Resolved Question: Did you know that conservatives are out-breeding liberals?
(Mon, 06 Sep 2010 06:14:25 GMT)
Since they have the all those abortions and want to have alternative lifestyles conservatives are out-breeding them by 41%. 20% of the children end up eschewing their parent's ideology. Red states have higher fertility rates than blue states. And liberals are predicting the demise of conservatism when it's liberals who are are getting bred out. Isn't that funny?

Resolved Question: Do you think it's ignorant when people...?
(Sun, 22 Aug 2010 03:40:14 GMT)
I have wanted to ask this for a while and I just want some input. When people say it's better to put a child up for adoption rather than abort them, do you think most of these people understand what adoption really entails?
I'm not trying to start the debate about abortion vs. adoption, I just want input on adoption.
Being very honest, do you think most people who say adoption is better truly understand how adoption works and what it entails? There are THOUSANDS of kids nationwide up for ado

Resolved Question: Why is it wrong to be anti-adoption when you have been approached at least a half a dozen times to place?
(Fri, 20 Aug 2010 09:37:57 GMT)
your child or infant for adoption by strangers in stores and asked by a delivery nurse with your second child?
I guess I would view adoption differently if I wasn't approached to place my children for adoption by random people. Maybe I would feel how I did when I was pro-life that adoption is a great alternative to abortion. I AM pro-choice now and been so for some time now maybe 2 years.
Why is being anti-adoption a bad thing? Why would I support something that is about separating children

Resolved Question: What do you suggest for adoption reform?
(Thu, 19 Aug 2010 17:45:51 GMT)
This forum seems very politicized. Whether it’s the anti-abortion or anti-adoption folks the focus seems to be on general principles, not on real people. So, I am asking this to promote a serious discussion about ways to alleviate suffering. I am consternated when I see an anti-adoption post tell the adoptive parents on the forum to “lighten up.” Either you are serious or not. This isn’t a subject for recreational ranting.
Let me try to briefly outline the problems in a context that is not s

Resolved Question: I want to re-open this question: " Does the MRA movement boil down to this: Women are winning"?
(Tue, 17 Aug 2010 03:00:40 GMT)
Honestly, guys. Is there some component of this argument true? I'm sure we can all agree that women have been the ones writing and changing the rules as they have seen fit for the past 40 years, and it's very easy to "win" when you write the rules and change them capriciously.
BUT...
There is NO denying that in the same 40 years that women have been rising, an inordinate number of men have opted out of a university education or professions which require education.

Resolved Question: What do you think of this: “Anti-Adoption Advocates”: How Should We Respond?
(Sat, 14 Aug 2010 15:51:23 GMT)
http://catholicexchange.com/2008/11/11/114414/
Now that the election is over, one of the most chilling prospects of the future administration is the president-elect’s determination to sign the “Freedom of Choice Act” (FOCA). The implications of this — both financial and moral — are staggering, for it means our tax dollars may be used to snuff out the lives of millions of children. To be truly pro-life, then, is to seek ways to ensure that the need for abortion is eliminated, as far as we are

Resolved Question: A question to Christians about abortion?
(Tue, 10 Aug 2010 21:55:36 GMT)
Alright I know you have personal/religious problems with it, I myself am pro-choice, but I'm not here to discuss the morality of it or whether or not it goes against God with you. Now whether or not it is legal, and speaking from a strictly secular position I believe it should be, women will still go to get abortions. However, if it is legal then they can get the work done in a safe sterile enviroment if it is illegal then they may have to go for a rusty hanger up the cooch in a back alley in

Okay, so today I talked to my girlfriend and she said that she was pregnant. For the last month or so we have been doing it a lot but I thought it was all safe and she took her pills and what not but she said she was so stressed that she forgot....
She told me that she is pregnant, and she can't get an abortion either since she is Catholic (Hispanic). I am Indian (India), my parents don't oppose interracial marriages but they are not okay with me having a kid before marriage. I am in shock, p

Or do you feel that both are the same and should or should not be carried out?
What are your specific feelings and ideas for each issue?

Voting Question: Will I resent my boyfriend for making me get an abortion?

