Open Question: I'm 36.5 weeks pregnant & seeking some advice?
(Thu, 09 Sep 2010 20:09:33 GMT)
So, I'm 36.5 weeks pregnant with my first child! My husband and I don't know the sex of the baby, and we've miscarried once before, which makes us SO excited to be first time parents!
I wen't from being 5'3" and 140 lbs to 156 lbs so far, and I feel really good. The baby kicks a lot and is very active! Also, I am hoping to have a natural, drug-free childbirth.
I was just sort of seeking some advice so maybe those of you that already have children could tell me a little bit about what labor w

Open Question: will those christians burn these verses?

19# Surah Maryam (Mary)------------------------
16. And mention in the Book (the Qur'an, O Muhammad , the story of) Maryam (Mary), when she withdrew in seclusion from her family to a place facing east.
17. She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent to her Our Ruh [angel Jibrael (Gabriel)], and he appeared before her in the form of a man in all respects.
18. She said: "Verily! I seek refuge with the Most Beneficent (Allah) from you, if you do fear Allah."

Open Question: What are the best ways to prepare my toddler for childbirth?
(Thu, 09 Sep 2010 19:03:38 GMT)
My husband and I are planning to have a home birth with two midwives for our second child due this February. (We HAVE done our homework nad feel that this is the best option for our family barring any unforeseen complications that might be cause to lead us to deliver in the hospital. So I'm not interested in hearing your opinion on whether or not home birth is safe. I KNOW it is safe.)
We are thinking about inviting my daughter (who will be four at the time) to stay and participate in the bir

Open Question: 36.5 weeks preggo... what do you think of the final name decision?
(Thu, 09 Sep 2010 17:17:43 GMT)
So, I'm 36.5 weeks preggo with my first child :)
My husband and I don't know what the sex of the baby is yet so it is so exciting!
Our minds are pretty much set, but I figured I'd ask one last time...
What do you think of the names we have decided on?
If it's a boy: Ethan Kurt Teagan (Kurt is after my husband, Teagan is our last name)
If it's a girl: Brooke Cecilia Teagan
Just looking for opinions :)
And also, just thought I'd add that we are hoping and planning to do a natural childbirth wit

Resolved Question: pooping during childbirth?
(Wed, 08 Sep 2010 23:05:31 GMT)
i'm 7 months pregnant (first time) and have heard from a lot of people that it's common to poop while pushing out the baby. well i know doctors and nurses see it all the time, but obviously i'd like to avoid it if i can.
so can i just poop while in labor? or would they not let me? because that would get all of that out of the system

(Wed, 08 Sep 2010 21:25:48 GMT)
Hi i gave birth to my son 16 weeks ago. I tore really badly and also had to get an episiotomy. My problem is that I have a small area of excess skin hanging down in my perineum at one side (the side that i got my episiotomy. It is not sore at all (it seems to have no nerves in it as it stretches and doesnt have any feeling at all when i touch it). I am just wondering if this is common and if this skin will heal up in time ?

Resolved Question: periods longer than 7 days after childbirth and IUD mirena?
(Wed, 08 Sep 2010 19:13:58 GMT)
For the last 10 months my period has been lasting for four weeks or more. It just goes and goes and goes. After the birth of my daughter in November of last year the same thing happens but that was understandable because I had just given birth. A month after giving birth I went to see my doctor for my 6 week checkup, there I had the IUD mirena inserted. It is almost a year that I had mirena. From that time until now, my periods have been lasting four weeks with only a few days of stopping. I a

Open Question: It is OK for women to cheat on their men?
(Wed, 08 Sep 2010 13:07:20 GMT)
Two points I want to bring up here, so just bear with me.
1) Women complain about it ALOT more than men do. On TV, when this happens, it's viewed as perfectly OK for the woman to raise hell on him whether it be physcially, emotional, mental, verbal, or even start destroying his personal possessions. Even though this had nothing to do with cheating, but rather it instead a man forgetting his wedding anniversary, do you remember that movie "Cop and a Half"? This short, stubby guy named Bobo for

