed my white thick discharge has gone away, but has changed to a clear water discharge, with really no smell. It is not a constant thing, and happens when i sit, lay, stand, walk, sneeze, cough. It makes anywhere from a 1in X 1in shape to a 2in X 2in shape each time it happens. I thought it may had been amniotic fluid, with a small leak. So I called my OBGYN office and they said not to worry, that it's more than likely just urine, because it's getting closer to time for baby, and she's getting more engaged in my pelvic area, and they will check me when i come in monday morning. So i'm trying not to worry, but I have seen everywhere, that when your water breaks/ or slowly leaks that you need to deliver within 24hrs because baby want get infections. However, I thought when your water breaks, or your are leaking then you start up contractions, and labor begins shortly after? -- the reason i think this could possibly be amniotic fluid is because the baby has been dropped since 32 wks, and i have just started getting this .. wldnt i have been had this happen if it was just urine?

36 weeks pregnant

I had a mucas show at 31 weeks and was told i could have an early labour maybe 4 weeks early and to keep an eye out but nothing happened my due date is the 1st of april and the last due date they gave me for being four weeks early was the 4th of march yesterday so i have obviously passed that stage. But i keep gettin pains in my belly the come and go .. they were really bad when i was in the bath its like a slight tightening cramp not to sore i can handle it its just kind of bugging when your walking about, they came every ten to forty seconds then faded away and i forgot the last time i had them, i know my girls engaged now and i have been bound in the house for a week or two cannot move my feet are killing me. i have back problems everything possible. i have a really bad stumoch e.g diorehea cant spell that lol .. and i am nesting aparantly on a guide pregnancy website its a sign of labour where i want to clean everything in sight lol .. then my pains ect.. really need help what do you think? i havent stopped walking about which is obviously a good thing because it can help bring labour on .. is there anyway of knowing if my cervix are rippening?

I got pregnant from a married man... I thought I loved him and I was so excited when I found out now its been hell. He left his wife (who is 36 weeks pregnant) before he found out she was pregnant, and now is living with her again. He says its just for the baby but I don't know. The reason he left her was because she had major anger issues and would flip out and hit him all the time. He said she hasn't done that crap for 3-4 months, and so he moved in with her and says its for the baby... he still texts me and I don't know if its bc I'm carrying his baby or if he misses me... he told me he isn't planning on getting back together with her, they're just living together... but people's minds can always change right? He could fall back in love with her if they're together all the time like that? Btw she already knows about me... and that I'm pregnant and she handled it really maturely and I think that made him more prone to go back...

Hi everyone, I am almost 36 weeks pregnant and for the past two weeks have had really soft number twos, almost diarrhea like, and very frequent too. Sometimes if I turn really fast while sitting I will get the cramps that tell me I'm ready for another one. I know this is TMI, but I have been reading this could be an indicator of early labor? I'm too embarassed to ask my doctor about it and I'm getting mixed answers from my books and from the web, anyone have any better advice? If it becomes an emergency I will call my doctor or the hospital but hoping I can resolve this before then.

At my 35 week doc app I asked my doc if he could tell on the ultrasound about how big my baby is right now and he said that she's between 5.75-6 pounds. I know that that measurement can go a little both ways (bigger/smaller), but does this sound about average for a 35 week baby? It sounded so big to me! My son was 8 lbs 14.5 oz and I had to have a c-section with him so I have to have a c-section this go around too, but I really wanted to be able to have an infant this time =) My son came out so big that he never seemed like an infant and he tested out at 42 weeks (the things that he was doing at birth compared to others). My doc said that any time after 36 weeks if I go into labor they will go ahead with my c-section and the baby will be just fine, he said that she looks good and healthy so there's no issue there. But I can't help but think about how big she will get if I do go until my 39th week when my c-section is scheduled. SO does this sound big for 35 weeks or not? My doc wasn't doing ultrasounds every app when I was pregnant with my son so I don't know how big he was before he was born, but he was big when he was born! Thanks so much! So i am depressed. I feel like a freaking cow. I am about to hit 36 weeks pregnant and I have gained 62 pounds already. Im scared that im going to hit like 70 before i have this baby. I dont eat a ton more than i used too, but i did loose 94 pounds less than a year before i got preggo. I am not gonna say i eat super healthy, but i definatly dont eat a ton more than normal either. Now i do know that i like salt now that im preggo and i rarely added it to anything before i was preggo. I also try to drink alot of water, but i will only drink bottled water and it cost alot to drink 4-5 bottles a day like the doctor wants me too, plus i love coke zero and cant seem to stay away from it. But still coke zero shouldnt be doing anything.. theres no sugar.. Now that i am getting closer i feel way more hungry all the time and i dont know what to do. We try to walk alot, which we were, but now its just so hard to breath. Going up and down my stairs at home is becoming a task. I am waying around 200 now and i just want to cry. My husband likes to tell me that i dont look like i have gained that much weight, but im not blind i can see it in the mirror. What can i do to feel better about this weight gain? How much weight did you ladies gain? Dont bother to write if your going to critize me. I dont need that with the depression i am having from the weight gain. Thanks all!

My sister-in-law is pregnant too and she told me lunchmeat is bad for babies... and I'm about 36 weeks pregnant... I don't eat it that often but my husband and I are so poor that its all that we really can afford... is my baby gonna be affected by it?

Well guys and girls, I'm now 38 weeks and yesterday had another growth scan. Tshe scan showed up that there is very little amniotic fluid, baby is not as active as what he should be and also said that he has only gained half a pound since my 36 week check up and growth scan. Consultant has booked me in for induction on Sunday and I'm starting to freak out. We also had CVS done at 13 weeks so that has ruled out a chromosome abnormality. Has anyone else been through something similar and everything has been fine? Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I'm beside myself with worry. xx

Okay i am 36 weeks pregnant BUT measuring 42 weeks plus. My doctor did a sweep on Tuesday, and i was soft and 3cm's when he did it. I have had period like cramps but nothing more. Last night i was in the bath and a huge piece of mucus plug came out, the biggest i have seen yet in this pregnancy. So i went walking hoping that things would move along, but nothing happened. So how will i know if the sweep worked or not? Also i will have another sweep on Monday if no baby. He said at 38 weeks he will induce me if nothing. I have not bled or anything from the sweep. He says he doesnt think i will still be pregnant by Monday, but who knows

I could not find an answer to my question online anywhere, maybe I was not looking in the right places. I know that GBS is not an STD and thus it cannot be transmitted sexually like an STD can. I am 36 weeks pregnant and just found out today that my test came back positive for GBS. I don't have any infection of any kind, just the bacteria. How will I tell this to my fiance? I mean, I know it's not an STD, but still, it's bacteria down there! i feel as if I am the most disgusting creature to walk this earth! I take so much care of myself down there, I change my underwear at least twice a day, I keep the area shaved. I just, don't know how I could have gotten this! Was it just the luck of the draw?! Anyways, will this at all affect my love life, I mean, what if he wants to go down there at some point, isn't that nasty?! Will he get sick? I just need to know everything that is possible with this. I'm sorry if this question was just slapped together, cause it is. I am just so depressed that I have this. I am having a c-section, my doctor said I needn't worry about the risks of passing it to my unborn child