At the age of 27 finding out I'm pregnant (although unplanned) isn't the worse news to me :) But for my boyfriend it is! He is pressuring me like crazy to get an abortion because he doesn't feel that he is ready to be a father, get married, or even engaged for that matter! I'm working a temp job and he recently lost his, so he thinks this just isn't the right time, and if we can go with the alternative option, to get rid of it, it would be better. Resolved Question: what does it exactly mean to refer someone to "alternative abortion providers"?

I'm 17 weeks pregnant, and the only abortion clinic I could find only does surgical abortions up to the 16th week of pregnancy. They told me on their website that if a woman seeking abortion is more than 16 weeks pregnant they can refer her to "alternative abortion providers" What does that mean?

Resolved Question: Why do people feel like abortion is wrong?
(Sat, 17 Jul 2010 22:27:46 GMT)
I understand some women want to get pregnant and some have just had babies but how can so many people act like it is a terrible thing to have an abortion? And why do they always suggest adoption as an alternative to terminating a pregnancy? Why should a person that is not ready to parent carry a pregnancy to term? And please do not say for the sake of people that are unable to get pregnant and want a baby. That is not an answer it is a cop-out.

Resolved Question: My sister is almost 2 months pregnant and we're deciding where we can make a nursery?
(Fri, 16 Jul 2010 21:55:12 GMT)
Well, my sister finally told my mother about her vomiting and she decided to get her to a doctor. And that's when we found out that she was about 8 weeks pregnant. My sister wants to keep the baby because she doesn't believe in abortion and we (her family) are very supportive and are willing to help her until she has enough money to get her own place with her boyfriend (the baby's father).
In the mean time, our Mother says that she is wondering where she can put the baby. We have a basement.

Resolved Question: What is the possibility that I am pregnant?
(Thu, 15 Jul 2010 19:21:26 GMT)
So, to preface this, I tend to be a bit of a worrier in general. However, I am a little concerned that something is up. To start, I was on birth control for many years, and a few months ago decided to stop taking it because I was not having sex and because I don't like how it makes me feel (and the fact that I'm ingesting synthetic hormones). Anyways, last month I started taking it again because I started having sex again. I know that you should use an alternative method of birth control w

Resolved Question: Why do some of you look at adoption so negatively?
(Wed, 14 Jul 2010 14:15:43 GMT)
I am not trying to "troll" or piss anyone off. I just really want to know. It seems that the pervasive attitude on this section of Q&A is that adoption is bad, people are "selling" their babies when they give them up for adoption, etc.
My best friend from college was adopted and she loves her adoptive mother and father and doesn't consider them her "adoptive" parents. They are just plain old Mom and Dad. I always thought that adoption was a better alternative to abortion, or trying to raise a

There are many conflicts among this great diversity of beliefs over specific "hot" religious topics like equal rights for gays and lesbians, abortion access, physician assisted suicide, etc. However, there are many fundamental moral themes where the vast majority of these North American groups has reached a consensus:
Democracy is the best alternative for civil government, and often for their own organization.
Everyone is to be guaranteed freedom of speech, assembly, and religion.

Resolved Question: Do you think this will ever happen regarding abortion?
(Mon, 28 Jun 2010 20:48:38 GMT)
I'm not going to go into my beliefs on what I feel about abortion. But I got to thinking one day... What if future technology created an alternative to abortion? Wouldn't it be better if future technology allowed women to get rid of their babies and have it grown in some kind of man made uterus (like a machine uterus) that nurtures the baby so it could live out its growing period of 9 months it would need in the womb? So there would never be an abortion. No more terminating children, all it w

Orthodox medicine is wholly rejected by the Faith Assembly religious sect in Illinois. As a result, peri-natal mortality is 92 times greater than in Indiana as a whole and maternal mortality is the same as it was a hundred years ago!
I find this astonishing. I also can guarantee that this religious group will be against abortion. Such hypocrisy when they are purposefully killing their children by rejecting medicine.

I'm 21. If I was pregnant right now, I could have a child, or I could have an abortion. I wouldn't have any trouble finding a doctor willing to do either. I doubt anyone would tell me I was too young for either.
If I had a child, that would be a permanent decision. (Unless I have it up for adoption.) No one would tell me I'm too young to know what I want and should decide too early that I want children.

The Covenant seems to be just a space-faring version of the Catholic Church and they use rhetoric like "heretics" very frequently which is what Catholics address people who have created alternative philosophies that differ from the original that Christ intended.