Open Question: weak urinary stream after childbirth?
(Wed, 08 Sep 2010 05:58:23 GMT)
Ive noticed that since I had my son 4 wks ago, my urine stream is really weak. It takes me like two or three times the usual amount of time to empty my bladder because the urine comes out soo slow!! I have a doctor appointment next week, but I just wanted to know if this is normal or should I go in sooner, I mean I've waited 4 wks so it doesnt seem urgent. But why might this be happening and is there anything I can do at home prior to seeing my doctor to help ?

Resolved Question: Answer only if you have watched porn....?
(Wed, 08 Sep 2010 03:07:30 GMT)
This may seem like I'm kidding but I'm not. I don't want to seem rude but curiosity has gotten to me. The question is: Am I the only person who has been near permanently traumatized by the grossness of porn star vaginas? I dunno if the things I've seen are the norm, I haven't seen a lot of it and don't normally watch it from what I saw, some of them look saggy and torn up and misshapen and repulsive. You can't look for normal vaginas in porn cus you might accidentally get a pop up or somet

Resolved Question: Natural Childbirth...?
(Wed, 08 Sep 2010 02:58:27 GMT)
I'm wanting to get some information from moms who have had their children w/o epidural or anesthesia? How bad was it, did you go in planning natural, did you try natural and gave in to an epidural, are you glad you went natural? In general, I'd just like to hear experiences...I'm seriously considering going au naturale.

Open Question: for mums/women and mature people ONLY?
(Tue, 07 Sep 2010 21:44:41 GMT)
So i got out the shower about half an hour ago and randomly peed on the floor, i did it again about 3 minutes later and as i sat downstairs in my towel drying off i peed again twice. I don't need the toilet it just happens randomly, this has never happened before but I'm thinking maybe its got something to do with childbirth- my daughters 5 months old. Has anyone experienced this, it's really annoying and makes me feel disgusting :(
Nope, i didn't cough or sneeze just happened randomly!

(Tue, 07 Sep 2010 01:42:50 GMT)
Hello everyone, my name is Jared, I am 27 years old and have been married to my wife Alyssa, who is 24, for two years. Alyssa and I are expecting our first child on September 26th. We are both extremely excited about this, however I don't know a lot about the labor and delivery process and what to expect on my part, how things will go, or what I should and shouldn't do. There are books for Alyssa, and we signed up for childbirth classes but had an emergency come up and we were unable to attend

Voting Question: What's up with all these pains after childbirth?
(Sun, 05 Sep 2010 18:44:47 GMT)
I had a vaginal delivery just under 2 weeks ago. I figured in many ways I'd feel better not carrying around sooooo much weight, but my joints are really hurting me. My knees in particular. What can I do to help make them feel better? Anyone else like this? I'd like to start walking and eventually exercise some weeks from now, but will be held back if my knees continue hurting. Also my right hip sometimes hurts, as well as the upper portion of my spine like i'm holding tension and the joi

I remember parts that happened in the book and I've tried whatsthatbook.com (I think that's the site's name). I read the book in the early 90's. The parts I remember are these: an actress has a daughter that she doesn't want anyone to know about so she keeps her hidden. Well the daughter falls in love with a young man named Tony who comes with workers to work on their roof?pool? they make love on the beach, she becomes pregnant. years later a reporter finds this girls diary. This isnt a pregnancy question but this seems to be the only category that ever answeres anything. I know they can be caused by pushing in childbirth so i was just wondering.

Voting Question: My church kicked me out! What do I do?
(Sat, 04 Sep 2010 23:54:30 GMT)
I was in Sunday school. I'm agnostic, so I wanted to find out as many questions as possible. I asked a lot, but here are some examples.
1. If childbirth pain is punishment for women, why do animals feel it?
2. If God has everything planned out, do we even have free will?
3. Why is the church against homosexuals and abortions. Homosexuals have the least amount of abortions in the world.
4. If God has a plan for us, why do we pray?
Apparently, a couple kids went home and said they were atheis

Voting Question: Is it possible that the reason so many women claim childbirth is painful is their inferior reproductive organs?
(Sat, 04 Sep 2010 22:39:08 GMT)
For me, childbirth was like vigorous exercise, like yoga or Pilates. But so many women whine and complain as if it were some horrible ordeal. Once I thought this was the weakness and laziness of pampered Western consumerist culture and a plot by the corporations to make people both fascinated by sex and terrified of the consequences.
Now, I realize I have a superiorvagina to theirs. As a very tall, very slender woman who still has womanly hips, I was readily able to pass children through m

Hiya! This is an excerpt from the first chap. of my novel. It's about a petite 6-year-old being abused by her father after her mother dies during childbirth. It's a very sad book and brought tears to my eyes reading it. I'm publishing it soon!
"I have to be careful." I thought to myself as I took the pitcher of milk out of the fridge. It was almost empty, so there was no reason for me to spill it, but if I did, Daddy would be very mad at me and it would hurt. I knew he hated when I did someth

Voting Question: Extreme pain after eating in upper abdominal?
(Sat, 04 Sep 2010 06:39:20 GMT)
Lately in the past month, every time I eat, I get extreme pain in between where I would think my ribs are. The whole area across my body swells up and hardens. The area feels VERY tight. The pain goes through my back and my chest feels painful and heavy. It is very hard to breathe or let alone talk. I am unable to find comfort or relief in any position. Rubbing can help and so does taking a hot shower. I feel like I need to throw up every single time but I don't always throw up. Sometimes I ne

Resolved Question: How come some hospitals don't allow videotaping of childbirth?
(Sat, 04 Sep 2010 01:23:49 GMT)
Shouldn't it be up to the parents if they want the childbirth videotaped? I know it would probably get in the way of the hospital staff trying to do their job, but still it's a special moment that should be documented any way, right? I was kind of hoping to record my child's birth next month, but I'm not so sure if my hospital will let me.

Resolved Question: To people who were brought up as meat eaters and later became vegetarians....?
(Thu, 02 Sep 2010 19:28:19 GMT)
how did you abate your taste for meat? Regardless if one may ethically be against it, one still has cravings out of habit or conditioning. I still eat meat but would ultimately like to become a vegeterian although I would find veggie meals quite strange to me really as I feel like a part is missing. Likewise I have contemplated pescetarianism as a viable alternative. I know many equate fish on a par with land animals but from my research on their physiological design it is dubious whether they

Resolved Question: How much more are women going to sexually desire men in the afterlife than they do in this mortal realm?
(Thu, 02 Sep 2010 08:25:18 GMT)
The woman's sexual desire for the man in this mortal realm is a joke.
When they think of sex, they only think of what he can do, how they feel, they don't think about him looking sexy and think how lucky they are this sexy guy is doing them.
Isn't the woman's lack of physcial sexual desire for the man's body part of the curse males carry with them as a result of Adam sinning in the Garden of Eden?
Most women are unfortunately bi-sexual and can just turn off their desire for the man(even sexual

Resolved Question: For those who have gone through pregnancy and childbirth; is it easy?
(Thu, 02 Sep 2010 01:17:53 GMT)
Is pregnancy and childbirth like a walk in the park? Like scratching an itch? Something so trivial and insignificant that it doesn't impact your life in the slightest? Is the supposed pain of childbirth like a mosquito bite? Is the whole ordeal just entirely EASY?
I have never been pregnant. I never will be. So I can never understand. But there seem to be plenty of people out there who believe it is a piece of cake.
Well, I am asking those who have actual had the pleasure of experiencing it.
